As time progresses, research has brought to light that cold therapy can greatly reduce any pain/inflammation in the body. There has also been research that has shown it helps with depression and can uplift your mood after a certain amount of time to cold exposure. As someone who is an athlete and exercises often, discovering cryo has been life changing for helping me with my recovery from training. For context, I have gone everyday now for about 2 months and can most definitely say I see a difference in my energy levels, muscle soreness, and overall mood. Disclaimer - The cryo chamber is in fact very cold but there are four levels (beginner to advanced) of cold temperatures you get to choose from in case you are worried that might be too cold for you! The facility itself is very nice and the staff is also very helpful and friendly. Aside from doing cryotherapy (my main reason for going), vitality spa also offers leg compressions, cryo facials (LOVEEE THESE) body sculpting, and more. Cryo is something I recommend to everyone (regardless if you exercise or not) because of the many benefits such as pain relief, mood booster, anti aging, etc.

You name it. I have trained at many gyms in my life including NFL Combine Gyms, Crossfit boxes, dungeons, and the run of mill family fitness centers but this place tops them all. Their coaching staff & trainers are Top Notch! They actually care about meeting where you are with your fitness level and help you to the maximum to achieve your goals. I have a few old injuries that have really inhibited my weight loss goals in the past few years. Upon meeting Coaches Kevin, Meagan, and Ben they easily helped me establish a good starting point with my injuries and are helping me grow & transform so much more than any coach I've had since playing college football. It is definitely a blessing to have found this place since it has been a real struggle prior to me coming here to lose weight and train in pain. In the past few weeks I've haven't felt this strong and energetic in years. The people & facility here are truly amazing.

I opted for the cryotherapy, Whole body. In the dressing room, I put on their socks, gloves and slippers. I wore their robe into the chamber. I don't know why I initially thought I'd be wet, but cryotherapy is not water. It's cold air. It was like walking into a freezer at a restaurant, if you've ever worked in the food service industry. First timers get 3 minutes in the chamber. It's a stand up chamber with a frosted glass window so you can see out. I did not feel claustrophobic. It was set at -122 and snow flurries were moving about. My eye lashes and arm hairs had tiny icicles on them! I shivered a bit but it wasn't bad. You have the option to have music or not. There is also a timer and a lighted bar that give you a heads up to the remaining time. It seemed very fast. Upon entry and exit, they take your temperature. They want to be sure you don't get too cold and they use that data for future sessions. The socks, gloves and robe are laundered, so there's a hamper for the used items. They have other therapy as well- theragun, compression boots, sauna etc. I gave four stars because I feel like I should have received a more comprehensive treatment plan, such as recommendations on how many sessions, how frequent, and what to expect - some sort of flyer or information. As a newbie, I have no idea going in what the mechanism of cryo is etc, so it would be nice to know. I do plan on going back. They have memberships for those who wanna take advantage of their many services. They also have some online specials if you check out their IG. My session was $35. There is a lot out front for parking. You can make an appointment online or you can walk in. They have a roomy waiting area.

My girlfriend & I came here for cryotherapy, staff and the doctor we spoke to are super friendly but that didn't help what was to happen next. They put my girlfriend in the cryotherapy machine & about 10 seconds in she's passed out with the doctor talking to us and watching her before hand with her head covered in nitrogen. I immediately ripped open the door and there she is laying in the machine looking as if she was having a seizure with purple lips. I picked her up and carried her out while she's still unconscious twitching. Doctor told me to sit her down and after a couple seconds she's wakes up and has no memory of what happen. He claimed that she may be dehydrated, she's an NPC bikini competitor and drinks two gallons a day! After being completely traumatized by it all they than had the nerves to charge me for her session. After doing research and speaking to her coach who has been doing this for years and very knowledgeable. Your head is suppose to be 8 INCHES above the nitrogen NOT THE MACHINE! I have a video of the nitrogen completely over the top her head.

As someone who is always looking for a quick recovery from soreness and to reduce inflammation, cryo is my immediate go-to! The results are truly remarkable. I had a shoulder injury and was tired of being in pain and was desperate enough to try anything and that's when I stumbled upon cryotherapy. A treatment that sends your body into shock by exposing you to temperatures between -160 to -220 degrees. It may sound painful but I promise it feels amazing! Now one thing I will say: One cryo session will not immediately heal you but will revive some pain. I want to say to maximize the benefit, 5 sessions of consecutive treatments in about a span of a week can make you feel substantially better. Not only did my pain levels decrease significantly, but my energy levels and overall mood improved as well.
