Megan is the DBT in charge of all the clients and office. I can't believe how professional, kind, and spot on with me. Hands on and is always there for all patients. Chris is The PTA and NICK is the PT TECH. The are beyond knowledgeable and right with you to make sure your doing everything right to make sure you don't exacerbate the problem. Never had better care kindness, and professionalism. They love their job and by the care I get that is quite true! I've had physical therapy elsewhere and have quit by 3 visits. We went to my follow up.yesterday and they took my staples out, and he said I still have 6-8 weeks of recuperating left. Yikes. I have been in extreme pain, like really bad. He Lady with the purple hair was so unprofessional, talking loudly to her kid on the phone, while patients waited for her finish. She speaks loudly about her personal life.. I had emergency surgery last July 13th after I fell down the stairs and broke my hip! I was going to switch from Great Basin Orthopedics, but changed my mind after being called about a bill that was denied by insurance. Girl had no clue about insurance on the phone. It was re-billed by insurance, she should have known that, MY GOD! I went in for an appt. And told the girl at the desk, that I had another appt. Next door at 3 pm, so that gave me an hour to be seen.... At 10 til3 pm, I went up and asked the other that I had to leave, as soon as I got up to the desk, my phone rang and it was SWIFT calling me and said, so sorry you missed your appt., I told him that I HAD BEEN IN THE LOBBY for an hour already, EVIDENTLY the first girl did NOT CHECK ME IN.... OH MY GOD again!!!!! THEY TOOK AN XEAY REALLY FAST, and we ran next door to my cardiologist...OMG!!!! Finished at 4 pm ,ad went back to SWIIFY where I was finally seen. They apologized, but STILL!!! Dr. lilyquist, who was the on call surgeon at NNMC and so, he did my surgery, he put 3 screws in my hip, where I should have hada total hip replacement.... Why is beyond me? Quick FIx I guess.. I am having trouble with screws, they are loose in my hip.. I can feel them when I walk, UGGH!! 6 months later it is still painful.... I went to GBO and saw Dr. Winkle, and he took an X-ray and said that i was 1/2" shorter in my left leg, WHAT????? So I had to go get a prosthetic for my shoes.... SO we go to the hangar clinic and they said I was 3/4" shorter.. MY GOD!! SO they made 2 pairs of my sketch ins , and added height to the left shoe of both pairs! I also bought a pair of crocs that were higher than normal., Hubby shaved off a little bit from the left croc, and I bought regular height crocs for tight foot, WORKS AWESOME! When i saw Dr. Winkle at GBO , he said I would need A Total Hip Replacement within the YEAR! OMG!! I am sooo not happy about that at all, wishing it would have been done in the first place, trusting the Emergency Dr., when I should not have. It cost me $400 out of my pocket for the prostethics, and that just annoys me and should be paid by Swift! I am glad to be back at GBO where the professionalism is amazing and admired! So disappointed in Swift.. When I was at Swift, when I said Lilyquist did my surgery, the Dr.s would chuckle and say Lilyquist?? He is a hand Dr...not a Hip Dr. He was the surgeon on call at NNMC! I really liked him too until he never said I was shorter on the left, and it's sooo obvious in the X-ray!

I was referred to Doctor Malcarney by a physician I know (and trust), so I set up the appointment…read more MRI was ordered, and the PA (Shawna Fearnley, who is very professional), filled me in on what tendons were no longer attached to my Humerus, and what needed to be done reconnect them (surgery)! Following this meeting, I must have come across three other physicians who all recommended Malcarney, one operating room RN who highly recommended Malcarney, and a bunch of other people at our Health Club (Should be called a recovery club) who gave high praise to Malcarney for her work on them! So I had the surgery (can't say that it was great since I was out cold when she was operating on me), but I can say that Malcarney and all of her team members were outstanding in their communications, their follow-up, their bedside manner, their subdued yet appreciated sense of humor, and their positive attitudes! It was as good of an experience as one can hope for, and the rest is up to the PT and my ability to follow his instructions... In closing, I have to say that I appreciate Malcarney's approach and how she and the PA explained it all. I highly recommend her, as do apparently countless other former patients in and around the Reno Area...I think that speaks volumes! You can't go wrong by going with Malcarney to perform the surgery...you can only go wrong by screwing up your shoulder (like I did)...Just glad that Doctor Malcarney was there to repair it all!

I showed up and they still had the time wrong. Dr. Child offered no help. It felt his ego came in to play and said well you went for surgery somewhere else so follow up there vs how can we help. I won't ever go back. It's really unfortunate that our small town has such a bad rep. Dr. Childs negligence is dangerous but gee, thanks for the referral.

I broke my humerus in 2 places on 1/29/23, so the upper bone in my arm was in 3 pieces. I went to Kyle Swanson and he saw me for 5 minutes and then had his tech put on a brace that didn't even cover the injury AND it cut off my circulation so dramatically that my hand doubled in size. I called the office several times because I was scared it was compartment syndrome. I left several messages saying that this was an emergency but they didn't answer or call me back. I had to go to the ER to find out it was his brace that had caused all of the swelling and it could have even further damage. Three days after visiting the ER, they STILL hadn't called back to see if I was in trouble. I had to call THEM. The girl said the office had been busy, and it's honestly alarming that they took on more patients than they could responsibly handle. I'm sure it creates a lot of profit but that's not how you treat people with serious injuries. I've never been so dangerously ignored by a doctor in my life. This office feels no responsibility for the well being of their patients and their care is horrendous. 2/19/24 UPDATE: Anne, from their billing department, just called me and told me that I wasn't justified in leaving this review. Nothing about this review is untrue and the fact that they would call me a year later to debate me is UNREAL. I needed their help a long time ago. BOTH the ER doc and my new doc confirmed that the brace Kyle Swanson HAD HIS TECH put on was actually making my arm worse. Also, Anne said I can't expect that they would call me back in two hours so I would have had to go to the ER doc anyway. Except, if he actually knew what he was doing in the first place I wouldn't have had to go to the ER because it was THE BRACE HE PUT ON that created the subsequent issues. I am truly blown away by the incompetence and callousness of this office. They gave me terrible care, didn't listen to my concerns, and now they are debating their own horrible practices with a patient that desperately needed help. PSA: Go anywhere else

I had a total of 7…read moreknee surgeries, he had me back to hiking and billing after my 5th surgery, then I took a terrible fall at work one morning and destroyed my knee, after fighting work comp and going through a surgery with another Dr work comp sent me to the made matters worse, I went back to Dr Swanson he was able to get my TKR approved (after fighting work comp for 3 years). Today I'm walking again, never will be 100% again but I have my freedom, I have my life back and he is the one I thank everyday!!! I recommend him highly

Dr Rappaport performed a 3 level surgery on my neck. That was back in June of this year 2023. I feel like I have a new neck. Dr R is an amazing surgeon and everybody who works for him has always been so kind and efficient. I have recommended two other people for surgeries who were hopeless and they are happy as well.
