When My baby brother was young at the time, he complained a lot about his stomach hurting (mind you…read morehe was only 10). Our grandma would always take him in and we would always get the same results, "nothing is wrong with him." Until one day our baby brother got air lifted to a Reno's Children's Hospital and they figured out that it was his HEART! Unfortunately he did pass away but He got to live an extra 3 years thanks to the Children's Hospital in Reno and Utah. Now my other brother (he never ever complains about anything) looks so in pain and uncomfortable. We were not sure what was going on and his breathing was off. Unfortunately This BANNER CHURCHILL EMERGENCY ROOM says they can't do anything, that he needs to see a Primary Care Doctor???!!!!?? That is why we went to the emergency room & because he was having respiratory issues! There was NO tests done, NO CT scans, nothing! This is ridiculous.

BEWARE!!! Parents…read moredeserve honest, transparent billing -- not confusion, stress, and surprise charges months after delivery. Be extremely careful before trusting this hospital with your care or your money. Just because this hospital seems affordable, be warned -- they'll hit you with hidden charges and endless billing runarounds. I was quoted about $10,500 for childbirth and paid $6,500 upfront based on that estimate. After my baby was born, I was shocked to receive a bill for just over $10,500 with no sign of my $6,500 payment anywhere. I called billing and was told to wait for my payment to be applied. Weeks later, only $2,700 of my $6,500 showed up, and the rest vanished without explanation. Every monthly statement since has shown $2700 as if the $3800 disappeared into thin air. I've called multiple times and received completely different answers each time. One person said the total was correct because of insurance payments (even though the statements already show those adjustments). Another said the real total was $22,000 and insurance barely paid anything -- which doesn't match the itemized bills showing only about $1,000 from insurance. Then I asked specifically where the $6500 went and they gave me amounts that didn't add up to $6500 and also listed adjustments that the insurance paid which is not what I asked. YOU WILL NEVER GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER OUT OF THEM. No one can explain where my $6,500 went or why they still claim I owe another $5,700. Their own math doesn't add up, and they've been unwilling or unable to give a clear breakdown. I have all the documents and invoices that THEY provided. Either they are lying, or giving me statements that are not accurate. I will never come back to this hospital again and I will fight them to no end. At this point I don't care about the money, it's about principle.

Good experience. Not too long of a wait. Nurse was professional, although she did get my weight…read morewrong by like 20 pounds. *shock face here* I mean, do they not have an accurate kg to lbs converter? How do you get 249 pounds from 103.75 kg? Unbelievable. I came home and weighed myself and I am 228 pounds!! This is unacceptable as weight is important for various medical reasons! At any rate, nurse practitioner Jean was great, though, she came in shortly after the nurse took my vitals, answered my questions and ordered a Covid/Influenza test that I needed then prescribed the right meds. Moreover, I was impressed that by the time I got to the pharmacy, my meds were ready - no waiting on the doctor's office to send over, none of that. And ... nurse practitioner Jean even sent me a message at 5:02 pm (2 minutes AFTER they closed) to let me know that since I tested positive for influenza A, she prescribed tamiful. Yes, meds were ready when I went to pick up. So, the nurse getting my weight wrong was one of the reasons for the 4 stars. The other reason is that when I walked in, 1 of the check-in workers did not even look up from her desk, despite not assisting anyone. I looked at her, tried to make eye contact, but like I said, she wouldn't even look up. So I waited for the other check-in clerks to finish then I made eye contact with her and she gestured for me to walk over. Unbelievable. I am trying really hard not to name names (only for positive reviews), but this was quite disappointing. What made it even worse is that the other worker quickly assisted others when they walked in, like what the heck? At any rate, I had a good experience and will return in the future should the need ever arise.
