Shortly after we moved in, my wife dropped a business card in a jar at a Farmers' Market where Anderson Windows had a booth. Josh came by over the summer and talked to my wife for quite a while about bay windows. He offerend some impressive new resident deals and summer discounts and my wife and I decided to wait and contemplate all the options and possibilities. Months went by and there was a cold snap one evening, during which I noticed the rear sliding glass door had frost on the inside. That suggested there was a problem with the door frame and moisture seeping in between the panes. We contacted Anderson again and even asked if the same salesman could be sent to our appointment. Josh showed up a second time, recognized us and the house, and showed us lots of options for sliding glass doors. When my wife asked, he called a supervisor and was able to offer the same discounts -- even though it was no longer summer. The bay window had been something of a whim; the sliding glass door had problems and needed to be replaced. We chose our options carefully, took advantage of the great discounts, and placed our order. Josh said it would probably be a little after the start of the year before our materials could be customized and assembled into a kit. A few weeks later, we got a text and an email from Anderson, stating they had completed the customization and pre-assembly and asking if we could be ready for installation on the first of December! We were quite happy with that, and made arrangements to be home and ready for noisy construction right after Thansgiving weekend. Jose was phenomenal! Although I expected him to arrive at Noon, my wife reminded me Anderson had mentioned he would arrive between Noon and 2PM. When he arrived around 1PM he noted that his partner had injured his shoulder at the previous job site and would, hopefully, be joining us later. I figured the half-day job for two people had just become a full-day job for one and it was already past noon when Jose arrived. I had online meetings to attend and my wife had phone calls to make, so we left Jose to do his thing and let him know which doors to knock on if he needed anything or had any questions. At that point, Jose fetched his tools and started in on the work. Jose was quite meticulous and precise in his work. I came out a few times just to see how things were going and he was always busy and never made much of a mess, even with the demolition efforts. At one point I was quite impressed to see him adjusting the frame all by himself, just nudghing the whole thing back and forth with his toes and the palm of his hand. It was clear he knew exactly what he needed to do and that he had a lot of experience doing all of the required steps. About five hours later I was surprised to come out and find him finishing up. He had never asked for anything and his partner had never joined him, but he got everything done and polished up without needing any involvement from me or my wife. He spent about a half-hour showing me the features and giving me special care and usage instructions, then my wife came out to ask if the job was done and he spent another 15 minute reiterating everything. We've had the new door for about a week now and it's working flawlessly. We're ecstatic that it could be delivered well before Christmas (and a couple days before our first real snowfall in the City of Loveland) and that Anderson was able to honor the discount they had offered months earlier. Do not use this company. Their product is no better than builder grade windows. We have had so many issues with the Install and the product. The installers were terrible! And now the windows are constantly not closing right or get jammed. They are not easy to use. And the demo, the windows were to stop heat transfer. THIS IS NOT TRUE. These are not more efficient, and the company does not care if you like their product. They have done nothing to resolved the dissatisfaction. I spent a great deal of money, and it was not worth it. DO NOT USE ANDERSEN, EVER! We have had nothing but problems with them. I posted in January of this year with all the problems we've had. Update 5 month later, it's still not right. They are finally coming to fix the bottom slider that has had a broken lock for 3 months (yes, the door has been open and can not be locked), BUT for some reason they still can't find us a screen for the upstairs slider. It sure would be nice to have a screen door for summer! He's ordering it again, but I have little faith it will arrive before summer is over. Guess I'll be living w/ a lot of bugs in the house. I rarely post negative reviews, and never have I done it twice, but this has been a disaster from day one. Anderson has measured our windows wrong twice, thus delaying the installation by months. Meanwhile, we have to pay interest for a job that is not getting done on time. Anderson has been negligent about getting back to us in a timely manner and is offering very little compensation for the mistakes that they made which are costing us. When we call management they blame the production line as if that lets them off the hook. Anderson is Anderson no matter who there is making the mistakes. Anderson has been nothing but a headache in every regard. We wish that we had never gotten involved with them. read more

Avoid Renewal by Andersen Windows at all costs. The windows we have had for just over about a year are awful. Still waiting for them to correct a problem with the installation. Windows actually made our house colder than the ones we replaced. Salesman said there were all sorts of modifications that we could ask for but when it came time to make the changes, we couldn't do anything. We can actually see the blinds moving in heavy winds. I had a leak in one of my windows in a recent rainstorm. I stopped by the Andersen tent at NewWestFest in Fort Collins to ask what I should do. The person who spoke with me (who signed his name Derek B) talked me into scheduling a free visit in which I would be told the problem with the window and Andersen's price for fixing it. He told me I could choose one of three times for ANY day - a morning, midday (12 or so?), and evening (6pm) time for any day of the week for my appointment. I picked Sunday at 6pm, and verified that an appointment on a Sunday evening would happen, because it seemed unusual. He assured me IT WOULD and that they were available at that time. They never came. I called, left a detailed message...and now, three days later, I have not heard back yet on being stood up for my appointment. So, Andersen, if you check these reviews...how about a reply? A callback?? 'Cause as of right now, I'm NOT impressed. read more

Renewal by Andersen, What good is the product if the customer service is horrible? That is what I am now asking myself. I had always heard that they treated their customers great, and that is not the case here. I originally ordered my glass sliding door in August and they told me that I would have a install at the beginning of November and I had to keep calling them to beg for a install date. They finally gave me an install date of the middle of December. I asked for an earlier date at least a week sooner to not conflict with work. I had to try and reach out to many people and when they finally got back to me they gave me a even later date of Dec 17th. The installer was good however I noticed after he left there were a couple of problems. The paint was damaged on the outside of the house surrounding the door and also the top trim piece was scratched. The door is difficult to lock and it hurts my hand. If I don't push it closed very easy it will not lock and then I have to pull it back slightly to lock it and then sometimes it will open slightly. It has become a pain in the neck. They sent out a painter pretty Quick to take care of the outside paint damage, however they would only give me date of Jan. 29th to have the lock and trim taken care of. When that date arrived I had taken off work to be home and the day before they called and they cancelled and told me a new date of Feb. 6th They told me that they just do not have anyone to come out for the repair. I told them that I had taken off work and that I was upset and they just said that's too bad. So here we are it is Feb. 6th and I tried to confirm with them that they are still coming and I cannot get anyone to call me back. The day is more than half over and so far they are a no show for the repair that they rescheduled. I wanted to replace the rest of the windows in my house and I will definitely not use this company !! This is not good customer service as far a I am concerned. I should have went with Champion !! READ FIRST before using this company! One day in Fort Collins, I was approached at my home by "D'avian," the Renewal by Andersen soliciter. He was persistent, and I eventually had to be rude to get him to leave. He swore at me, and left. Later that night, he came back to my house several times, attacking my house, swearing at me, with a lot of threats. Eventually, I was able to id him. I alerted Renewal by Andersen. They had a manager come to my house. He pulled up "D'avian's" Facebook. We quickly cracked the case. I'll never forget the look of shock on the managers face as he looked at countless pics of his employee smoking pot, and many other images no one would want representing their company. He apologized and left. After that, when I called the company to follow up, they treated me like I was the protagonist. They didn't even fire "D'avian" until the Fort Collins police got involved. Renewal by Andersen didn't apologize, they took no responsibility for their employee terrorizing my family, and they finally told me "we fired D'avian, stop calling us. They definitely do not vet any of their employees before hiring them. I would think long and hard before you let anyone from this company in your home. I moved. read more

Horrible experiences with this company. We bought 11 windows and a sliding glass door. You think we could get decent customer service. Its a chore to get someone to look at problems, even when they are legit. I will never use them again or leave a good review anywhere. $30,000 wasted on half assed product and customer service. read more

We had MR come to our house to give us her "demonstration". After sitting through her talk, we told her we thought her estimate was too high for our budget. She then proceeded to insult us by telling us we were not "Andersen" customers, we would be perfect for the low budget windows that would have to be replaced every 3 years, so "good luck with that" and promptly left! We are very pleased with the company we chose....4 star rated....and to MR @ Andersen...good luck with that!!!! read more

There's a reason they have a 1 star rating...they're awful. We drove up to Estes Park to meet with Renewal by Anderson. They never showed up. We called and got the "My bad" excuse. This company receives multiple reviews of horrible or poor service. Run...don't walk to someone else. There are too many great companies to waste your time on. read more

I called this company to schedule an estimate to have the windows in my home replaced. They said in order to schedule the estimate both spouses had to be home. I told them my husband is a pilot and there is not a time I can guarantee him to be home. Because there is no guarantee he would be there, they told me unfortunately they could not schedule the estimate! What?! Makes absolutely no sense to me! This review is in regards to the customer service I received when I called to schedule an estimate. I would give them zero stars if I could. After obtaining 2 other estimates from BBB accredited companies, I called this one. The rep asked me excessive mostly unnecessary questions that no other company asked, but I pushed through. Then they told me that I must have all adults in my home at the appt. I told them I would be there and that I was the sole home owner and the person they would be dealing with. They continued to push that I needed all adults as if I was lying. I said repeatedly that I am the SOLE owner of my home, decision maker and the person paying for the windows. Finally after I made my annoyance clear he stopped and then right at we were ending the call he recapped and asked for the names of the adults in my household. I lost it. I told him he only needed my name. About an hour later the office manager called and she asked the same questions! Basically telling me that my husband needed to be at the appt with me. I am not married and I am the sole home owner and they don't need to know anything about my 19 yr old child nor does he need to be present and he has no say over what I do to my home. I'm the parent. But she wouldn't let up. The office manager proceeded to tell me over and over they were following BBB guidelines and were required to ask the questions and conduct the call the way they did. FYI I am letting the BBB know they are doing a bang up job asking their required questions. I canceled the appt and hung up AND SHE CALLED BACK and said nothing and hung up!!! These people are unbalanced! I wouldn't give them 10 cents to work on my home. The next morning I met with the Champion Windows rep again and put down my deposit. I never fill out these online evaluations but I am so frustrated and disappointed with my recent interactions with this company that I have been compelled to write this review. We installed 7 windows in August with Andersen in Fort Collins with the intent to install 5 more at a price that had been guaranteed to us for one year by our initial salesperson. When I called a week ago to arrange the next installation, i was told the company had been reorganized and they would need to send out a new salesperson to give us a new bid--with the implication that we may get a lower price. In fact then the sales person arrived, she informed us the company had been sold, the former owner had decided to retire and was living on a sailboat in the virgin islands, and the company could no longer honor the quote we had been given in June. Our records had apparently been purged from their computer system as they couldn't find us in their files despite the fact we had spent over $13000 with them 3 months ago. The new quote was nearly double the old quote and the sales person more or less told us to go to Home Depot if we were not happy with the price. I can't remember ever having this kind of experience with another company and would not recommend them to anyone. read more
