This might have been the best experience we could have asked for. In our 1965 home, we had some old drafty windows that were the worst to deal with, especially in the winter. We met with Sean in May to get an estimate and there was no pressure to move forward at all. We decided to move forward with replacing the majority of the windows in our house. Some were already replaced so we went with the older windows. We had a total of eight windows that we were looking forward to having new ones installed. We were sold by the pricing we had compared to other businesses and the overall quality that Sean showed to us in our meeting. With the time it took them to get the windows made specifically for our house, we had time to get things ready and in order before they arrived to do the work. Josh and his crew that arrived and did the work were friendly, personable and did it in half of the time that we were originally told. We were so happy with how quickly they got the job done, and how careful they were. They covered everything in the rooms to keep things clean, cleaned up after they were done and just like that, we have new windows! I had my upstairs windows replaced last year by another company. I am currently getting options for my first floor. the salesman was nice, discussed my options and gave me the pricing. as he was wrapping up he told me he would see me in 10 yrs to replace my upstairs windows because as he said, the company used inferior windows. i am getting other estimates but sadly, Renewal by Anderson will not be getting the job because of one stupid sentence. My wife and I wanted to leave this review so that people TRULY knew what they were getting in to when reaching out to work with Renewal by Anderson or approached and coaxed into a consultation by people going door to door because it is not what it was presented as. We are very patient and do not complain often, but this was next level, so felt the need to share. We were expecting a quick 15-20 minute estimate and explanation of product so we were quite taken back by the elaborate presentation and demonstration (have you ever been coaxed into a timeshare presentation? This is basically that, but with windows). Other than the fact that Mike (the guy who came out to do our presentation) was open and accepting of our animals in the house, we did not appreciate his style at all. His sales tactics were rude and arrogant. One of the first things he said was when I'm done with this, you are absolutely going to want to buy my windows - which our immediate response in our head was ok I'm definitely not buying your windows. He spoke down about anything and everything. Our windows were trash, other window companies had garbage product, etc. There's a tactful way to sell something without being incredibly arrogant. It's off putting and immediately shuts us down. We wanted to end the demonstration after 15 minutes based on his arrogance with his sales pitch. We don't doubt that Anderson might have a great product and very well may be the best on the market, but we will go somewhere else purely based on this demonstration (and the follow up, which ill get to) that we received. They should definitely make it clear that this is not just a window estimate and be prepared to sit through potentially hours of someone telling you every detail and fact about their windows and why everyone else sucks. Again, this could have been done tastefully, respectfully, and way more efficiently - preferably under 30 minutes. We had plans that we could have attended that night, but based on the fact that he was at our home for 97 minutes, the decision was made for us that we weren't going. We made it clear that we were still in the early decision phase, just looking and getting quotes at this time and we did respect the fact that he was not pushy about not showing us payment plans we were not interested in. However, at the end when he asked what we honestly thought and if we were actually going to move forward and we stated again that were still in the process of looking around he basically told us that meant we were not serious and not going to buy his windows - and he was right about the last part! When we said we were going to continue doing research he said that he already showed us the research and that meant we weren't serious. I'm sorry but anyone who gets one quote and just blindly throws away $52,000 without doing any other research is stupid. Sensible homeowners always will get multiple quotes and do research on the products out there before throwing away that much money. Then, after a few days they have called our phone THIRTEEN times in three days. No voicemail, just continuously calling. If you have something to say, leave a voicemail. If we wanted to talk to you, we would answer. Again, this feels pushy and rude. Mike was respectful of our home and was extremely welcoming of our pets all up in his space and investigating his bags and I'm sure he is a lovely person but this is purely a review of his/Anderson's sales pitch and the way he spoke throughout. Word of mouth is powerful advertising and we will speak our feelings about our experience to anyone who is in the market for windows. read more

Had called here for a quote to replace my sliding patio door and an appointment was scheduled 3 weeks later. Received a call to confirm appt. and review my request. When I reviewed my request for a quote on one(1) patio sliding door I was told they will only do a minimum of 4 items( windows, etc.). Nowhere in their print or TV advertising is this mentioned. I called and scheduled an appointment for a consultation and quote for the following week. I never received a call over the weekend confirming my appointment, as I was told I would receive. I called them back to make sure I still had the appointment, and it turns out my consultation was never even scheduled to begin with (despite being assured when I initially called that I was all set). I cannot speak on the quality of their workmanship because we are choosing not to get that far. Estimator showed up and declined to give us a quote. My wife answered the door whereupon the estimator asked "where's your husband?". They then cited that "both parties needed to be present". Though, an estimator showed up at a colleagues home not 2 weeks ago who has a wife but was given a 1:1 discussion, sales pitch and quote without his wife present as she was unavailable. Come to find out that this is an antiquated, misogynistic and pressure-based tactic to limit excuses of prospective customers to sign an agreement on the spot. We were very clear when setting up the appointment with office staff that we would gather a minimum of 3 quotes and would not sign anything on the spot. After a few days, they called my wife to reschedule and I ended up picking up the phone. I spoke to the office staff about the situation - initially wasting our time, abjecting my wife as a illegitimate party, and underlining the conditions we mentioned regarding not signing day of quote receipt. Their office staff agreed with us, said both parties DO NOT need to be present and said they would make it right. We said we'd agree to set-up another time for an estimate and that my wife would make new arrangements to be home and call them back to reschedule. This was on a Saturday. It is now the next Friday. They called her seven times. She finally picked up the phone, spoke to the office staff (who was very pleasant, mind you) who said that they were calling to schedule an estimate. She rehashed the details whereupon the office staff said that the notes showed "the estimator showed up and (my wife) told them to reschedule because her husband wasn't there". Really? You are not getting our business. You are out of touch. Start treating people fairly and with respect. Be transparent and honest. And last, don't screw with people who understand business. We will be taking our $15,000+ business elsewhere and will be sure to tell everyone we meet to avoid Renewal by Andersen of Buffalo, NY at all costs. read more

Did NOT show up with the supplies needed, damaged our property, screwed up the price quote(multiple times), didn't provide the correct time frame to complete the job and now they don't know when they can come back to DO the job. Windows look great. Installers were good however we ordered white frames. We were told frames could be painted but not necessary. We got dirty frames that were not solid white... looked stained and many areas you could see the natural wood color. These frames absolutely need painting .... at our expense. Sent photos however never had any follow up . Great sales pitch however pitch not matching up to follow up from company. read more

Thinking that this would be a high pressure sale or the rep would be trying to become our best friend, we were happy to see that Adam knew his product, was precise in his presentation and answered all our questions. I was quoted by a couple neighborhood company's around the way alot of them had a decent price but RBA had windows with a great product and the knowledge to back it up. Had the company come out to my place and the process was smooth. I had the misfortune of meeting with a "salesman" named Timothy who oozed the sort of misogynist and aggressive personality that I had heard about this company on Nextdoor.com. He met with me, a female, instead of meeting with my husband, and made it clear he was unhappy about that. He implied that I could never make such a big decision on my own (how could my tiny brain handle such a mind-bending decision?!). Rather than focusing on windows, he made a point of interrogating me about previous quotes I had received, my occupation, details of my marriage and personal life, and overall bullying type behavior. It was so disappointing and unpleasant! While I may have considered this window product prior to meeting with this person, there is no way I would now. I also want to warn that this particular salesman was left alone for 2 minutes in my home and when I came back in the house, he came quickly out of a different room that I had never granted permission for him to be in. I received 3 quotes for the replacement of my first floor windows. Renewal by Anderson was the middle quote but their salesman Greg provided the most knowledgeable and impressive presentation. Windows are very expensive but nothing beats the satisfaction of receiving a product that surpasses your expectations like these windows. They look fantastic and they operate so easily. The installation took 3 guys 5 hours. Mike and his crew worked very efficiently and the results were terrific. I am ready now to order windows for my second floor. read more

We were looking to replace vinyl windows installed in 1985 in our 150 yr. old log home. When we contacted Renewal by Andersen, were impressed, not only by their product but also by the knowledgable salesman. Because of the unique house, project mgr. Jim sent a very professional crew to do the install. Juan, Edgar, and Jesus did an excellent job of installing the windows. Everything was cleaned up and taken away at the completion. Beware of the workers! I am absolutely disgusted by someone you have coming up to people's doors asking if they want a free inspection. This evening around 5:30 my 60 year old father got a knock on the door from your worker asking if he wanted a inspection of the windows and my father politely said "no thank you". The worker kept going on and on for at least 5 minutes and my father kept telling him "no thank you please leave". My father then told him that he was wasting his time so the worker proceeded to say "it can take all the time as needed because I am on the clock". My father again said "I don't want it leave" and proceeded to shut the door so he yelled to father " your windows suck". You have got to be kidding me that someone you have working for you would treat someone. He still didn't want to leave. We basically had to yell at him to get off of our property.
