There is a huge selection of offerings besides just piano. From our experience the learning and pace of the lessons adjust to the students. Children may or may not want to do competitions but it's up to them and how they feel which is great! This studio is managed by a group of people that love what they do and that is instilling an art upon a student. It's great to see the child develop from just tinkering a few keys to recitals. I've always wanted a koa wood uke and Koaloha's have so many models of koa wood! I also love that they're family run and owned and specially handcrafted. Even though we were far too late for their regularly scheduled tours, none other than owner and CEO Alan totally let us get a quick tour and we were super impressed with everything we learned about Koaloha 'ukulele. I was stunned at the size of this place, they have all kinds of stuff - I am not a musician so i was duly impressed; they even had the bongos I wanted a long, long time ago (long story). Drumsticks of all shapes, sizes and weight; guitars on the walls, sound systems, a room you can practice in (nice to listen to other players trying it out), accessories, albums, gifts, and more. A place well stocked like this makes me want to take up playing some kind of instrument. My husband will probably not like it.
