Setting his initial appointment here was easy and they were scheduling only a week out - so my expectations were high upon visiting this location. When my son and I arrived, the front desk staff were cordial and the medical assistant was pleasant. They have two separate waiting areas, one for the sick and the other for healthy patients. Both areas were organized and the healthy area had plenty of toys, books and a TV. After waiting in the healthy area we got placed in a clean room and my sons vitals were taken. My expectations quickly waned as Dr. Mir enters the room and stands far in the corner with her assistant. She didn't approach me for a handshake, I didn't get a smile - her expressions were completely cold. She never reviewed my sons medical history - I still had the new patient paperwork on my lap. Nevertheless, she started her interrogation based on her own assumptions. When she didn't like my polite yet accurate answer I provided about my family, she interrupted me and continued to talk over me, for the remainder of the visit. She then went on to explain the choices she made for her family, which were not pertinent to the visit. After much talk about nothing, she finally begins the physical exam on my son. Her attitude moves from cold to passive-aggressive. Dr. Mir starts to point out my sons physical flaws, in a malicious fashion. Every. Single. One. After she humiliates him, she then asks me does he have low self-esteem. Well, he does now since you just made an issue, out of a non-issue. After embarrassing my boy, Dr. Mir gives a diagnosis - without lab work and recommends surgery (she's not a surgeon by the way) because "kids can be mean" - No Dr. Mir, you're mean! My son has never had an issue nor has he ever been humiliated about his weight, neither by his peers or the medical community, until I made the terrible mistake of bringing him to Fox River Pediatrics. I strongly suggest you skip this office. Dr. Mir is incompassionate at best and has no qualms about humiliating 12 year old boys.

The office was clean and well maintained. They had a separate waiting room with a tv, toys and books to keep children busy. The doctor was in fast. She answered all our questions and was very kind. I will be transferring my other children here as well. Such a pleasant experience.

She is always responsive and available no matter the hour. She is the most well networked doctor I've ever met. My daughter needed to see a plastic surgeon for a birthmark removal and I had trouble getting an appointment. Dr. Weems called the surgeon directly and I had an appointment the next day. I have many more stories like this highlighting the ways she's saved us. Best investment and decision we've made! We only have the best things to say!

Weems has no privileges at suburban hospitals, and has no relationships with any specialist and no ability to get you in any sooner than if you cold called on your own. Most recently, she ghosted us when we asked for post-surgical pain meds for our 11 year-old who had a laceration so deep the tendons in her hand were visible. Ghosted! You can get equivalent or better care at an urgent care clinic from a non-doctor. without having to spend thousands per year for nothing. Not a "concierge" doctor at all, save your money.

Many times, we were unable to even see the nurse practitioner at Yorkville location for same day sick visits. The final straw for us was when we were prohibited from speaking with an actual doctor about a concern/complaint I had about a medication prescribed over the phone.
