This review is strictly about the bartender in the actual bar. Wow! I am not sure why she even works there, unless the theme is poor service and rude behavior. My husband and I were totally ignored while the bartender flirted with the men seated at the bar. When she finally decided to acknowledge us she was very abrupt. When she moved away to fill our order, I was having a private conversation with my husband. She turned around and yelled (from the other end of the bar) "What did you say?" . It was a pretty uncomfortable start to what was supposed to be a fun weekend. We always stay at this hotel when we come to town but we will definitely avoid this bar in the future. read more

I must qualify the. 4 stars I got the filet steak special. The waitress said the cook was young so do not expect too much. I like my steak cooked Pittsburg style. So I was not expecting much. When they brought my steak it was perfectly cooked!!!! Extremely flavorful and very tender. The salad and all the trimmings were 2 star at best. But this was the very best filet I have ever had. Can they do it again? I do not know. But that 1 time was GREAT! read more

Love it! Live music. Interesting people...except for the guy that waited outside the womens bathroom for my friend to come out. He said he was going to his room but when she didn't return from the bathroom we went to check on her...he had been waiting. Creepy. Moving on, good drinks. The live music is usually good but that mexican band that plays the music from the 80s and wears afro wigs, that needs to change. I enjoy listening to Happy Fat. He's good. Only con is that it gets too crowded sometimes. But its worth going any night of the week. read more

We had a good time Thursday night with the karaoke.I am from Abilene and when my friends asked me to go I was not excited about it, but I went for them. Our waitress, Sierra charged me for someone else's beer and 2 shots. When I told her I didn't order it she insisted that I pay for it because they put it on my tab. I told her I did not authorize it. She would not change it. I ordered 3 vodka waters and it had hardly any alcohol in it . They are rip off. I will never go back. I would not recommend this lounge to anyone. I guess you can go here and put your drinks on someone else's tab. They are so unprofessional. read more

Attempted to call ahead to pick up. No answer so My wife and I walked down to order with our 2 yr old and 9 month old. The hostess seamed irritated with us ordering. She also couldn't explain why no one answered the phone during our 3 attempts to call in an order. We ordered food and were told 30 minutes and it will be brought to us for a 20% charge. We were fine with that as it was getting close to dinner time. Over an hour later the food was delivered. I am giving 2 stars because the $33 for 2 patty melts and a kids chicken strips were actually decent for the grease trap in an old outdated motel. read more

Remingtons is the inhouse restaurant of MCM Elegante Suites. In the Abilene area the restaurant is often known as Elegantes. Do not be misled by the name, however. There is nothing elegant about this restaurant no matter whether you call it Remingtons or Elegantes. My wife and I recently had Sunday brunch there and found the experience disappointing. First of all, we were seated at a dirty table. The table service or lack of it continued to be a problem thoughout the meal as the service staff consistently failed to clear the table between courses and never refreshed our beverages. The quality of the food was mediocre. The roast beef was seriously overdone; the fried chicken tasted burned; the green beans appeared to be right out of a can; the dinner rolls were not fresh; and, lastly, the deserts seemed to be mostly variations of frozen pies that can be bought at the local supermarket. In summary, I will avoid Remingtons(Elegantes) in the future for there are numerous better dining alternatives in the Abilene area. read more

The two man guitar band had some pretty good vocal skills . They played everything from R&B to country, and made it there own. Gotta love creativity :)) Oh yeah.. The eggplant, zucchini, and spinach lasagna was also very delicious!!!! read more

Went here after refusing to be served at the Hilton Great American Grill because it wasn't yet 5 pm. Remingtons is inside the MCM Elegant Suites and is a great place for an intimate dinner. Despite being short staffed, the server was nice and brought us our drinks promptly before dinner. Try the delicious Southwestern egg rolls with special sauce! The ribeye steak was excellent; prepared just right at medium temperature. Good price for an elegant dinner! read more

Restaurant review (not bar): here for Valentine's day dinner and the service is so bad that people are walking out the door and we have had to get up and complain to the manager. The waitresses are sullen and slow. I have watched our appetizer sit on a rack by the wall for 15 minutes while the waitresses ignore it. I ordered wine 20 minutes ago and have not received anything. I've been here for the lunch buffet often and enjoyed it but that is self serve. This evening guarantees I'll never come back. Stay away unless it's lunch buffet or the bar! read more

Terrible service ! We went in on a Friday evening and the bartenders (2) ladies never even looked our way to serve us, they served the people at the bar only, they could have at least acknowledged that we were there, we left and won't be back. read more

We only come here for lunch buffets and they are fantastic. Salad bar is decent. I would choose this over Golden Corral any day. They also have pre planned menus that way you know what they've having on the buffet daily. Service is always excellent. read more
