He said the way to fix it was to knock a hole in the wall and replace the entire piping system to the tub. We refused and he left, saying that he would try to figure out what else he could do to fix it. My wife went to Lowe's and bought two new universal handles. We both installed the handles and they work great. Jim's Plumbing sent me a bill for $174 for nothing. It's pretty sad that a 78-year-old grandma could figure out how to fix it, and your plumber couldn't. Watch out for people who want to scam you into thinking you have to replace something for thousands of dollars, when it only cost you $13.

After installing the toilet, I noticed that the plumber left the existing dirty rusty escutcheon still on the wall. I had an older sink, and just wanted to refresh the faucet and piping underneath. The faucet didn't fit, and it left a gap, and the piping underneath made the new drain crooked and looked horrible!! The mixing valve was facing the inside of the shower instead of facing out for easy access last but not least, my showerhead went missing, they claimed it was never in the box, and I know my daughter would not have bought a showerhead kit without a showerhead.! Like I said, worst experience ever! PS it's my understanding. I was to be compensated for the poor customer service. I personally think this whole situation could have been avoided.
