From the beginning, Giovanni was very good about communicating the process he recommended based on the state of our siding and was responsive through the end of the project. Their team sanded and stained all of the cedar at a fair price. And unlike other companies, they didn't pressure me to get the cedar restained more frequently than needed. If I had one minor suggestion, it would be to ask the staff to be careful around my plants, but honestly I would rate the job 9.9/10. When the color didn't turn out how I expected, the owner wrote me a long explanation for why he used a particular stain and the issues with my old stain. I really appreciated the explanation and that his team did a more labor intensive process (sanding all of the cedar siding) than other quotes I received. Several months later, they also went out of their way to get back to me on the stain they used because I want to stain my gates the same color. When the time comes again to restain our cedar, I'll definitely be giving Giovanni and Richard a call. Their customer service is top notch!

The deck surface was very worn and in need of a refinishing and significant cleanup, and everything needed cleaning and re-staining (and we needed a few new boards on the deck which one of our dogs had chewed on as a puppy). I worked with Richard out at South Bay Wood Restoration and he was very kind and professional throughout. They ended up making a very competitive quote for us and were already very highly rated, so we selected them. His workers were very good. Strong communicators, very friendly, and easy to work with, and they did nice, neat work. At the end of it all, Richard wasn't satisfied that we had gotten quite dark enough on an accent stain for our pergola, and he sent his guys out at no charge to do another coat.
