Seems like it depends who you are and/or what time of year Remdal paints for you. Remdal did the interior of my employer's building as well as my apartment building. The work in my apartment building was abysmal and we will never have them back. About a year later, they painted our building at work and it was meticulous.
I noticed a huge difference in the painters themselves though - seemed like a young, marginally experienced/trained "summer crew" for our apartment building, who took many shortcuts (like painting around many electrical outlet covers rather than removing them), were very sloppy (like rolling paint over the entire plug for the few covers they did remove, and hitting the ceiling while rolling on the darker wall colour), and who lied about painting the upstairs ceilings.
We paid for all the ceilings to be done, even though only the first floor had water stains from old leaks. The upstairs painting was done FAR faster than downstairs, despite being the exact same shape and size, because only the walls were done. When we complained to the off-site supervisor, his crew assured him they did do the ceilings and couldn't explain why, unlike downstairs, not one person saw them painting any of the upstairs ceilings. He chose to believe his crew and, as a result, we were never compensated and those ceilings still look old.
At work, the painters were far older and far more professional. I marveled at how careful and perfect their work was before I realized they were Remdal painters. I'm assuming that job was higher profile for the company and they wanted to make a solid impression so they'll be used again.
I guess apartment buildings are a dime a dozen so who cares if a few are dissatisfied? We're not willing to risk another terrible job and I would recommend that you stay away from them too. read more
