Hello Everyone.My name is Andrea and im sticking my two bits worth about Mark Boyd and Remarkable into this group and my dealing with him..may as well seeing as Mark Boyd has already wrongly accused me of writting a letter to him and sent a copy to his mother for which i will publicly now use this site to say I DID NOT SEND NO LETTER and you can go show or talk to your solicitor all you want Mark because your threats to me this week do not bother or worry me one bit in the slightest and at the end of the day you will not bully or harrass me into silence because for as long as i breathe and live i shall speak the truth and have no shame in sharing my recent dealings with you to everyone and anyone. I would definately pass any lie detecter test..the thing is Mark we all know that you would fail!!!!!!! I'm fully aware that Mark and his friends are on this group too and reading every post that someone makes.heres another one for yous to digest! Some reading this will sayohh i know her, some of you have never met and some have recently met me but we all share common factors here and that is Mark borrowing lump sums of money from his friends, clients, employees, suppliers, buisness people he is acquainted with, with a promise from him to repay back the money and he very rarely does. Yes he has paid some people back but its a case of if you squeeze or blackmail him or even threaten him he does pay up. Majority of people he hasnt repaid a penny too:( The other factor is Mark letting down brides/grooms on their big wedding day and not delievering through with promises of how flowers/displays/arrangements etc etc will be and as prediscussed with him. Many stories are similar on this site but we each have our unique story to tell and here is mine.. I have known Mark and his family since i went to same primary school and grew up in the same estate as him and had mutal friends too through local churches and organisations. Over the years a friendship between the 2 families were formed and both our mums even worked together and very good friendship had formed. Ive sat at Mark's beside in hospital when he was recovering from illness a few years ago. You get the drift.Mark was my flowerist for my own wedding in 2008. Now i can not fault at all the service he gave to me and my husband and family in leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. Yes i was a fussy attention to detail bride/groom but we just wanted it all perfect/looking wooh factor and yes all the flowers were gorgoeus and everything perfect and i/we were so happy and proud of his work and to also recommend him to friends (which i did do). My friend got married in the same year as me, near same time as me infact.. she too used Mark because she knew him, she grew up with him and lived in same area/same school.. and after her wedding we were talking and she told me about how disappointed she was with Mark and the problems that she occurred along the way. Now i was suprised at the time to hear this and it always stuck in my mind 'why' ? Naturally when my brother was getting married the family went to Mark to book him. 2 weeks before the wedding Mark approached my father for the loan of money to help tide him over was the excuse mark gave and how he had a cheque going into his bank account and waiting for it be cleared and how he would repay in 2 days. My father said yes and lent him the money in good faith and believed that he would be repaid in 2 days. Like every other family out there in a time leading up to a wedding there is spare money set aside to be used for the big day and on the big day. Money which has been earned, saved up and all accounted for too. Something which Mark and his line of business would know only too well too.This next lot of info is relevant to know as it builds a bigger picture as Mark has ongoing form for preying on the older generation,of a vunerable nature, ill-health and geniune good natured trusting folk folk that he knows would find it hard to say no to him and makes them believe that they are geniunely helping him out in a time of need. My father has been of ill health over recent years, which includes heart problems and in recent months leading up to the wedding of his son he hadnt been well and was under hospital care and gp care. All of which Mark was fully aware of. Mark didnt keep his promise and repay after 2days. He told lies after lies and had the nerve to ask for more money and bombarded my father with texts and phonecalls morning noon and night.even as late as bedtime. Dad didnt give him no more money and was trying to get back the money he already loaned meanwhile my father was ill with worry, stressed to the hilt and was so agiated too and this was having effect on his chest/heart. Hi Everyone..well my name says it all..i knew mark from the age of 5, grow up with him and his family, and lived a stones throw from his house where he lived with his mum and sister. Over the years both families formed great friendship and there for each other. His mother, my mother had a very good friendship and worked together for many years.sadly because of Mark that friendship has recently stopped, his mother has cut herself off from my mother and us without a word or explanation. We strongly belive that she knows fine well what her son has been getting up to and she cant face us for the shame he obviously has brought upon her and the family. Except himself as he shows no shame or remorse or guilt at all!!! From day one of Mark opening up the business we always used his services for flowers for whatever the occasion or reason be. We always were very happy/satisfied. I was married in August 2008, Mark did an excellant outstanding job of my wedding flowers, my husband and I could not have faulted anything about the service that was gave to us, the attention to detail and the suggestions too that Mark made to us which looked fab at out whole wedding and reception. Even my trial flowers were amazing and all my photos prove that i aint just bragging about my own wedding!! Sadly.Mark has in recent months broken the hand of friendship and trust and showing his true colours to us. We heard rumors about him back in July, and didnt believe them. Yip hands up we were wrong as time went on to tell and prove. He was booked for another family wedding of ours and we had no reasoon to doubt him or think 'hang on here why are folking talking so negative of him within our own community'.then leading up to the wedding, he was cancelling appointments left right and centre, lame excuses were coming from himhe ignored our phone calls. All totally out of charactor for the Mark we knew. a few weeks before the wedding happened, he took it upon himself to approach a family member who might i add was of ill health and has ongoing health/heart conditions and asked for moneya very large amount of money and gave plenty of reasons why he was asking and what he was expecting to receive in payments in the following days.promising to repay the money to us within 2 days. He also wanted it kept a secret and not shared among the rest of family/friends. Mark was believed and helping him was us doing him a favour (we were unaware of Qype at this stage either might i add) and he got the money he asked for. 2 days passed and no money from him, he texted loads and had the nerve to ask for more money from us, some texts were even in a threaten manner from him by which stage totally digusted and angered us. he kept saying he was on his way with the money but never showed. this went on for 2 weeks!!! during which time he did bombard with texts and phonecalls and voice messagesbegging for more money and contining to lie about repaying the money he already owed. At this point being so close to the wedding and he knowing full well that monies were needed for he still didnt pay up. Now the strain that Mark put upon the good samartian had made this person more ill and under a lot of stress, to the point of breaking down and admitting the predictament that Mark Boyd had him. As soon as i learnt of this, i was livid and rang mark to confront him with all the facts i knew and trust me i didnt miss him with a trick. of course he happened to be on his way with money, ha hai told him he had 30mins to arrive at agreed meeting place with all the cash otherwise i was taking this matter further. He arrived and was his usual nice nicey self/sun shines outa his ass attitude and thought he could win me over with his charm.no chance.i was one step away from ringing 999 for psni and ambulance! He made excuses after excuses to me, he handed the money over and even expected his usual hig n kiss from me! i took the money and left him!! Yes we had a lucky escape and got repaid but it was the whole 2 weeks of sheer hell he put us through. As for the wedding.well that was a total balls up and not as the bride n groom had ordered and another story to tell!! my own order was the total oppoiste of what i had requested!! my arrangement was dead come 4pm that same day!! The bride arriving at the church and had a tear in her eye as she walks down the ailse for all the wrong reasons (as we learnt after the wedding all the faults with the flowers/arrangements/extra details).it was marks fault!! but the bride being upstanding did not on the day make it known the faults that were all around us. hello everyone i believe my name says it all about who i am! i have thought long and hard about coming on here for a while now and i have decided it is the right thing to do. untill recently i worked for mr boyd as his driver, i went into working for him with my eyes open ,i had been warned by several people not to loan him money or let the amount of wages i was owed build up to much. this i did but even this did'nt work. i was forever chasing him for monies owed. until recently i thought he was just a bussiness man cutting a few corners, i was made aware of this site and mr boyd made reference to it a few times but i never bothered looking at it untill very recently. needless to say i immediatly decided to cease working for mr boyd. reading through on here a lot of things began to click into place . having deciding to leave mr boyds employ you guessed it i was owed money by him, bet that sounds familiar lol. fortunately for me i kept a note book of work i did and other stuff so i had proof if need be . how did i get my money back you ask, quiet simple i told mr boyd if i wasnt paid wages due i would come on here and tell all, also that i have a relative who is a reporter whom i would be making a call to. mr boyds response to this was to threaten me saying he would get a solicitor onto the case . unfortunatly i'm not an idiot and told him unless anything i said was untrue any solicitor with half a brain would tell him i could not be sued .SO PLEASE READ ON WITH THAT IN MIND EVERY WORD IS THE TRUTH!!!!!!!! lets start with numbers of weddings a day mr boyd rarely has just 1 wedding on any given day . the vast majority of days i worked for him he had 2, on many occassions he has 3. if it was at all possible i'm sure he would do more. flowers from tesco's all true virtually ever day i worked on a wedding i was a regular visitor to tesco/asda/ and the luckiest brides got marks and spencers. as for ivy well if you had that hedgerows on route to your church, church grounds hotel grounds where ever he could get it for free! also those of you who were married around easter and wanted some daffodils , belmont linear park car park near the entrance to garnerville rd. please send a big thank you to belfast city councilparks dept. he asked me to pinch them for him but i made excuses but later witnessed him removing them myself as i drove past. are'nt belfast city council glad his shop/home are no where near lady dixon park, the international rose festival would be a poor affair eeh?? staff pay ? all staff have to chase mr boyd for money owed, that includes suppliers as well. one comment from a bride about her wedding day being a shambles and her reception venue not being dressed by mr boyd and that the table linen and chair covers sitting in the suppliers van untill a taxi arrived with the money she was owed . guess who folks?? thats right urs truely . this reveiw is 100% spot on i remember that day very well mr boyd never went with in 10 miles of the reception venue, the only thing that left mr boyds shop on that day was me with £450 rolled up in my pocket for the supplier. on the subject of suppliers mr boyd goes through them at a rate of knots , can you guess why?? your getting good at this arent you , thats right he fails to pay them then when they demand cash up front they are never seen again and a new one comes on the scene. his latest is owed a large amount . i've read some accounts on here that he has run out of people willing to supply him and that this is the reason behind his departure from the wedding scene my oppinion is that that is very likely the reason. next telling lies , yep mr boyd is a prolific lie teller, though he is very bad at it!!! i was lied to constantly by him about why he couldnt pay me . he also lied repeatedly to others in front of me on the phone and in person. an example i hear you ask? ok. during one wedding i was told that the brides flowers had to be delivered to her home at 10 am. 10.30 am phone rings mr boyd tells bride that her flowers had left and driver had phoned to say he was stuck in trafic. how do i know this i hear you ask? i was standing right next to him in his shop!!! he was in fact still trying to get them ready. i left 10 mins later and arrived at the brides after 11am to be met by 2 very pissed off wedding car drivers 1 photographer and a group of bemused family and yes 1 very annoyed mother of the bride. they had been hangin around ready for over an hour. who does the work on your flowers. simple liz does most of the work . though mr boyd regularly takes all the credit. the whole time i worked there liz done the bulk of the arrangements and mr boyd did the brides flowers . then he would turn to liz and ask if they were ok, pupil seeking the teachers approval. then liz would also do the bulk of the table centres as well. those of you who did not get as you had ordered ,liz was working to mr boyds instrutions there were never any written down orders , god knows read more

Having read through everyone's reviews, I felt like I had to come and leave my own. I married last year on August 6th. I was super super organised. I wanted (as any bride would) everything to be perfect! On my first meeting with Mark we thought he was absolutely lovely He made us feel great and excited about the flowers, saying honestly Jules, you've nothing to worry about, your flowers will look stunning. I am the type of person who will trust anyone and always try to see the good in them Even when our appointments had been cancelled for the 8th time I still thought he was genuine but he can talk the talk and tell you what you want to hear I thought it best to list out the problems we had with Mark Appointments constantly cancelled, three of these appointment are when we were actually sitting outside the shop at the arranged time. each appointment I had to remind Mark that my dress was white and not ivory pretty frustrating. When I asked Mark did he ever take on two weddings in one day he replied No. I didn't want limited time spent on my flowers (or anything lol) so I was very happy with this On the Wedding day however, this was not the case. Mark had two weddings and the quality suddenly dropped. During our first appointment we got a price for EVERYTHING and thought it was so good which is why we went ahead with it A week before the wedding mark called to say I needed to drop £50 round for the two Mum's bouquets I was confused as we had listed these from the beginning but thought I'd made the mistake (me being too trusting again). The bouquets were awful Only when I mentioned to my mum how disappointed I was with them, did she tell me she had thrown half of them away as they were rotting and the colours didn't even tone together. (for £25 each I could have bought bunches 4 times the size from Tesco). During our final appointment my husband and I wrote cards to our Mums with (obviously) heart felt thank-you messages We never seen them again. On the morning Mark was settling up the flowers at approx 12.40 I was getting married at 1pm Meaning guests had arrived to a flower-less church This actually made me angry when I found out the following day because I wanted impact for the guests :-(. My husband, Aaron, also had pictures taken without the flowers at the entrance doors. I had told Mark I would like big bunches of Hydrangea on every other pew We had one stem of flowers on every 5th pew! I had asked for 3 pillar candles in the two front of church uprights. There were none to be seen. Aaron's button holes and corsage for his Mum arrived in a Taxi! Pins not magnets as arranged and a different colour than what was arranged. Aaron had arranged for a surprise bouquet to be delivered to me the morning of the Wedding It never arrived, and we never received it I was honestly gutted because I had thought Aaron had not planned anything for me (though the next day he bought me a huge bunch from 'Anitia's Fabulous Flowers' HIGHLY recommended) My auntie had made our Wedding cake which Mark was to decorate with flowers He never bothered. Our tables centrepieces were candelabras, we had arranged oasis rings for around the top of these. My Mum and I actually went for an appointment for these to see how they would look His in shop 'sample' looked stunning Roses, Freesia, Ivy's etc. On the day the rings were at the base of the candelabra with fern and hydrangea. Nothing Absolutely nothing like what he has shown us. My bouquet was meant to be bigger than my bridesmaids They were all the same size. We had arranged flowers for the vestibule in Church Again we didn't receive this. The spiral trees that we had for the front doors remained in the church building for three months after our Wedding Never collected! Mark also said he would use the hydrangea from the Church to make an arrangement for the ladies bathroom Not done. To be honest when I think of a few of the little things I wonder if I'm being picky but your Wedding day is the biggest day of your life and for Mark to have reassured me so much about how brilliant our flowers would be they were Truly the only thing that let me down on the day. My bouquets were perfect (minus the size issue) and the church flowers were lovely But when so much wasn't how I had wanted it, and arranged it to be you feel let down. I honestly feel that Mark has a wonderful talent with flowers, but as you can see from the reviews on here, his work is very polar. You'll either love it or you'll hate it, either he'll turn up and go all out for you, or he might not turn up at all. The price is good, but not for the hassle and stress on YOUR WEDDING DAY! I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere and for that extra £200, having peace of mind that everything is how you imagined and planned it to be. the truth about remarkable flowers aka mark boyd!! i've read the reviews on this page and yes i can vouch for the negative reviews as i personally have been on the receiving end of mark's dealings very recently but i will also confirm the 'good service' that remarkable 'did' offer, i too had brillant flowers for my own wedding and could not fault a thing that mark did for us. but over recent years that has been very few and far between. if you did receive good service recently from him then you were lucky to get mark at his best which is 'attention to detail' 'perfect flowers and accessories'. howerver he has seemed to have got himself into diffs big time and hasnt the decency to come clean and admitt that he is running his business into the ground, admitt defeat, admitt failure as a businessman, seek help and guidance to undo the wrong hes doing. and for a man who calls himself and is known as a 'good christian man' ..well he sure isnt living the faith and abidng by the commandments!!! he is a shame to christianity and the folk who stand beside him in church are unaware of the 'thief' among them as he truely is a daylight dick turpin!! among the many other names i know folk are already calling him. if you have your wedding flowers booked with him a note of caution as apparently next year 2013 he is not doing weddings anymore and is going to be working within events/flowers. this is the current 'true' facts on remarkable/mark boyd. mark boyd has already been declared bankrupt and was in the belfast telegraph listings. he is currently up to his neck in debt. he is already being taken through the small claims court by a customer. he is borrowing cash/money off everyone and anyone he knows. this includes family and nearest dearest friends.starts off with small amounts to then begging for more higher amounts and turning into a pest by constant pressuring you asking for more money, promises to repay in a few days but weeks later yours till chasing him! majority of these folk have not been repaid and the few that have been repaid had to really chase him up and they have seen him in the true colours and another side to him that is a 2 faced liar, chancer he is. he has preyed on the ill and vunerable and has caused stress to people due to the pressure he has inflicted on them-this is to folk who know him very well and are gutted angry at how he has treated them never mind folk who have just met him. he is asking new clients for cash deposits up front for weddings that are anything up to 2 years away! he is a 2 faced lair and the excuses he makes up range from family deaths/family illness/to his own healthall of these are lies! dont think he knows what it is to speak the truth lately. he currently lives in ballybeen with his mother. cars.somtimes he is borrowing other folks cars to use, or driving different cars he himself has bought or he uses the services of a taximan who is also employed as his driver. when you meet mark for the first time he will talk the talk and have won over your total trust in him and believing every word that he says how perfect your flowers will be.the fact he is so easy on the eye and flattery rolls off his tongue and he makes you feel good and has you laughing and joking in his company..his ideas sound great and romantic and he truely plants the seed and you cant wait to see the end result. as time goes on he will cancell appointments that have been set up and he comes up with many lies as to why he cant meet you. he will make more demands for money from you. he simply doesent answer his phone or reply to text messages. when you do pin him down hes all apologises and hugs and smiles and as if the sun shines outa his asshole! day of your wedding.the chances of what he provides wont be of the standard he promised you and you have paid for. or you could be the unfortunate one who has no flowers/arrangements as has happened to one bride in recent times. or the bride who walked up the aisle with tear in her eye for all the wrong reasons and so disappointed/angry at her flowers so far, not knowing what lay ahead of her for the reception/venue. dont be like either of these 2 brides!! my advice.go to trading standards and report him. go to the newspapers/media and expose him for his wrong doings and business shannigans. money he is receiving and not declaringsure there are few departments out there who'd like to learn more about this;) this guy is raking in monies left right and centre, chasing his own tail and giving folk the round aroundand not providing a service that he has guaranteed you. i do hope that sharing this information wil be of some help to you all. read more

Firstly, I want to say that Mark from Remarkable flowers made my wedding flowers stunning, absolutely amazing. With a budget of £300 he made it look like id spent ££££££££'s!!! All my guests commented on my bouquets, church arrangements, and the room at the hotel which he had dressed with chair covers, backdrop etc. I couldnt fault his work it was PERFECT!!!!!! When I first met Mark he was very warm and appeared to be interested in providing a good service. He also took time to interact with my little girl and not just trying to get my money!!! We told him what we wanted, and he asked what we thought that should cost and we replied approx £1,000. In fact he told us if we paid in cash the total would be £300. Which was amazing, considering some florists tried to charge me £800 for floweres alone. I would also like to mention, Mark NEVER asked for an additional penny from us, he told us once we paid £300 money wouldnt be mentioned again. I will admit Mark did make a lot cancellations, a few at very short notice. This was annoying considering I am a nurse and had to arrange childminders etc. However, he did always have good excuses, which to date I dont know whether they were excuses or indeed the truth. From reading reviews on this site, I had a lot of sleepless nights worrying that my special day was going to be ruined, as Mark was invoved in so many different aspects of the day. I did raise my concerns with him, in fact I went to the shop where he offered me a full refund and told me if I wasnt happy with his service then he would happily give me my money back. He also rang me on several occasions where we discussed my concerns and he promised me that if I let him do the flowers etc then they would be amazing. After careful consideration, I decided to go with him as I believed what he was saying was true. To be honest my concerns were from reading these reviews. He never ever gave me an impression that he was just out to get my money and not deliver an amazing service. On the occasions where we met with him he was always very keen to listen to what I wanted and made me feel like I was a special bride, and not just another customer. I was always offered tea and coffee and made extremely welcome in his shop. Also he always talked about going to our church as he wanted to ensure the church arrangement was perfect. Mark made me two seperate sample bouquets based on what I told him I wanted. These were both stunning and it was apparent he paid great attention to deatil. In the week leading up to my wedding Mark took ill and was in hospital. Bearing this in mind, he phoned me every day (sometimes more than once) to keep me updated on final details. For example he rang me when he went to church, of which he arrangeed this himself with our Minister. He rang me the day before to go over final final details inlcuding times the flowers wld be delivered etc. On the morning of the wedding I was nervous I will admit that. But Mark did arrive on time and I can honestly say my bouquet took my breath away it was absolutely stunning. In fact one of my guests thought it was fake, as it looked that good. The church arrangements looked stunning. He even made extra floral arrangements for the windows of the church as an added extra. I thought this was very kind of him considering hed only seen the church two days prior to the wedding. Mark delivered the church arrangements to the hotel and worked with his team to dress my room with chairs covers backdrop etc. The room was breathtaking. In fact my dad told me hed never seen anything so wonderful, even all the guests gave nothing but positive comments. I am an honest person. Please if you value your sanity avoid Remarkable Flowers aka Mark Boyd at all costs. My little heart actually breaks at the thought of him ripping off all the innocent brides to be. This review could go on for pages about how truly awful he is. Mark was recommended by my mums friend. However after her wedding she said she really wished that she did not recommend him to us. She said he was a nightmare. I got married in July and although nothing could have ruined our amazing wedding day he caused us so much stress and unhappiness. I will explain When you first meet Mark he promises you the world with your flowers. He has great ideas and pretends to listen to what you want. You will notice though that he NEVER writes what you want. I bought pictures of flowers to show Mark and he did not even look at them. He can definately talk the talk. Mark cancelled 9 appointments with me in total. One time I was actually standing outside his shop waiting on him. He has numerous stories for these cancellations. He once told me his mum was in hospital and I bought him a card and chocolates as a token of kindness. I now doubt that this story was even true. He has 2 phones and never answers his work phone to you when you need to discuss something with him. If he ever phones you it's always from a witheld number. The evening before my wedding Mark phoned me but I missed his call. He left a voicemail talking about my table centre pieces which were not the centre pieces I had asked for. THE EVENING BEFORE MY WEDDING!!!!!!! I was frantic as we had agreed on all the arrangements. I tried calling him but of course he didn't answer. I left several voicemails and even made my mum leave him a voicemail. I had given a list of all the flowers I expected on the day of my wedding to Mark as he never wrote down what I wanted. This man thought so little of me and my mum that he obviously didn't even bother to read the list. I spent the night before my wedding feeling very stressed and wondering if the flowers would even be delivered. I hated feeling stressed instead of being able to enjoy that special time with my mum and bridesmaids. I will never forgive Mark for ruining that special night for me. On the day of the wedding I woke up feeling excited to be marrying the best person in my life but I also felt the stress wondering if I would have any flowers. Mark phoned trying to laugh off that he got the table centre pieces wrong. The bouquets arrived and were beautiful. The flowers for my hair were not what I had requested. The mums bracelets/corsages kept falling off and looked cheap. The mens buttonholes were not magnetised as requested. At the venue there were flowers missing. The worst thing for me though was the mums thank you bouquets. Mark met my mum at every single appointment. He knows how much my mum loves flowers. And he bought the 3 thank you bouquets from Tescos. It was so obvious they were shop bought and not hand made. I was so embarassed giving them to the mums. Mark promised my lovely wee mum that all the flowers would be perfect and they were not. Mark looked my lovely mum in the eye and told her bare faced lies. I will never ever forgive him for letting my mum down. Although the flowers we did get were beautiful they were dying by the end of the night. More than a few people commented on this. I believe that Mark wants to be a great florist and sometimes is for the people who had a great experience with him, however he has no organisational skills and is constantly letting people down. UPDATES ON REMARKABLE/MARK BOYD Since last week i have been approached by more folk regarding Mark's dirty dealings. Geniune hard working folk who in good faith tried to help out Mark with his fiancial diffs by lending him money after they had listened to his yarns, thinking they were helping a friend in need out..totally unware of the true nature of his wrong doings and the situation he himself has got himself into. This is nothing to do with his recent bout of ill health and operation he had gone through, which may i add he is fully recovered from and up on his feet again and back working and still avoiding paying up those he owes and fobbing folk off with his lies and yarns!!!! He has lost one member of staff who has joined the rest of the us and is owed money for wages that Mark never paid. This person never knew of the financial problems but had heard rumors and after reading reviews and talking also to a few clients who had stopped to ask when might the shop be open again or how i can in touch with mark boyd. Remaining staff members are owed money also from unpaid wages and loans that they too lent to Mark in good faith and promises of being repaid but he hasnt. Soto add to this ever growing number of folk out of pocket to Mark Boyd we also have an elderly oap lady has remortaged her home and gave the money to Mark to help him out! a close long term friend of his has lent him mega X amount of grands to help him out a country businessman, location being withheld at this point in time, is out many many grands of money another male buisnessman and friend is out over 40grand so far.. a CHURCH has thrown Mark out of its congretation after he was caught stealing from the church funds! a wedding supplier on the cregagh rd is owed over 2grand for services used at weddings via remarkable which mark hasnt paid the work for.. other clients ask for cash up front from him or they wont supply the goods. some hotels have even banned him from working within their premises as they are in an dated with unhappy brides who have complained about Remarkable. he currently is disqualified from driving and has no driving licence nor has car insurance but yet still continues to drives ..car belonging to friends who have loaned him the use of their car thinking they have helped him out and they non wiser of his motoring offences and fact that he is due back in court very soon for numerous motoring offences dating back to this time last year!! his gf has been stopped by psni regarding her car and about mark driving it. now would you like to be caught up in an rta with the likes of him the guilty party for crashing into ya.no way!! your the one that be out of your pennies and he defo wont be repaying you! numerous banks he is dealing with and loan sharks and loan shopsnot always obtaining money under his own name either..he has friends doing his dirty work for him and then of course.no money to repay the likes of and so the vivious circle goes on and on and on.. as i say each day brings to light more about him and his dealings. but it still doesnt stop him form doing what he is doing tho he is rumbled about the latest happenings and the protest outside the shop he was not amused about (ha ha ha) I shall continue on with posting reviews and sharing with you all. and hope that in some way it will help those of you who are chasing him for your money and let you see that theres more to mark boyd than meets the eye Laters.. Please do not put yourself through the stress of ordering flowers from MARK BOYD he is a very manipulative man that comes across charming. He is a compulsive liar he is a money grabber he is a con artist he constantly cancels appointments he is in lots of debt and he is conning innocent people into paying him £500 for All Your wedding flowers and he will deliver only £30 worth of flowers on your big day actually he is such a coward he will send them in a taxi this man told my wife he wanted a 200 deposit and the rest to be paid a week before the wedding this was not the case this man stalked my wife to get all the money of us 1 week after we booked and paid our deposit 1 year before our wedding!!!!! He even phoned my workplace so we went and paid him the remaining 300 to get him off our backs but my wife had a feeling about him and decided she did not want to use this man for our wedding things he had said telling lies and presurizing us into handing money over after our deposit was paid so my wife text him to explain in a polite manner and asked if we could have our money back as he never answered phonecalls he said yes it wouldnt be a problem he would have a refund issued within 1 week as he needed to run it past his accounts team which doesnt actually exsist anyway it took 2 months of constantly reminding him that he owed us money that we finally got it in 3 installments as this man is bankrupt he had my wife in tears crying her eyes out she was very stressed by his behaviour as he was shouting abuse ect to her down the phone he also made an appointment to come down to collect our refund and when we sat on the otherside of the road 10 mins before the arranges time he text my wife saying sorry cant make today can we meet next week as i am at the graveyard and we were sittong watching him in his shop this man is a joke and the minimal good reveiws on here are probably from mark himself trying to counteract the bad ones so mark if you are reading this u r a scumbag and karma will catch up on you everyone knows you are struggling with debt so go see citizens advice and get a bankruptcy granted and stop theiving inocent peoples money i think you also need to see a doctor/shrink as you seem to have many different personalities. Hi i booked Mark from Remarkable flowers for my wedding i also seen the negative comments and was worried alot i went over to speak to him about this to hear what he had to say, to cut a long story short he told me if i wasn't 100% happy with him then i shouldn't get him to do the work.. And offered me a refund, which was direct & honest of him, it was a few weeks before my wedding this happened and I decided to stayed with him where was i gonna get a florist so late on and for a price of £300 for the whole package the chances where slim.. I admit I was still alittle worried what i was going to find on my wedding day as the stories seemed to be getting worse, but the morning of my wedding when the flowers where delivered i was more than pleased with them, i found the bridemaids flowers excataly what i'd asked for handties with black & white ribbion up the stems and a peral in the centre of each lillie.. They were breath taking, mines was even nicer with all the sparkle and glam i had wanted!! He even sent over a small satain bag with black ribbions at each side and flower petals in it for the flower girl, the button holes which was as asked for white roses even the very pin had a pearl top very nice detail indeed I recieved 15 button holes in total, the flowers for the chapel were big & beautiful, i got the bay trees i had asked for and the pew's inside the chapel also As for the reception each centre piece was beautiful i had tall vases with the ice effect filled with orchids, i had theses on each table and there was 15 in total, he done all the little extras like the tea-lights, scattered crystals etc the top table display was also wonderful not skimpy what.so.ever. Me and my husband went into veiw the room before our guests & to my horror i was disappointed with my cake for the price i paid it was tiny and not what was expected.. Mark came to my rescue and asked the staff to get a larger base cake stand, so the cake looked bigger than it was, he decorated it with orchids and placed a few tealights round it.. He had no reason to do this but he did and i was greatful. He then surpised me by sayin i could keep the vases my centre pieces was in, he stated it was nice for the guest to be able to go home with something.. I cannot fault this man yes sometimes he may be hard to reach but he has a life outside of work also, sometimes we forget that!! And look at the package i got for £300 where would you find that. I got married on Monday and I had to write this as the reviews on here do not reflect at all the service I received from Remarkable Flowers. I had numerous consultations with Mark in his studio always taking on board what I wanted and used that in his creations. He has a fantastic eye for colour and detail and delivered breathtaking flowers for my big day. Everyone was wowed by his flowers and blown away by the room decorations. But what made my wedding was Mark himself. The hotel was supposed to have set up the room the night before with the chairs and aisle runner I arrived at the hotel Mark was waiting for me and we went into the room together and low and behold the room wasn't made up. I panicked but Mark just simply asked what way did I want the rows and told me to go get a drink he then proceeded to set out 110 chairs and dressed them. He was a legend. He calmed me down made sure I was calm and when he finished he brought me in and made sure I was happy with everything then told me what time to expect him the next day. True to his word he was back with bouquets and button holes and pedestals brought my bridesmaids down to check the room in its full glory before the ceremony and it made my sister cry it was that beautiful. Then he simply waited till after the cremony and turned the room around so it was set up for the dinner and again didn't leave until it was checked and approved. I simply could not have asked for anything more from Mark he went above the call of duty and he made my dream come true. He is very cheap compared to other quotes I got and normally you get what you pay for but i got five star service and five star flowers for 2 star prices! Some people on here were complaining about not getting in touch with him or meetings being cancelled he is a busy man and to be fair you really dont need to meet your florist that much and other florist you book you only see your bouquet on the day of the wedding so chill out he is amazing and will deliver. Update...Mark Boyd aka Remarkable got a dose of karma with his cancer diagnosis and living with cancer as there was no cure for him haha... suffering with other health conditions too cause of the cancer treatments and ending his days in hospital before he died!! Struggled to breathe hahaha oxygen wasn't touching it at all Yeah he's dead!! Thank God.. no more people will be ripped off by him, no more of him preying on the vulnerable the elderly the lonely and taking their life savings off them, no more him worming his way into peoples lives and making out he is there friend and takes control of every aspect of their life and pushes out people's own families and alienating them from their family and friends. No more of him calling himself Andrew and pretending he's a nephew. Thank God the dementia woman he was targeting he didn't succeed as her family truely stepped up. He got away with so so much over all the years of his stealing from people, stealing from churches he joined, stealing people personal belonging jwellerys homes life savings, businesses he didn't pay up to and all the bills he owed, money borrowed off people he never repaid back!! One couple in east people out a tune of over £300,000 plus a house of £170,000! Where is all the monies now?? What did he do with all the monies over the years?? Where's the cremated ashes of the couple he had cremated and never would tell their families the truth or fact he did what he did behind everyone's back!!! He took his answers to grave! He should been cremated to burn in hell cause he was no good Christian man who's deserves to be in heaven. He was a conman thro and thro in many ways. Wonder who really will miss him out of their lives now lol?? He can't mentally coceverice behaviour no more onto others. He never once saw he was doing g any wrong in what he was doing what he. Denial eh. Well a lot of us are very happy he's dead and gone. Glad he suffered in pain too as he deserved it after all the pain and stress and upset he caused to many of us!!! read more

I got married last month (May 2012) and Mark was recommended to me by a friend, who had no issues with him, for her wedding in 2010. As with most people on this review site, I also had numerous let downs during the run up to the wedding and at the last minute. When I booked him, we had a meeting and I was more than happy with what he was offering. A few weeks before the wedding, I read these bad reviews but by that stage it was too late to cancel. Following numerous let downs/cancellations of appointments, on the week of the wedding I met with Mark to discuss everything. I was happy enough and arranged to meet him at my church the night before the wedding. He eventually turned up, over an hour late and totally stressed me out AGAIN! On my actual Wedding Day Mark did not deliver what we agreed. He turned up to the church 10 minutes before I was due to arrive, after many guests had already started to arrive (at 12.50 and my wedding was at 1pm)!! No bay trees were at the front of the church. In addition, he was supposed to fill-out my pedestals, pulpit arrangement, pew ends & window displays that had been left at the church the night before. My Aunt was extremely frustrated with him and when she spoke to him, he made up all the excuses of the day. He did NOT provide any pew ends or pulpit arrangement. The window displays were rubbish (a candle with green foliage beside it not what had been arranged) and the pedestals were not filled out. My bouquet & the bridesmaids were fine. The men's button holes were not great, the groom's was not what was arranged and the table centres were not what we had discussed either. Mark promised my Aunt that I would get a refund, but despite ringing and texting him, I am still awaiting a reply. All in all, Mark was a let down. He completely stressed me out when I didn't need it and ultimately he didn't deliver on the day. I would not recommend him. read more

I just happened by chance to discover Remarkable Flowers on the Holywood Road and I am so very sorry I had not seen these reviews before I made contact with him. As a surprise for my future wife, I was dealing with the organisation of all the flowers for our wedding and everything else so all she had to do was concentrate on buying her dress as she is Spanish but wanted our wedding here in Northern Ireland. I went and discussed everything with Mark and he was ever so charming and came across as a true professional who almost knew what I was thinking. Needless to say, I was taken in and I paid a very hefty deposit to cover his work and the buying of the flowers at his end so that there would be absolutely no hiccups what so ever. I wanted the day and flowers to be perfect. For the church, I had ordered Bay Trees with ribbons and flowers for the entrance. And the aisle and altar to be done with flowers, ribbons and ivy on every other seat going up the aisle to make it extra special. What we got was completely different and was a complete disaster and is something I do not want to really explain and there were just so many things wrong, never mind the complete wrong colour scheme. I telephoned him but got no answer and he has not responded to my many calls to at least offer an explanation. I feel that I have been honestly robbed and taken for a fool. At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask. If there was an option on here to leave no stars, I would do it. Suffice to say, I would not touch this florist with a bargepole and even then I would hate to waste a good bargepole. I seem to be one of the ever growing list of unhappy customers of Mark.I was married in 2008 Mark was recommended to me by a work friend,while her daughter had been happy with his service she did tell me he once phoned her work place to hassle her to pay her remaining balance. This didn't put me off to much as i figured as long as i paid on time it would be no big drama.When i first walked into Marks shop i realized i knew him as we lived in the same area,this seemed to make my mind up" better the devil you know" he told me all i wanted to hear very convincing,i told him what i wanted all white bouquet with lots of bling ,i got white lilies with lots of green foliage and 3 diamonds bridesmaids flowers were tiny,flower girls had their promised heart shaped baskets with NO flowers ,Mark promised my table settings would be out of this world so modern what i got was a vase filled with water and 2 or 3 flower heads floating on top, now im no florist but 1 bridal bouquet 3 tiny bridesmaids bouquets 6 button holes and 2 or 3 flower heads on my tables £50 worth maybe i paid close to £400 ,i never got my sample meeting he made his usual excuses so on the day it was way too late to complain,the only slight revenge i got was giving away his vases to my guests not that it was anything to gloat over they were very cheap anyway poundstretchers were selling them.Also he made sure he got his full payment way before my wedding,during this time he also asked my hubby to come and work for him as his driver but for months fobbed him off with every excuse he could make,this was after telling him how much he would earn and how he would let him work around our kids school times etc,as always with Mark everything was too good to be true like all his promises. read more

My son and daughter in law got married last May and this man was recommended to them by a work colleague. My daughter in law has just told me tonight that there was supposed to be an exposé on the Nolan show last week and she also showed me this site. I went to all of the meetings with her to the shop at Belmont and he was very charming (smarmy) , promised lots, dismissed competitors, said his prices could not be beaten in terms of value for money and he showed us some samples, which were really lovely. However, my daughter in law had already paid in full and in the 2 months leading up to the wedding he led us a merry (not) dance. She was absolutely distressed, he cancelled many appointments, and we tried desperately to pin him down, but had to listen to many false promises which he did not deliver on the day. The flowers arrived in a taxi to my house on the morning and they were not what we had asked for and he had said we would get, my heart sank as I knew she would be so disappointed. Even worse, when I arrived at the church with the boys, the church had not been decorated as promised, her Aunt had been furious with Mark and he came running up to me apologising and said he would pay back 300pounds as a good will gesture (we are still waiting). Finally we arrived a the reception and again I could have cried, he hadn't even started and whe he finished it was a vase on each table, water and a flowered, no candles, foliage, top table, so so so gutted. All in all he treated them disgracefully, took the money and couldn't care less. I got married on the 4th August 2012; it has been remiss of me not to have written this sooner. I have read all the comments on this site on the run up to my wedding and let me tell you, it was with anticipation as I did not know what to expect with reviews that I read being so conflicting. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't always plain sailing with Mark for instance with meetings cancelled at short notice but I trusted the reasons given. But on a positive note any meetings we had with Mark, he listened to what I wanted and even arranged a site visit to Enniskillen. I also received 3 sample bouquets and once I had decided on the design then I changed my mind and Mark was more than accommodating. I also order countless bunches of flowers from him which where both beautiful and excellently priced. On the day before my wedding, Mark telephoned me countless times to run though everything and to wish us all the best. The next day it was a nervous wait but with the excitement of the day I barely noticed it. Mark telephoned to say he was on his way and once my flowers arrived they were just what I wanted. The church flowers that Mark provided were lovely and then he transported them to the hotel for the reception. Also in my wedding package, I got a fairy back drop and chair covers which dressed the room perfectly when my flowers had been set up. I could not fault Mark on the day. DISQUALIFIED MOTORIST FAILS TO PAY FOR FUEL..as per Newtownards Chronicle Newspaper, Thursday 17th January Edition A Dundonald man was found to be driving while disqalified after he failed to pay for fuel at a petrol station. 42 year old Mark Boyd, from Cairnsmore Walk, was charged with driving without insurance and driving while disqalified on December 13 2012. Ard magistrate court heard last thursday that police were called to a service station where it was reported that a driver had failed to pay for fuel. They spoke to the driver, Boyd, and discovered that he was driving despite having been previously disqualified. He admitted the offences. District Judge Mark Hamill gave him 12 months probation and disqualified him from driving for 12months for the charge of driving without insurance, He was given the same verdict which would run concurrently for driving while disqualified. . At last he finally gets named and shamed in one newspaper and one which is read and is popular newspaper for the residents of Ballybeen and Dundonald. This is just the start of his motoring offences as he has a history of 3 motoring incidents and of which are not yet settled, in or out of court. I hope that his friends of the church read this, i hope that his friends who contiune to stick by the scumbag read this and i'm sure they will make up their own wee theories and excusues for him and believe that they and he are right and we are all the wrong ones!! Awful services! Number of things were promised to me which were never provided, yet the money had been paid. Here goes the list; 1. Appointments continuouly cancelled! Even my final bouquet appt was cancelled for 4 consecutive nights the week before my wedding. I ended up seeing my bouquet 3 nights before my wedding and it wasnt what I wanted! 2. Turned up to the alter to find my Grooms flower was not the colour I had agreed to yet Mark did not inform me of this. 3. Mens flowers were ment to be magnetised and therefore no pin needed. This was not the case. 4. Groom was promised a second floor for evening reception this was never supplied. 5. Mother of brides were on diamonte wrist coursagesthey all of a sudden were not longer supplied the morning of the wedding!! 6. Flowers were promised outside the church, for me to turn up and the church to look a shambles from the outside. 7. A bouquet of flowers were ordered from the grooms mother to be sent to brides mother on morning of the wedding. These have yet to arrive 3 months on. I have chased refund payment of these and I am in a 3 month battle with Mark the florist. 8. Mark the florist didn;t even deliver the flowers the morning of the weddinghe got my video man to do it! 9. The bridesmaids flowers were not what I wanted/agreed to. Mark took his professional judgement to change them to something I didnt like! This was all too late to change on the morning of my wedding! Absolutely shocking service!! Do not recommend. read more
