Cool store with lots of trendy, clothes, shoes, hats, souvenirs. For people that might be coming to Northern Michigan for the first time and end up doing some of those activities and driving up the highway, it makes for a pretty cool piece of memorabilia. The workers were friendly and helped us out with some questions, made the process easy. Prices are a little higher, but because it's such a specific thing it doesn't surprise me.

The store itself is beautiful and the proprietor has done a fantastic job with the buying. The selection of women's clothes is nice, but the men's section is what really sets this place apart. If you're looking for a nice suit or something dressier and you'd like to set yourself apart from the Captain's Quarters crowd, this is definitely the place to go. A gentleman I'm assuming is the owner was very helpful and nice, although a bit stand-offish when we came in. I'm really happy to see something in Traverse that caters to men and doesn't subscribe to the Ed Hardy via Jersey Shore aesthetic. Just very tasteful, very beautiful clothes. I will say, this place is by no means cheap and I also kind of worry about its future. I think the reason places like Cali's or What to Wear are so successful is because while you can get the super nice, expensive stuff, you can also find reasonably priced items that the average T.C. native can buy. Not everyone lives on the bay or drives an MG and unless you broaden your appeal a bit, you're done for. No matter how far along Traverse may be as a town, it is still not New York or Chicago or, even, Grand Rapids, to be honest. Not by a long shot. Ultimately--do check this place out if you haven't. I, for one, hope this place is around for a long time!

I had heard a lot of good things about the place and after visiting myself I can easily say that this is THE BEST place in Traverse City for fashionable men's (and even some women's) clothing. I am not from Traverse City but I do visit often as I have a lot of family that lives there. I'm 29 years old, and admittedly a clothes snob, and I couldn't be happier that there is finally a clothing store in Traverse City that rivals shops in the bigger cities like Chicago and even New York. Now don't get me wrong, the clothes here are not exactly inexpensive, however, in this business you get what you pay for and in my opinion the prices are certainly appropriate. My favorite thing about this store is that they carry some very unique brands that are of high quality and a nice change of pace from any of the major retailers such as Nordstrom's or Saks Fifth Avenue. The other thing I enjoyed about my visit was that the gentlemen that helped me was the owner. He was not only helpful and knowledgeable but also very passionate. Everything from the clean and simplistic design of the store to the clothes that he carries is well thought out. Certainly a great addition to downtown and I look forward to shopping here for years to come during my visits to Traverse City!

Three other shops in town, on Front street, carry Kuhl brand clothing and none of them would order the pants for me. I walked in and talked to Joe about ordering them and "No problem!" was the response I got. He ordered them for me on the spot. The next day our flight department, was told to relocate to Florida for the winter a week early. I walked in to talk to Joe about not being in town to pick the pants up and he offered to ship the pants to me, free of charge! Additionally, I spotted a blue Kuhl pullover that I had purchased in grey a few days earlier in another store. I had also asked this store if they could order it for me in blue and got another "No" response so I purchased the grey one. I talked to Joe about this also and he asked if I'd worn it yet which I had not. He said, "Bring it in, I'll exchange yours for a blue one." Again, awesome! Thanks Joe. I won't be shopping for clothes anywhere else in Traverse City next summer.
