Hummus w/Pita Bread
Steven S.

Comfort food with a touch of elegance. The food served at Relish comes in good serving sizes and really sticks to your ribs. Most of the dishes are great for sharing but you may be hesitant to do so with how well the food is prepared. On our most recent visit we ordered Hummus w/Pita Bread, Louisiana Pork Chop, Baked Salmon w/Garlic Mashed Potatoes and some Churros for dessert. I love their hummus here. It has a "creamy peanut butter" like consistency and a strong garlic flavor base. The pita bread also looks homemade and came to us freshly toasted and crunchy. A big plus there. I had the pork chop and it was great. I think they must brine their pork chops because it was flavorful throughout and quite tender. My friend had the baked salmon and she seemed to really enjoy, especially with the garlic sauce that accompanies it. The churros were good, nothing mind-blowing though. Overall, a nice and homey little place to get some great comfort food in the QC area. Definitely want to come back here and try their afternoon tea promo!

Relish Sisig

Relish "Hello, Happiness", like many restaurants in the Quezon City area, was an old house which was renovated into this quaint little restaurant. We actually found this place by chance because we were looking for a different restaurant. The first thing you will notice when you enter Relish is the design of the place. A comfortable foyer greets you with its ornate chandelier and intricate ceiling details. Inside are display cases filled with decorative plates, cups and saucers and ceramic cupcakes. Very cozy & cute! :) The food at Relish is simple yet well-prepared. They are more known for their Afternoon Menu (Merienda). For dinner, we tried 3 dishes. The Wild Mushroom with Truffle Oil Pasta (Php395, 8.54USD) is good, but a little heavy on the truffle oil. The Relish Sisig (Php275, 5.94USD) is best for sharing and surprisingly light, perfectly seasoned, and had the right amount of crunch! Lastly, the Relish Roasted Chicken (Php395, 8.54USD) is definitely good for two people or more! The chicken was juicy and came with a aoli dipping sauce. I preferred to dip it in the Au jus. We chose to pair our chicken with mashed potatoes. Definitely hit the spot! Relish has a elegant yet homey vibe. It's a perfect place for intimate dates, lunch out with the ladies or Sunday family gatherings. If you love simple, hearty, "home-cooked" food, give this place a try. Next time, I'll go for their Afternoon Tea :)

Relish is like visiting a happy place full of happy people, happy food, happy surroundings and happy smiles. So it's no wonder I always enjoy food here as they always give out a wonderful vibe. I once tried their Roasted Chicken set menu which came with either a salad or soup, the main entrée and dessert. The soup was typical of any Pumpkin Soup, which was of couse Squash here in the Philippines. The chicken, however, was exceptionally cooked with the perfect amount of herbs and spices both inside and outside the chicken. The dish came with some fragrant rice and gravy with blended well together in my mouth. Last was a piece of dark chocolate cake. And if you know me, you'll know that I like anything dark chocolate, so this was clearly a winner on my part. I have yet to try their other dishes soon as I am usually compelled to eat dishes that I know would satisfy my tastebuds. Maybe I should just eat off of my meal companion's plate next time?

Relish is one of those cute and bright restaurants that you pass by and instantly makes you want to enter it and check it out. That's how I felt when I first saw Relish. Upon entering, I immediately loved the simple but cute interiors. There were porcelain cakes and cupcakes on display on a cabinet by the entrance and the rest of the restaurant is white with black and green grass accents. What I like to order in Relish is their Relish Special Sisig for a creamy, unique, sisig taste; Relish Bistro Steak for tenderloin slices paired with their to-die-for herb mushroom rice; or Slow Roasted Beef Belly with Au Jus which is amazing as well. I love the interiors of Relish and it seems like a perfect venue for a baby shower. They have a second floor that can accommodate you as well if you want a private space.

They say that money can't buy happiness. However, money can definitely buy a meal or two at Relish, and those meals are sure to make anyone happy. Open from breakfast to dinner time, Relish serves excellent food, enough for me to swear up and down about how good it really is. My girlfriend and I went here not expecting much, but were blown away by how they set the environment for you; the people at Relish want you to enjoy your comfort food and leave happy. That is, essentially, their main goal - to introduce you to happiness. Their Relish Roasted Chicken wins my heart so much. They cook it so perfectly well that the meat just falls off the bone, and the dish comes with your choice of side, and some gravy and chicken juices (the healthy chicken oil). It's half a chicken, but I was surprised that my girlfriend was able to finish this (mostly) on her own. It's THAT good. The Slow Roasted Grilled Beef Belly with au jus gravy is just as good, depending on whether or not you like eating beef belly. The meat is super tender, and the serving of gravy that comes with it blends with the meat very well. I thought I wasn't hungry that night, but I just couldn't stop myself, even though it was only two slices. For the price, the flavors alone will win you over. The serving portion is quite large, and I think the chefs know how good their food is that they serve it that way on purpose. Relish is a real winner for us that night, and we will be coming back for more, with more people to share in this happiness

Ambience: The restaurant is pretty spacious but not too big…read moreeither. They're located on the 5th floor. Seats are convenient for pair or group dates. Since The Podium is growing, you can go to this restaurant from the new Julia Vargas entrance too. Food: Falafel with Pita was insanely good! I loved that they gave so much pita and falafel. This was the first time I had falafel covered in sesame seeds. My ideal falafel would be one with a crunchy coating and soft filling, and they nailed it! Everything was cooked very well and I could really taste the grilled flavor of the vegetables. Pitas were thick; carbs galore! Service: I'm also happy with their service! They did what they could to give me an easy and pleasing experience with my reservation via Eatigo. My server did really well and he checked on how my food was.

The course took very long, so I decided to eat something at the food court. I confess I didn't have great expectations, since I'm not a food court fan, but the food impressed me. I suggest starting with an appetizer sampler containing falafel, humus and babaganouch. For the main course, I had a veggie moussaka which was just great! Pair it with their moroccan mint hot tea :) I must add the interiors are very nice and really brings a Mediterranean vibe.
