We have had so many services over the years from routine exams to grooming to emergencies and major dental work. Everyone has been consistently outstanding. All of the vets have been great but especially Dr. Michele Mason. Dr. Mason has been there since we started and is wonderful. She helped to quickly identify a serious issue with our dog Alvin a few years ago and suggested bringing him to VCA for emergency surgery, very likely saving his life. Dr. Mason (as well as Dr. Ungar and Dr. Jordan) also provided outstanding care to our beloved first dog Wilma from her first visit to the end of her life. My only issue with them is their phone system. Periodically, messages are left and not returned. I find it's much better to wait and speak with someone live or send an email. Other than that, they are awesome and an amazing service to have right here in Kensington.

He went from being immobile to jumping in and out of the car again almost instantly after starting the laser treatment and green lipped muscle supplements. My dog is an 16.5 y/o hound who is in great health despite her most recent stroke which causes her left paws to be weaker and thus walk with a limp. On a house call to visit my girlfriend's dog, Leslie gladly looked my fur child over and recommended 2 supplements. The green lipped muscle was the one of the supplements she had on her to sell me, so my dog has been on it for 5wks dispensed at each feeding 2x/day, and the 2oz bag is still have full (at only $12/bag)! I have received numerous comments from friends and family who have noticed how much better her balance is, I notice her cognitive functioning is sharper she is more responsive and seems to hear my whistle again; she's aware of herself spatially so less stumbling, less falling; and an overall more energetic dog. I am so grateful for having met Leslie and her generosity to see us when she was really there to treat my friend's dog. It speaks to her commitment and passion to bring wellness to our fuzzy friends. And, to have a better quality relationship with my aging companion is an amazing gift. I highly recommend giving Leslie a call regardless of what your animal's aliment is, she is a caring, intuitive healer who is committed to facilitating health and wellness in your pet's life.

First time appointment is around 1 hour and a half and it was awesome. Dr Carter really looked all of my dog's history since he was born and asked us so many questions that no regular vet takes the time to do. This place uses chinese medicine, thermal scanning, gut microbiome and other non invasive techniques to look for the root of the patient's issue. Place is small, very inviting, holistic and they offer quite a few of services. We left very happy and with a protocol to help our dog. Loved the vibe of the place and everyone was super nice.

She has always been extremely thorough whenever I have had concerns about my cats and is patient when answering all of my questions. I appreciate how detailed she is willing to be in her prognosis and when I have had times when I need to monitor my cats after medical issues, the vet techs or her are always good at following up over the phone or via email. I always air on the side of caution, but I appreciate how well Dr Young weighs out what is worth monitoring and what is good to do as a precaution. One of my cats in particular has cerebellar hypoplasia and whenever he has had procedures done, the folks at Cheshire always have taken good care of him. He recently had a scare with a reaction to a drug during a procedure and the vet techs and Dr young immediately attended to him. I have heard many scary stories of vets who do not keep a close eye on cats under these scenarios and I was yet again immensely grateful for Cheshire Cat for watching over him so closely. No dogs is also a huge plus too!

Unfortunately, after our most recent experience, we will be looking for a new groomer. When I dropped our dog off, I sat down nearby to wait. I overheard the groomer, "Shane", say, "That long face is a sign of inbreeding." I was honestly appalled. I walked up to the counter and asked her to repeat what she had just said. She seemed flustered for a moment and then told me that she had said "breeding." At previous appointments, Shane has also made comments about our dog's long nose--something along the lines of her being one of those "easy to draw" dogs because of it. I don't remember her exact wording, but at the time we thought it was funny and harmless. After overhearing this most recent comment, though, those previous remarks feel very different. It makes me wonder whether what we thought was playful joking was actually making fun of our dog's appearance all along. I do want to specifically mention that our experiences with Nicole and Jeff have been wonderful. They have been kind and have even made positive comments about our dog. We have also consistently been happy with the grooming work here, which is why we continued coming back for almost two years. I'm not leaving this review because I want to give the entire business or the rest of the staff a bad name. I simply felt that something needed to be said about the inappropriate and bizarre comments made about our dog. Hearing something like that--especially when it seemed to be said without realizing I was still there--completely changed how comfortable I feel leaving her in their care. It also makes me wonder what else might be said when owners aren't around. It's really disappointing because we have otherwise had a positive experience here for a long time, but after this interaction, I no longer feel comfortable bringing our dog back.

We now have had our Amelia groomed by Angel at least five or six times. He does an excellent job. First, this is a cage-less groomer. There is no making our girl wait around all day in a crate while they get to her. Also, he is very kind and spends time making her comfortable before each grooming. Angel is experienced in many different types of dogs, and knows how to groom both cocker spaniels and poodles, making him a great candidate for our spaniel mix. He takes our direction and gives her the haircut that we want. Appointments have been quick and easy to schedule. The price is fair and similar to other private groomers in the area. I plan to continue to take Amelia for haircuts and recommend Angel to to others in the area looking for a groomer.

But we took him to a couple other groomers before we found Angel, and he was terrified and barking and yelping the entire time. It was an awful experience for him. When we brought him to Angel, the reviews are true, he is able to calm any dog or out of control puppy (like Preston) down in an incredible way. We never directed him on any sort of 'haircut' per say, I guess now that we always bring him to Preston about every couple weeks, Angel does the best job on the way he grooms him, he always looks fabulous! I can't recommend Angel more for those looking for a private, stress free grooming environment for their dog.
