My water heater (thanks to Scott for pointing it out on his previous visit) was manufactured/installed in 1997. It was overdue to fail any time, so to avoid the potential headache and mess in the garage if it does fail, I called on Reliance Plumbing once again to help me out. Scott, and his assistant Brad, are always a pleasure to see and talk to. (I don't often say this about people working in or around my house.) By this time, they are like old friends to me already. Scott gave me a very reasonable cost to replace the water heater and they did a fabulous job, as expected. He replaced everything (including fittings and hoses) and even added extra things (at no additional cost) ---- a pan, a pipe extension to prevent water from sipping in the wall, strap for my expansion tank, etc. He is methodical, neat, with great attention to detail, and takes pride in his work. These people are stupid. They don't have any source of time management. First of all we made a appointment for 6:00 pm. Then at 6:45 pm they call saying that the plumber got stuck at someone elses house. Then at 7:10 pm they call saying that "Our plumber got stuck in traffic so he will be there at 8:00 pm." Fantastic experience. I have a home warranty and after our water heater busted a leak, I contacted the warranty service and they attempted to set me up with a different plumbing service. After waiting over 24 hours and no call, I called the warranty service back and was provided with Reliance Plumbing as my 2nd option. Scott was here within no more than 2 hours, was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked cleanly and efficiently. We have a personal friend who is a plumber, so we were resistent to going with a stranger, but knew the home warranty would cover the replacement of the water heater. We couldn't be happier. We have used Scott for our plumbing issues at a couple of our homes now. He is very knowledgeable and just a super great guy. One of the things we like the most is we feel we can trust him to be honest and not just want to charge us an arm and a leg. If there's something wrong, he will fix it. Called Scott again because our hot water heater went out. He went above and beyond to get it fixed quickly. He was very knowledgeable about our model of hot water heater and was able to troubleshoot the problem, replace the defective/damaged parts, and get everything back up and running in no time at all. I called several plumbers in the area for a small repair. Out of 5 or 6 called Reliance was only one of two who actually called me back. I got a referral for reliance from Ferguson plumbing supply figuring they deal with many local plumbers and would point me in the right direction. Scott called to let me know he was running 15 min. late which I appreciate. Work was done quickly and looks good. Price was a bit higher than quoted on the phone but not by alot. I figure this had to do with the job being 1" pipe vs 3/4". His price was still 30% cheaper than the one other quote I received. Great service nice guy. read more

Thank you to Scott and Reliance Plumbing. Our hot water sprung a leak out of the top on a Friday afternoon and when I called a couple of businesses, no one was answering-- except for Scott. Very friendly, I talked to him for a bit and he told me how to get through the weekend by selectively turning on the water valve when showering then turn it back off when done. He showed up on time Monday. He is clean cut, was in and out within about 2.5 hours and left the area clean. He changed out the water heater and disposed of the old one, replaced the pan and all lines. He even took $50 off of the quote because he used my existing water valve since it was in excellent condition. I had a toilet that backed up into the shower, and was not able to reach my landlord, so called Reliance Plumbing. I had a million things going on that day, and he squeezed me in first thing in the day. About the time he got here, the landlord finally called back, and wasn't sure how he wanted to proceed. When the landlord decided to handle it on his own, I tried to pay Scott (the plumber) for a service call. Even after completely rearranging his schedule for me, he refused payment for his time. We had a clogged master bedroom shower and we requested AHS to have Reliance Plumbing (RP) take care of it. We chose RP because they received excellent reviews by other customers on yelp. We are so glad we chose RP. Scott made the time to come to our house on a Saturday and worked really hard to solve the problem. It was rather a nasty clog and Scott spent the time and had the necessary equipment to unclog the shower. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and nice.
