Cancelling an appointment without notification after booking a month ago because we had two days of heat spike is utterly ridiculous and unexpected. I pay for a service that I don't receive. Had a leak from my rented water tank. Reliance came and replaced a T&P valve, but said my Expansion tank was faulty and needed replacement at a cost of $160. here's where the problem arises. A new tank was installed in late 2023 for which I paid $160. A few months later the tank failed and was replaced free of charge. Now the tank has failed again after 9 months. Reliance wants another $160 to replace the tank, saying the water pressure is too high? Now if water pressure is the problem maybe a relief valve on the tank would resolve the issue or maybe poor workmanship from the tank manufacturer is the issue. Some history. The original tank was installed in 2001 and failed in 2023, the original tank reached its life expectancy and water pressure was and is constant. The complex I live in has 42 units, 85% of the units still have the original expansion tank and all water pressures are similar. I am now faced with paying another $160 with no guarantee. On top of all that I still have water leakage which is now causing damage. Reliance was to call me the following day to discuss this issue. Guess what? No call. Here it is 3+days. read more

The sales person Stephanie D'Ambrosio was probably the worst customer service person Ive had to deal with. After her canceling TWO scheduled visits in a row, she asked me to be the one to just take the photos. The installers were late. I had told Stephanie I would pay in full.. no payment was asked for. Needless to say I had the AC unit installed in June and only just paid for it this week and they only JUST cancelled my old account that I was being billed for this week as well. It's august. The absolute worst costumer experience Iv EVER had with anyone! Im not sure what happened to this company in recent years. But incompetent incompetent incompetent...with no accountability. I am disabled because of a recent accident.I got on this service call early to avoid being stuck in the heat without cooling, being unable to leave the house. i rent the equipment from reliance. (Service is included in the contract) I called in to have my A/C serviced only to be told and fought with that the "service" part had expired two yrs ago after being unable to explain how this could have happened. I was told I would be receiving an email highlighting All my unanswered questions. And that I would need to replace all the units and start a new contract (at a different rate I'm sure) The email has not come to this day. I called in to another line and had it straightened out. I was apologized too and had a service call set up For the next day 1-5pm. no one showed! After 2 hrs of waiting I received a call from another tech that they would be at my residence at 8:20pm! Only to be told they could not fix it as they did not have the part. I get things happen. But i have been hung up on. Told to "calm down". Sent strangers to my home without being told why the original service guys couldn't make it and still not have the issue fixed. I now have to trust that other ppl are coming to repair the unit at who knows what time and day!?! Add in the fact that I had to call in to inform myself Is absurd! I paid my account off a few weeks ago and after making 5 calls and getting the run around I have still not received a receipt for my payment of $10814.00. Nor, has the legal department sent me anything to prove that the lien has been removed from the title of my house. I will never deal with Reliance ever again. Bought a new A/C Unit over a month ago and the sale and install went well, however, I was not provided the free Nest thermostat I was promised during the sale. The installation techs didn't have it during install as it wasn't on the work order. Weeks have gone by and after many phone calls, I still have not received the thermostat. They sent me one, but it was the wrong one. This seems like such an easy thing to fix to make me a satisfied customer, but I can't possibly suggest Reliance to anyone looking for a new A/C if they don't provide what they promise. I've been told my complaint has been escalated so many times, God himself must have my file in his hands by now! Who is in charge??!! read more

AC replacement was a 10 out of 10 experience. Product was top rated and very competitively priced. The installation crew were friendly, arrived on time, completed all work quickly and cleanly, and left in about 2 hours. It doesn't get any better. read more

Beware! bought A new A/C unit, I suspect it was subcontracted technicians not reliance that came. Arrived very late with excuse that was exposed as a lie , brought the wrong size coil for my furnace, there was a lot of arguing with their supervisor to get the right part...they were instructed to cut up my furnace and make the too large coil fit...they were going to MacGyver the job! I had to interject and refuse the install before it was agreed that the correct part was delivered. Took them 5 hours to install central A/C when there was a previous existing system! refused To use the required amount of lime screening to secure the compressor in my yard....now I had another problem to deal with the next day. Long exhausting day with an added project for me. After all that they claim they couldn't test the unit ...so what ? Fingers crossed it works when it is supposed to?. If you give a 4 hour service window at least you should be able to make that. But these jerks can't even do that! My appointment window was between 7-11 so up at 6:00 only to get phone call 10:15 that they won't be here until around 2:00 PM! Where the justice in that? My response is not toward the Tech but towards the company. The 4 techs, yes 4 techs we had were kind and did what only what they were allowed to. What I have an issue with is that we pay a rental monthly for the last 5 years at which we have NEVER missed a payment. We pay a rental because if something goes wrong we expect it will be fixed and corrected. We lost hot water on Aug 1st and it took 4 techs and over 1 week to get us hot water. This is ridiculous, on top of that my partner had to take a day off of work UNPAID and further more our dog was also ill. We could not do ANYTHING that required hot water which included using our dishwasher, doing laundry, having a shower etc. Yet NO ONE even called to check in or apologize. No one offered us anything, this was escalated to management and yet no one called to even apologize or rush out a tech for us... instead after the replacement was installed you had sales reps calling to sell me other products. Do you seriously think after the service I received from RELIANCE NOT THE TECH, I would trust you to have my other products??? Would you trust the company you work for them? This is alarmingly upsetting that especially in a time like this, no one in the management team could pick up the damn phone and just apologize or check in on us or even rush out a tech for a replacement. You guys even changed the appointment without telling us, we only found out because I called in to ensure both my number and partners was on file for the tech to call as I had a medical appointment Aug 7th only to find out we still wouldn't have hot water until Aug 9th. Had I not called we would have waited all night as my appointment was between 7-11pm for no one to show up. read more

Never show up at the time they tell you they will (they give you a time frame of 4 hours) thus wasting your entire day and never calling to tell you they will be late. Had our furnace stop working on a Friday night and called in Saturday morning, they said they couldn't send someone until late afternoon Monday, didn't come during the time provided. It's the middle of winter and we are cold. They always make us waste our entire day waiting with no apologies or call to warn us that they will be late. read more

I have been renting a furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater from Yanch Reliance Home Comfort. The rented air conditioner was located by them below a valley, from which ice fell in several consecutive winters. Despite this, they refused to move the unit to a safe location. One winter, a large sheet of ice fell, crushing the unit. They refused to replace it and insisted on continued rental of it, despite not functioning, threatening our credit rating. This should be well below Zero. Reliance uses sub par contractors to install AC units. Installer Coryn M had to come to my home 5 times and the AC unit is still not operational and he may have damaged the brand new unit as it sounds like a jet is about to take off. 1. The sales Rep ordered a massive AC unit that did not fit the space between my house and neighbor. A smaller sized unit had to be ordered to fit the side of the house. 2. The installer used the first Evaporator Coils that came with the bigger unit and installed it with the second unit. The AC unit kept running for 18 to 20 hours for about 4 to 5 days. Called for Service again 3. The installer installed the Evaporator coil upside down. 4. Installer left the coil manual attached to the coil blocking the Air flow. 5. Installer comes back and flips the evaporator Coil. AC unit still working 18+ hours to cool the house and doesn't reach temp. 5. AC has a hard time reaching temp and ice buildup on evaporator coils and AC unit outside, water all over the floor in the basement. 6. Reliance still sends me the same installer. It seems that he didn't pressure test the AC unit after flipping the evaporator Coil. , Installer calls his friends to find out how much gas to load in my unit. He fills the unit and unclogged the drain for the Evaporator coil tray, AC unit is working. Shut down for the night as it was cold. 7. Start the unit the next day, AC unit sounds like a Jet about to take off, AC starts making cold air inside but for about 3 min then blows 21 degree air. 8. Called Reliance and asked for the unit to be removed and now still waiting for the escalation team to get back to me. Stay away from this company. This is just the short form of the story. The Reliance customer service is not great at all, I call and get hung up on, I request a different tech to come out and they send the same person back and they tell him that I requested someone else. He had the audacity to tell me that he knows I requested someone else but I am stuck with him because they will keep sending him. There is no clear line of support when calling the call center, they are also lacking the proper tools and process for escalations. I also don't see why I need to wait 24 hours to cancel the deal and have them call me to arrange the removal which by the way didn't happen because I am still waiting. We are on week 3 now and no AC in a heat wave. Currently 29 C inside my house. read more
