I was made to feel embarrassed for not knowing that two extra waxing strips would cost an additional $22, and that the travel-size wipes were $13 after being told they were free. I left feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and like I wasn't treated very well by the front desk. While I appreciated the kindness of the person who provided the service, the checkout experience really impacted how I felt leaving the appointment. I am a true believer in PT but in this case, PT didn't help. My hamstring muscles were very tight, I could not get them to relax even with PT exercises. At that time, a friend suggested getting a massage and referred me to Yukiko Halvorson. At my first massage appointment with Yukiko, she worked on my hamstrings. With deep tissue massage, Yukiko, worked magic on my hamstrings and got them to relax for the first time in many weeks. I started out receiving one hour massages and have now worked up to 2 hour massages once a month. Yukiko is located in downtown Bellevue, one block north of Main Street in Old Bellevue. She has a parking spot reserved up front for her clients. Since moving to this new space (Namaste Healing Spa), Yukiko has incorporated hot stones into her massages. Combining deep tissue massage and hot stones really helps to relax my muscles. I highly recommend Yukiko Halvorson.

I'm writing this review now that I've stopped going to Lina's Salon. I had great experiences with…read morethe younger technicians, but my experience with Lina was awful. I had grown out my natural nails to a length I loved, and she used an electric file to shorten them, which caused all of my nails to break. She also cut my skin and made me bleed. When I returned and explained what happened, she seemed annoyed and again used an electric file, which caused a burning sensation. When I pulled away, she rolled her eyes at me. I refuse service with her and the relationship with the salon turned sour, guessing because she is the owner lol anyways I've taken my business elsewhere there's hundreds of great nail salons out there and better technicians that would take better care of your nails. Using an electric filer to file down nail is a big NO.
