Called BC/BS and they told me that they farm out the "find a doc" part of their website to a 3rd party and they supposedly "verify" it once a quarter. As a guy that's been kicking around for many decades now, I can say this "insurer" is not even close to what the provider it used to be in the past. I strongly urge you to find another insurer if you are paying for their "services" out of your own pocket.

Paul Jones came out to our home early one morning to take photographs for our homeowners insurance. Some might say that is simply part of the job, but we appreciated his willingness and professionalism. He has also helped when we had questions about roadside assistance and other matters. He has been steady and dependable. Emma Preston has assisted us with our auto insurance and has always been pleasant, both over the phone and in person. Caroline Dorris Banky and the rest of the team have consistently taken time to explain things clearly when they might otherwise feel technical or confusing. Wilma and Taylor have also been helpful and professional whenever we have worked with them. Parking is easy and conveniently located right at the door, which is something many people appreciate. The waiting room is very comfortable, the magazines are up to date, and the office is clean and welcoming. In the hot Alabama summers, it is cool and comfortable inside, and during the winter months it is warm and inviting. Communication has consistently been prompt, and we have always felt respected and never rushed. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel hurried or impersonal, this office stands out.
