From a couple years ago : It was a great massage- it was like a deep tissue massage - it really got at my knots. There was a lady on her phone in the waiting area during my entire massage so that was frustrating. Also if you get a chair massage they are (or were) right next to the waiting area so I felt self conscious about that. I don't love that there aren't separate rooms, just partitions, but for the price and how good the massage is I will go back. (Update: the price went way up which is comparable to other massage places - so I might look for something else especially when the other places in town have better privacy) It was also frustrating when I called I couldn't make an appointment they said to just come in. read more

Oh my lord, I've been there twice and gotten a massage from 2 therapists. Both massages were phenomenal! The first time, I'd done a marathon the day before and was super sore in my back. The massage made me feel so much better. They have very reasonable prices ($55 for 45 min), and they used hot stones and a warm towel both times, no extra charges. Most places I've looked at charge extra for that, so that was a very nice surprise. It's not exactly a spa environment, but it's a stellar massage. Highly recommend! read more

I go here regularly. It's is the perfect way to relax and take the edge off. They both hit all the right parts and make sure pressure is okay through out. I don't mind the talking at all either and it's fun to imagine them saying nice things about me as a previous poster mentioned haha. Both ladies get right down to business and hit all the right spots and muscle paths. I can kind of be a massage snob and this is great for a walk-in option. I suffer from really bad ankle pain. I went in to get a foot massage, after wards my foot felt like I was walking on more of a pillow, I didn't feel the aches when I walked on my foot after the massage. I expect to go back often to help with foot pain. read more

This place doesn't have the reflexology that I'm familiar with (foot massage + body massage), but it's still excellent. They do something called accupressure and it's no joke. I've gotten two 30 minute table massages ($32) and have left feeling like a new woman each time. They use strong pressure--something that can be hard to find-- and they really get in there and tackle knots and relieve aches and pains. You lay on your stomach and they begin with an intense deep pressure massage over a towel. Once you're loosened up they remove the towel and use some lotion and massage more. So I was hit with a stress headache and that came with knots in my shoulders. Getting into a massage place is not same day so I thought I would try. I loved that I could just walk in. I must say I was greeted very sternly (only reason for four stars) and thought twice about a massage at the mall. I chose an hour massage for $60. She asked if the pressure was ok and I asked for more pressure. She was strong in a bruise me kind of way. She went to war with the knots on my back and did not relent. My headache of two days went away at about the 30 minute mark. This is not a spa environment. I love that this was a practical, dont call ahead solution. I left relaxed and was sore the next day. My headache did not return. She listened and took care of those knots. I had a chinese massage in chicago that was more hands on in that I was bent and stretched about. This was definitely calmer then that but efficient and worked. She did soeak to a coworker in chinese while giving me a madsage. That was ok because I imagine she was saying things like "this woman has amazing muscles" and "this lady needed to come in three days ago" and "golly, this gal is pretty". I prefer this to the fact that it was just two coworkers talking so I feel pretty good about the whole thing. I will go back as needed as I appreciate the flexible scheduling and good outcome. I just had another headache! I went back to relax station and once again my headache is gone. That is a miracle. No drugs. No other items. Its a gorgeous winter day and I feel like going for a walk and doing things again. Update to five stars for the getting rid of the headache. read more

I love this place. I'm always scared of food or massage places in malls, but these ladies are fabulous! They are super strong and any kinks or knots in your muscles will be mushed right out. They use their elbows and forearms to massage people, which I hope keeps them from getting overtired because this place is sometimes hopping on the weekend. Appointments are made by walking in. If they are busy with customers just wait for a face to pop over a wall and tell you how long it is before they are available. I'm usually dizzy after a 30-minute massage, but I am grateful to have the ability to turn my neck and use my arms again. read more

I love this place. It's Chinese massage techniques. The ladies are always very friendly and accommodating to get you in. I've had reflexology and regular massage. They do a fantastic job. Especially for a quick fix if I can't get into my regular massage therapist. You can get 20,30,45 and 60 min on the table. I like that they have options. They also do chair massages. This is my favorite place to go for a great massage. The ladies use their elbows to get into those tough spots as needed, but are also very careful to check if the pressure is right for each client. It can be odd to have massage in the mall, but the therapists are very respectful and make sure everything is covered from anyone else. The pricing is reasonable, too. read more

Went to Relax Station in the ames mall. Where you get messages. Okay, let me rephrase that. A friend and I walked past Relax Station in the ames mall and these two women came out and started rubbing our shoulders... then grabbed us by the hand and pulled us in... so I gave in and said okay I'll do 10 mins. Which was 12 dollars. So I go up to pay for my friend and I and it was $24 and tax. So I just tipped 3 bucks because it wasn't the greatest thing I've experienced. She then took the receipt and looked at it. Then told me that I need to add more tip. And gave me a pen and told me to change it to 4 dollars!!!! I was like ummmm... okay? I NEVER IN MY LIFE have been asked to tip more and forced to change the tip amount, IN MY LIFE! I will never go back there. She dragged me into the store, She didn't do a very good job, then she demanded more tip from me. What a pathetic excuse of a business. The end read more
