Started out with a back walk using oil which was a first for me but very effective After that it was a full body massage that covered all the sore spots with the right amount of pressure. During the…read moreappointment, there wasn't much explanation about what products were being used or what steps were happening next, which made it a little difficult to fully relax since I didn't know what was being done to my skin. She did ask some questions about my skincare and skin concerns, but some of the responses to my answers made me feel a bit embarrassed and self-conscious about my skin rather than supported or educated. As someone new to facials, I was hoping for more guidance and encouragement rather than feeling like my skin was being judged. When it came to the extractions, some of them felt quite forceful and were pretty painful. The pressure used felt a bit aggressive at times, and the way the towels were used on my face also felt a little rough rather than soft and soothing. Because of that, I didn't necessarily enjoy the process as much as I had hoped. That said, I do love how my skin feels a few days afterward--my skin definitely looks and feels refreshed. I just wish the experience itself had been gentler, more communicative, and a bit more reassuring for a first-time facial.

Cassie at the front desk delighted in telling me that "State Law prevents us from honoring this gift," when I asked what law, she changed her story to say that it's their own entrepreneurial law. I planned to tip the full amount of the certificate. I thought this was the first step to a healthy change and likely would have become a regular client. Why? Why not offer a discount? Why not offer a price list for a shorter massage? Why be so ugly? Please don't waste your time or money on this business, they don't care. Unprofessional and petty. It was not a good vibe. Cassie snapped at someone else in the office about the AC and how it was only cool in one spot and she couldn't enjoy it between customers. It made me feel like I was the problem today.

Sherry is by far one of the best masseuses they have on staff and that's who I request most often as long as she has availability. After my last massage here, I'm done…read more The communication is terrible. Every appointment starts with about a 10-second conversation about what hurts, and then the massage begins. There is no effort to clarify the exact pain location, explain the treatment plan, or make sure the massage matches what you asked for. My most recent massage was with Angela. I specifically showed her the exact area of where my chronic pain is and asked for that to be the focus. I understand working around the pain target is part of the process, but when a client specifically points to the area they want worked on, that request should be respected. Instead, very little time was spent on the area I actually came in for. Angela yawned throughout the entire hour long session. There were also numerous periods where it felt like she completely stopped massaging me. Her hands would stay in one spot with little to no pressure. The front desk experience was no better. The blonde woman with her hair slicked back in a bun was rude, dismissive, and acted like basic questions were an inconvenience. This is extremely disappointing when someone is dealing with chronic pain and spending money to hopefully relieve some of that pain. Unfortunately I won't be back.

Their website for booking was clear and had great options to choose from. My massage therapist was very nice and checked on me throughout the service to ensure my needs were met. I'm typically use to a different type of massage but she did a great job. Typically I like to do my gratuity separately in cash and I typically give 20%. There was already 22% applied to my bill. I do not like this and therefore, I am taking away one star. What if I didn't like my service? Or like today, wanted to pay in cash. This does not give me that flexibility and I didnt like that it wasn't listed anywhere on the waivers since I booked in person. This should be told upfront to customers so they aren't surprised. I typically go to the spa monthly at home, and I'm always given the option to leave a tip in an envelope or charge to my card. It's always optional and convenient. I probably would not go again, but the experience overall was good.

If you book a aescape robot massage you're free to utilize all of the spa amenities such as the multiple relaxation spaces, sauna and my favorite the steam showers which in my opinion were worth the visit as they are very few spas in the city that feature individual steam showers., I would definitely recommend booking a session during week about two hours prior to the mediation, this will allow ample time to relax and enjoy the spa before capping of the night with a peaceful float meditation. The float meditation features complimentary bubbles, heated eye mask, a blank, headphones and a guide meditation you can download on your phone. The session isn't available at the time of this review by I highly recommend checking this experience out when it becomes available again. Service appointments and special events can be booked online., All in all R+R is the perfect spot for a little Nashville daycation.
