My Experience with ChaimsPro Pickering: Subpar Service, Safety Risks, and Decreasing Value…read moreI have been coming here since February for full-body laser, and the quality has completely tanked in less than a year. When I first started, I had no idea what to expect because they did absolutely no consultation. The first technician I had talked a lot and had good customer service, but her actual work was horrible. It wasn't until I saw the second technician that I realized how bad the first one was. The second girl was amazing--she literally got every single inch. I hadn't even thought about hair on my toes or my back, but she was so detailed she covered everything. She took her time and used the proper clinical method: doing pulse-to-pulse first, and then following up with continuous movements for each small section to ensure full coverage. But after seeing her for months, I walked in recently to a completely different person with zero heads-up, and she made me wait almost 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. I have never had to wait that long here before. The problem with this new tech isn't just that she is fast--it is that she is completely skipping proper treatment steps just to get a quick client turnover after making me wait. She missed massive sections of my body and spent barely 10 seconds lazily continuous-swiping each area. It happened so fast that it was completely ineffective. She kept asking where I grow hair, which makes no sense since I paid for a full body, forcing me to point out my own missed spots. Funnily enough, this new tech made a couple of negative references about the previous girl, which was wild to listen to considering she was doing such a horrible job herself. She tried to sound knowledgeable, but her lack of experience actually turned me off from doing a section entirely because of burning, and I ended up with a physical reaction on my chest for the first time since February. I chose this spa specifically for their machines and their advertised experience with darker skin tones, but these new techs are a liability. On top of the terrible service, they quietly raised the price by $100 with absolutely no warning, despite spamming my inbox with promotional emails daily. They have the nerve to ask for a tip on a subpar, rushed service, and they aggressively harass you both in person and over email to lock into prepaid packages. My friends who come here face the exact same staff turnover issue, seeing a different, random person every single visit. It has been days, and it feels like I didn't even have an appointment because my hair growth results are completely off schedule. I will never pay $250 for an inexperienced tech to rush a treatment. I am not going back. Although, i would say the previous tech was worth every bit of that $250. What a loss!
