A friend recommended that I give Relax Nails a try, and I'm glad I did. The salon is clean and the techs are polite and friendly. I'm completely devastated at the quality of service I received from this nail salon. I walked in asking for a soak off from a previous nail set and what I received were damaged nails!! The man assisting me was kind himself, but he only trimmed my nail w/ the acrylics and forced a nail tip between my nails to remove the acrylics. I left so upset and it's one of those moments where you just stay quite because you don't know what to say... I have to now wait a minimum of 2 weeks to even get them done again by my nail tech.. Please note I've came to this salon before and had received a soak off from a girl previously which were okay. Acrylics should never be ripped off. This is a new place here in town. I've been here twice and I usually give a place a couple of tries before I give a fair rating. The first time I went they were super duper busy, but at 30% off and 1.5 hours to spare I didn't mind. I initially wanted a mani and pedi but opted for just a mani when I saw it would take too long to get both. I waited 1 hour for someone to finally start on my mani, 15 minutes later I was done. That's right! 15 minutes!! Now, if I wasn't in such a hurry I totally would have said something but I had to leave. Now there were a couple of things I liked: 1) A complementary drink 2) 30% off for their grand opening 3) there was a 3 but I forgot.... The place is ok, not really a relaxing spa.... But just a nail salon. The decor is kind of cheap, white walls, ok music, Oh I remembered #3! The color selection! All the colors they have are so awesome. They didn't have the chrome colors that I was hoping for but I did I find the "mermaid" gels and they are beautiful!!! Ok so I was happy with my basic mani but then a couple days later it started cracking!!! Went in on a Friday, 2 nails were cracking literally right after, by Monday every single nail was cracked and 2 were chipped!!!! Ugh! I didn't have time to go back in to fix them until Friday So the second time I went in, I told them what happened and they fixed them at no charge, which I totally expected. So good for them for treating their costumers that way. I respect that and for that, I will be back again. They explained to me the reason for the cracking was a top coat they purchased but will no longer be using because of the cracking. I'm not sure if they had more complaints than mine. They did assure me that if that ever happened again all I have to do is come in and they will fix it at no charge. I appreciate that. For now, I think 3 stars is a fair rating. I highly recommend not coming here. The lady filed my skin and said it was "just paint" and that it would come off when I wash my hands. I washed my hands in the back and the nail brush they had was extremely used. The only reason I give 3 stars is because when I came here, the lady who did my nails thought my nail inspiration was "too" simple and added some glitter that I didn't ask for and still charged me 15$ extra. I've had 20+ people tell me how HORRIBLE they look as well so this is not a personal opinion. They charged me $46 for a FILL, this is the most EXPENSIVE fill I've gotten and the WORST! My nails look FAKE AF like PRESS ON NAILS. The nail polish is super thick, they are shaped all different shapes and sizes and I was the only person there so there was no reason to be rushed. I highly recommend. He doesn't tell you the wait will be 10 minutes if it's going to be longer. It was my first time going to the salon since its near my house and it had some good reviews. I came in, it was busy. Nobody greeted me, I was standing until a lady who was working on someone's hands yelled across the room covered by loud the sound "What do you want?" I was placed in the care of a man who didn't bother to present himself and just asked me to sit. I told them I preferred a female do my nails as she was the one who did them before and trusted her. I sat at my chair for about 30 minutes before I was told "sorry we can't do your nails" I asked politely as to the reason why and was told "moon is busy and she can't" I wasn't offered a time or told I would be able to come back later, or simply a different staff member. It should also be noted there were 3 females! This place use to be good. But lately I realized they would rush through my fills and pedi when ever they began to get more and more walk ins. I'm sorry but this place isn't cheap for being a walk in nail salon so I took my business elsewhere. I might pay more money but at least my new nail tech is dedicated to me and the work she does. I also drive all the way to Bakersfield for my pedi now. These little wannabe walk in salons really get you for your money because it's Delano and they know most people don't want to commute far. Ahhh. I went here on two separate occasions and I just can't justify any reason to ever come back. There are multiple nail salons in Delano now, all with their faults, but this place takes the cake. First time I went I intentionally showed up in the middle of the day on a weekday to avoid a rush. There were only two customers (including myself) in the salon and I asked for a gel mani/pedi. Lady who did my nails was in such a rush to get them done my nails were filed crooked! I just let it go in hopes that my nail polish would last, but nope! The gels chipped not even a week later. Second time I went was to remove gels. The guy who removed my nail polish was so rough my cuticles had abrasions. It was literally to the point where I was withdrawing in pain and I was being looked at like I was the one causing a problem. I've had gels taken off several times in the past but this is the first time my nails have been so brittle. To top it off he didn't attempt to smooth my nails down so they were left bumpy and uneven. read more

Went in for a gel mani/gel pedi during their grand opening promo (30% off). I went in on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy but I only had to wait about 15 mins before they started on my pedi. Not really a relaxing place but they did have a lot of workers which made the wait time shorter. They offer a complimentary drink while they are working on your nails, which was nice. Nice selection of colors and I waited to post this review to see how long my mani/pedi gel polish would last. So far it's been 1 month and I'm planning on going back in a couple of days to get another mani/pedi, but I have to say that the polish did not crack at all and it is barely starting to chip. One thing I disliked is that they cut the heck out of your cuticles. That part was painful and I will be requesting for them not to cut them this time. Overall, I do recommend this place. read more

Ever since this new place opened i went in there a couple times. Waiting time depends obviously whether there is a lot of people or not, but the workers tend to rush when they see more people waiting around. The last time I was here I asked to get my acrylic nails removed which she then proceed to do, and she was in such a rush that she ended up breaking my own nail and I started to bleed. The only thing she did was put glue on it and carried on. She then applied the coats of nail polish and gave me the mani I was there for. Let's not forget that she gave me a look like it was my fault that had happened. A couple days later, I had to remove the nail polish because my pinky was still in pain and I wanted to see how it looked under there since she had not done much about it. My nail was broken but it was holding on only because of the nail polish. I was afraid I would catch a nail infection. I dislike that they move you around and different workers have to work on your nails. Sometimes they can be rough when filing nails and are rough with the cuticles. read more
