Granted it is a basic facial- they don't have options like all spas or salons do, but my skin was firm and glowing afterwards. My pores looked so much smaller and my skin just overall looked much more evened out. I wasn't expecting them to have a wide variety of different products to use, but whatever was used definitely worked. I believe the student who did my facial was named Paola or Paulina, and she did such an amazing job. She took her time, approximately an hour, and was really educated on the products she was using on me and explained exactly what it did. I couldn't have asked for a better person to do my facial. She did an excellent job and didn't rush, just took her time with me. If anyone needs a basic facial for an affordable price- definitely check them out and ask for Paola/Paulina.

I found two really good barbers, who are getting trained well at Paul Mitchell. They actually gave me a style that I really like today. Skin fade. Good! cut balanced and nice. Let me be clear. I've started visiting Paul Mitchell in Modesto in early June. I went in expecting to have a hair cut tha maybe I wasn't too happy about. But I'll be honest with you, I was really surprised. What was great was that the Dean of the school, goes around to each barber and makes sure the cut is coming out good and balanced. I would suggest to be clear with the person who is cutting your hair. Also be nice, and make sure you know what you want for a cut. From the sides, to the top. Now I'm going for skin care too, because shaving has been chopping up my face. My favorite has been Gary! But go visit and have a great experience.

Since I've been seeing a lot of their TikTok videos lately, I decided to give them another try. Yes, a lot has changed, both for the good and the bad. While I was receiving my facial, instructor Sasha was teaching a class. She is very passionate, assertive, understanding, kind, and loud in an enthusiastic way! I completely understand that this is a cosmetology school, but it was extremely frustrating that the students in the class were talking loudly and laughing excessively. I couldn't help but let my amazing esthetician student, Claudia, know that I felt this behavior was unacceptable and very rude. Even though there were only two clients in the room, I felt the class could have been more considerate. Had I known it was going to be so loud, I would have brought my AirPods and listened to some calming spa music! I simply feel that students should be more mindful that clients are in the room paying for and receiving massages and facials. A little consideration for the clients would have made a huge difference in the overall experience. On a VERY POSITIVE NOTE, I am incredibly thankful that I had Claudia as my esthetician student! For someone who is still a student, she is already well on her way to becoming a true professional. She has an excellent bedside manner and is passionate, informative, knowledgeable, and professional. Her energy and vibes are absolutely amazing! I will DEFINITELY be coming back every month to be a client of Claudia's! I also want to acknowledge Adrian at the front desk for being kind and welcoming. Instructor Sasha was also very kind and genuinely concerned about my complaint and feedback. I appreciate her willingness to listen and take my concerns seriously.
