When she saw there wasn't an exact match in stock, she checked the artist's website for other shops that sell her work, called two shops to ask if they had them in stock, and helped me plot my route there. I contacted the store and they suggested I mail it back (I don't live in Quebec), it would be replaced, and I would be responsible for $15 shipping back to me. The ring was just over $100 + tax so with shipping ($25 to get it there and $15 back) it would have cost me about 30% of the cost of the ring to have it replaced. I completely understand it is up to me to get the ring to them, but I would have though that if a stone fell out after 5 days, they would have at least covered the shipping back. I have spent hundreds of dollars at the store and this has made me rethink future purchases as I am not confident they will stand behind the quality of their products.
