10/10 Okay,…read moredisclaimer: stop reading now if you're easily offended... because I'm about to get a little too real. It has been damn near impossible to find someone who could make my husband's hair and beard look this good. I mean, I envy his beard at this point. Kevin is basically a wizard with clippers and a comb. Every time my husband walks in the door after a visit to The Den, I have to take a deep breath and remind myself this is a public review. Let's just say Kevin's work has me acting like I'm in a romance novel. 50 shades of gray shit. If you're looking for someone who knows their craft, pays attention to detail, and leaves your significant other looking dangerously good -- go see Kevin at the Den. But don't say I didn't warn you.

I live locally and was really hoping to make this my new regular spot, but my first experience here…read morewas incredibly unprofessional. I walked in and asked a barber if he had time for a mid skin fade; he said yes and told me to take a seat. Literally 10 seconds after sitting in the chair, he asked me to get up because one of his "regulars" walked in. When I asked if the person had been waiting before me, he admitted no, but said he had to take care of his regular first. To make matters worse, while I was waiting, another barber became free but simply walked out to smoke a cigarette instead of helping the people waiting. It's clear they don't value new customers or basic professional courtesy. I won't be back.

I've always gone to a local corner cheap haircut place, getting the random barber or stylist. With…read moremy daughter getting married, I thought I should get a haircut that looks better. I'm not sure what style I wanted, so I let my hair grow for 3 plus months with plans of going to Hammer and Nails. I met Mike, the owner, at an event at his place. I was impressed with the concept of a place focused on guys and doing it with style and quality. Fast forward 4 months later, it was the first time I spent over $25 bucks on a haircut. Also, my wife convinced me to get a pedicure that I never had before. My hair stylist was Roya. She knew exactly what to do with my hair. I was very pleased with Roya and the entire experience. In fact, I already booked my next haircut with Roya. The pedicure was good also. Having your feet and legs massaged was a cool experience. This is a great place for guys to get a great haircut, watch sports, and have a beer. I Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new grooming place for guys. You won't be disappointed!

This review is not for the haircut (I go to Alicia and she always does a great job) but for the…read morebooking process. I made an appointment a 6:00 PM appointment for yesterday, to see Alicia before she leaves on a trip. I went through the website, chose my time, selected my stylist, doubled checked everything, and hit confirm/send/whatever button finalizes the transaction. An email confirming this arrived soon after. I put it in my calendar. All done, right? Apparently not. After driving 30 min to get here I was informed I did not have an appointment. I explained exactly what I did and was then gobsmacked to hear that after I book an appointment online the email I got has a code in it that I then need to enter online in order to REALLY confirm the time slot. Then, after that's done you apparently get 2 more confirmations before your appointment. You'd think this is scheduling surgery or something. This has got to be the most inane, idiotic approach to scheduling I have ever seen. Everywhere else on the planet, when you hit CONFIRM, that's that. You're in. Why am I, the customer, who made an appointment, being asked to do so much work just to keep it? But what if I don't show up, you're asking? H&N has my CC on file, so if the policy is you get charged if you don't show up, and I've acknowledged that somewhere on their site or by simply booking the appt, then that's on ME. Luckily, Alicia was able to get me in after first agreeing the stay late, but then her last appt canceled so I got in sooner. But if I had driven all that way just to be told my appt I definitely booked wasn't going to happen for a WEEK... this review would've had a harsher tone. I'm not jumping through a series of hoops to keep an appt I made and if that's going to be the policy here in perpetuity then I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Since I took him up my hair stylist in San Clemente he won't go to anyone else but I don't want to drive to San Clemente if Im not also getting my hair done. Need something local & messaged Allan who informed he was booked but kept us on the waitlist if anything opens up. Praise God there was an opening. Logan was amazing.
