Excellent service, been looking for a barber for months now and finally found Page, she's the best!

Grateful for a place that has worked to be such a part of a community. Prices are more than fair. James is fantastic and always listening to my needs as a client. He genuinely works hard to provide top notch service... and the vibe there is perfect for a family barber! I've been going for years and will continue for years to go to Stews! read more

Please don't take your kids here. Unprofessional and rude. Don't even know how to talk infront of kids.

the person who's always cut my son's hair didn't have any openings, so we made an appointment with a girl named PAGE, and she gave him a TERRIBLE haircut!!! there's no way to style it without it looking messy, it was a really bad cut. This has never happened to us there before. Please don't go to this girl if you want to look good. read more

Literally can't say enough good things !!! My baby got his first cut at another salon and it was awful! James at Stews fixed it! So grateful for his kindness ! read more

First time here, hadnt had a cut in ages. Amber was awesome! She did my cut how I wanted and made sure I was ok with the cut along the way. Not many people are as attentive and just do whatever. Thank you for that, great service all around. Shop vibes were mellow which I appreciated. Will def be back. read more

The business now requires online booking and that REQUIRES a credit card and phone number and email. Too much information, and yes you could in theory walk in, but they are fully booked according to online. Time to move on to a place that doesn't require all my info. On a positive not, in the past they had good barbers and service. read more

Grew tired of Great Clips, continually increasing prices, and the quality of haircuts going down and down. Decided to try out stews on a whim based off of yelp. Their booking isn't great, but gets the job don Brooke was great, super personable, easy-going, and had me in and out in less than 20 minutes. my only bummer was their payment system (square) doesn't allow me to tip on credit card, I wish I could've, she was great and delivered exactly what I asked for. I will be coming back and making sure I have extra cash to give her next time. read more

Brooke is the nicest barber ever! She cuts my hair so well! The best barbershop on the planet! The whole vibe of the place is great too!

Brooke was AMAZING! She cut all my hairs down to the perfect millimeter. She is quite the PYT. When you ask for her, you know you are getting the real biz read more

Pre covid it was around $20 to get a cut. Now it's like $33 before tip. Haircut took less than 10 minutes. That means that the stylist are getting around $100 per hour. Getting a haircut in Ladera Ranch is about as enjoyable as mattress or car shopping. Feel like get bent over more and more every time I go here.... read more

I've been here many times. I live just across the street. Now today I'm met with employees saying "appointment only". Well, I guess Stew's now thinks they're some exclusive "hair place". There are so many other places where anyone can just walk in and get a damn haircut. Good grief, It's not rocket science. I will just take my business elsewhere. Someplace without an attitude. I'm done with Stew's read more

I have been going to Stews for at least 5 years. I really like the staff and they provide good haircuts. They no longer take walk ins and have been appointment only for a while. However, recently they have instituted a very difficult online appointment system where you MUST give all kinds of personal information, including a credit card. This is being done to avoid no-shows, but there are far easier ways to solve this problem without opening up customers to credit card theft and identity theft. Punishing good customers for a few no shows is a poor way to run a business. If they don't change this policy, I will have to find another place to get my hair cut, which is a shame, because I like Stews and I have never failed to show up for an appointment. read more

Excellent service! My toddler loves it and they do a great job on his hair. I won't take him anywhere else!

Here's the deal: J.C. Penney's called and wants their business model back. it's 2023. Buy an online booking system, make customers hold their spot with a credit card. Done. No more "oh we are full today, but we only take same day appts, please call tomorrow at 8:40." How much are you paying someone to man the phones and play phone tag This is bush league stews - get with the times. read more

Love the family that works here!! They have created a fun environment and Mark & James are the best!! Always remember that we are all human and if you take the time to complain knowing that hair always grows back and if you can say you have NEVER gotten a bad hair cut your only lying to yourself and to yelp. No one can read your mind only the description you give them to go off of. If you can't elaborate on what you want for yourself or your kid then don't expect perfection. Stews Rocks!! read more

Another great haircut for my son. His barber was really sweet and knew exactly what looks best. I love this place read more

Requires on line booking with credit card so they can charge you for missed or cancelled appointments. Never going there again. No walk-ins either. They are destroying their customer base. Terrible management of a once good business. read more

This was my first visit to this barber shop. I didn't feel welcome and to be honest I will not be coming back. The whole experience made me feel awkward and the hairdresser didn't do what I was expecting. She just cut the hair shorter even that I explained I hated the last haircut. read more

I love this place. James and his crew do a fantastic job and we're one of the only salons to stay open and cool during the pandemic. Support this business! You're supporting a patriot and getting a great cut read more

I took my 2.5yr old son to Stew's today for the first time. It was not his first haircut, but man was he the most difficult, screaming, little child while getting his hair cut. The staff there was SUPER patient with my son and some how managed to work through the cries of murder he had giving him a phenomenal cut. I'm super thankful for their willingness to be patient, and work through it all to give a great cut. I honestly don't know how she managed to get such a great cut with a child flailing around, screaming like he was. Thank you Stew's for taking such great care of my scared, and problem client son! read more

Sorry guys, not coming back here again, May be it's just "our luck" today, but you totally ruined the look we asked for. Totally not what was asked. Not only that which you said it was a miscommunication, but the back looks like someone just chopped it unevenly with holes showing the skin through. See the photo. It's not a haircut you'd expect from a cool men's barber shop. Very disappointing. My son was trying to be polite and not make a fuss about it but he has to stay with this now for several weeks. The haircut he wanted took 3 months for his hair to grow into. read more

Showed up at 4:30 to an empty Stew's to get our 3 boys haircuts. Was told our appointment was at 4:20 and as 8 mins had already passed we could not be provided service due to a later appointments scheduled. I understand the principle, but there really is only 2 mins difference (4:28 vs 4:30). Their "by appointment only" policy has really ruined it for me here, which is too Brad as we have good memories of stews from pre-Covid. Not anymore. read more

Good dos. They know what they are doing. I have had a few suggestions and the are great listeners and don't fret about telling me it's not a good idea. Thanks Team. read more

Took my 14 month old in for his first haircut. He is a pretty chill baby, but he cried the whole time. Brooke did his hair and she was a total rockstar! Such a professional, she said his cries were so chill compared to some that she has seen she was completely unphased, which made me feel so much better. My boy's hair looks amazing and we were in and out in 15 minutes. Best experience ever!! Will be coming back for all his future appointments:) read more

the service was terrible. the lady that works the front desk is extremely rude. will not be coming back.

Both times I have went the cuts were not very good, wouldn't recommend a fade there. No walk ins anymore also makes it a big downgrade.

Always a great looking haircut for my boys! Even though scheduling is a bit difficult as you have to call the morning of as they only offer same day appointments, if you call right when they open, there are many open slots. The staff is friendly and fast. My children can finally enjoy a great local haircut for a great price! read more

We've come here for years and today we went in to get my daughters hair trimmed and they refused to do it as they cut "boys" hair only.

After 30+ years with the same barber in Mission Viejo, I decided it was necessary to make a switch. Based on the reviews I read in Yelp and elsewhere, I gave Stew's in Ladera Ranch a tryout and I am very glad that I did. Mark cut my hair exactly how I like it. Quite honestly, it's the best haircut I've had in years. And, just as Mark predicted as he finished up, my wife also liked it! I definitely have a new barber and will be back in a few weeks. read more

I've gotten my hair cut here and also taken my 2 year old here a few times and it's always a great experience. All of the employees are very friendly and welcoming. Call first thing in the morning (8:30/8:45) and get you appointment, you will NOT regret it! We take both our boys there and they love it! We used to take them to the little kids style haircuts but it was always a pain and would take forever. This place they are in and out so quick and their haircuts look awesome. It doesn't hurt my husband can also get a haircut while we are there too. read more

Went to Supercuts to get a haircut in Ladera Ranch. They were closed! Great Clips has gone out of business!! Stumbled onto Stews! Got a great haircut and they staff is awesome!!! Stews is in the Stater Bros parking lot. They have been there for years and never knew it! Don't go anywhere else to get a haircut! They are family owned and run!!!! I finally found a great place to get a haircut!!! read more

Heard about this place for some time and finally went this past Friday. Phenomenal experience. My son never knows what to do with his hair (15 year old). Don't know the name of the lady who cut his hair but it's perfect and he loves it. Got a fade and a little off the top. Appointment was at 2 pm, got there a tad before, they were ready for him and we were out the door with a great cut in less than 15 minutes. SOLD! We'll be back for sure. read more

James is AMAZING! We love it here and he's always taken great care of my sons hair. It's the only place we go.

Has been a great experience from day one. Taylor she's the bomb! She'll be cutting my hair for along time. Seems like all the stylest here have a great following. Don't let the name fool you! It's more than a Barbara Shop! read more

Love Stew's!! This Barber Shop is one of the landmark stores in Ladera Ranch that makes Ladera so special. I've been coming here for over 10 years. Everyone gives a great cut, but I always ask for Christie if she's available. She is always super nice and does a great job!! read more

After Covid I lost my barber and was forced to look for a new one. Now my two boys and myself all go there and won't ever go elsewhere. 4 different haircuts from four different barbers at Stews and all of them were good. Meaning the entire shop does a good job not just one person there. Thanks for taking care of south Orange County. read more

I never had an opportunity to get my haircut. I went in to schedule an appointment. The person I spoke with was rude and seemed put off that I didn't call to schedule the appointment. When I asked if I could schedule a future appointment, I was told they only take same day appointments and I needed to call in the morning because the hookup quickly. My wife and I are teachers and stepping away from my class so that I can schedule a haircut for me and my son is not a realistic possibility. I would love to support a local business, but this will not be one them. read more

I have been coming to Stews now for over 5 years and see no reason to not come here anymore. I usually ask for Jim or Mark to give me a trim but any of the staff at Stews has done a great job on my hair when either Jim or Mark is not available. On the odd occasion, I have gone to another hair cutting locations out of ease or timing but always regret it afterwards, I'm sticking with Stews. read more
