The bottles of wine here are not expensive, although the upcharge to retail is substantial mostly landing at x3 to x4 to retail price. That is certainly higher than expected and putting higher quality bottles without increasing the price would be a reasonable consideration for the restaurant. When it comes to the steak, the preparation is absolutely phenomenal. The seafood is also excellent, with fish of the day being a great dish. All around, Cafe Tabou is easy to recommend. I also had the chance to try out the chicken sandwich, which is arguably the best takeaway sandwich in town. It's real chicken breast with sauces and salad.
