It's a smaller State park and slightly confusing with the direction's but the staff was helpful just get a map. We camped in a "walk back" section of E. Very spacious sites with the bathroom/shower reasonably close. Parking was "ok"..... but they fill up and then you have to use overflow. The bathrooms/showers were clean BUT I guess I'm used to sites that spray repellent because nature is boss. We drove through the comfort sites of D and they were too tight for my liking. They have yurts and cabins but for me a tad too close. They do have an Island camp site Loved it!!!!! That's a must do. It's 2 sites across a short walking bridge with water view and access. I would definitely go back.

One thing I don't understand is why the Park Maintenance people don't cut the Wisteria growth on the trees? Some trees have vines over two inches in diameter. This stuff will choke a tree to death over time! Great walk ... very pretty sights. Fall colors will make it a much nicer walk!

This is a hidden spot in Delaware and its so beautiful. You won't find many people here but you will find your perfect quiet place whether kayaking, biking, crabbing, hiking, or swimming ( public boat ramp). The observation tower is the best view of the Assawoman Bay and wildlife . You will see lots of bald eagles, river otters, giant woodpeckers , blue heron, egrets. SMH why all those cars are sitting in traffic to go to the beach when you can go to the bay ? It's completely free ...lots of fishing and crabbing , sailing , paddle boarding and don't forget to bring the dogs because they are allowed here!

Had a great day of fishing with Angkers Fishing yesterday with our boy scout troop. After another…read morenearby charter fishing boat informed me they wouldn't have a boat available on our date (yes, after taking the reservation 6 weeks prior- boy, was glad I called to confirm a week in advance!), Anglers took our reservation that was $10 more but 2 more hours on the water perfect! We were fortunate with the eatger, but our day on the eater was great. Captain worked hard to put the boat over fish, and our scouts caught fish...well, at least 1 each, mostly kingfish and sea trout. Plus an unfortunate skate. The mates were patient, helpful, funny- perfect fot the kids. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Coat was $70 plus $5 rod rental + $.50 per fish to fillet afterwards on the dock. Plus, a 20% tip is posted as typlical gratuity on the boat. Would definitely come back to Anglers. Highly recommend.

We were a small group staying nearby. No one had fishing experience and this place provided rods…read moreand instruction as part of the 4 hour charter. The website noted that the fishing conditions weren't prime yet, due to currents of some sort. But as we were a group of total newbies, we were just as excited about going out onto the ocean far from shore as we were to discover fishing. The charter departed right on time. We went to several spots to fish and everyone caught at least one fish - we think we had a ringer with us, judging by the 6 fish she caught. We hooked a flounder but it was undersize and had to be returned to the ocean. You can take your fish home and clean them yourself or walk over to the shop and have them clean the fish for you for a very small fee. This was a lot of fun and we enjoyed eating our fresh fish quite a bit.
