On the last visit I told him my big toe really felt painful after he removed the callous, as he was leaving his usual 5 minute visit with me. He turned around, never looking at my toe, patted my knee and told me "you will be just fine." and left. The pain was excruciating and I couldn't put weight on my left foot. I ended up 2 days later at Scripps Urgent Care where they told me I had a roaring infection brewing and put me on antibiotics and told me to soak my foot 3x daily in Epsom Salts. I also had 2 follow up visits with my PC doctor to check it a few days later where she put me on a second antibiotic. The saddest part was that two friends came from out of state to what was going to be a fun visit. I couldn't leave my house and they ended up waiting on me and we went no where because they depended on me to show them wonderful San Diego, and I couldn't walk. It took over two months to heal properly. I no longer am going there for care nor is my husband.

I wanted to know if my insurance covered the cost, so the front desk workers were asked to find out. They were unable to do so while I was there, so I left and asked the employees to call and let me know. It's been a week since then, but I haven't received any information about my insurance coverage. I had decided to go back and have the molds done anyway until I found out I was going to be charged for another office visit. This is just gouging people. I'm tired of medical facilities getting away with this. I found a much cheaper podiatrist in Oceanside.

The only reason William C Holland, MD, gets a one in my book is for his bedside manner. Sadly, the…read morereason he has a good bedside manner is because he's trying to bamboozle you. He is a corporate sellout who works for workers comp companies like Concentra, so that should tell you a little something about his integrity. I saw William Holland 10 years ago before Concentra bought out US HealthWorks in Marietta, CA. I crushed my index finger on my right hand while working at the City of Temecula. It was so badly crushed that the skin burst, breaking open an artery that supplied blood to my finger and requiring several sutures across the pad. Concentra assigned William Holland to be my orthopedic specialist after a couple of weeks of therapy. I showed Dr Holland that my finger had lost much of its functionality and explained to him that it was my trigger finger and that I enjoyed shooting being a retired law enforcement officer. The tendon that ran across the top middle knuckle would get stuck and jump. Additionally, I showed him that I was unable to make a monkey grip with that finger, which would totally mess up my ability to shoot accurately. Dr Holland told me that my finger would heal and that soon I would be able to have my monkey grip back. He wrote me off as 100% with no disability even though I had a major disability when I saw him. It has been 10 years, and I still only have about 50% use of the finger when it comes to grip. I can only get about halfway to touching the pad of my hand. Dr Holland lied to me! I believe it is because he has invested interest in keeping the contract for concentra/us HealthWorks who he works for. He knows if he saves money for the cities and large businesses, they will keep the same work comp company, and he will continue to be employed by them. If you have to see Dr Holland because you were assigned him for your workers comp case, be careful not to let him deceive or mislead you like you did to me. He comes off convincing, but if I were you, I would definitely find a different doctor on the list of providers and get another opinion when he tries to downplay your injuries! I learned the hard way!
