The bar, tables and general setup is great. But alas, this bar is victim of terrible pop art and a lack of uniform consistency of the decor.
It feels like this bar is trying to hard to be something that is really is not.. After a tiny search it is revealed that this bar is not only signed to Lion Nathan, but there are rumors of it being owned by them too.
The simple fact that they call themselves a brewhouse is the start of the joke.. They don't brew here at all. Nor do they even have anything that could possibly be passed as brewed locally.. They also claim to be a craft beer bar, but as direct contradiction to that they have specials on corona buckets..
The tap list is predominately James Squire with Kosciusko, Hogarden and Kirin. The fridge is predominately average and negligible.
We were here on a Tuesday and took advantage of their 2-4-1 Tuesday meals. This was tiny.. Flavoursome, but tiny. It didn't even begin to touch the sides.
All of the glass wear is quite different. The beer glasses are an tapered kind of snifter glass (see the image I uploaded). These are a very thin glass, and during the short amount of time we spent there the heat transfer through the thin glass was very obvious.
All in all. Another uninteresting local watering hole in the sea of average bars. read more
