At few times per year, I get locked out of my online banking account and have to contact technical support to regain access. Today it happened again. By now, I'm very familiar with the process, so I called the published technical support number listed in the app. However, when I called 1-866-913-3733, the automated bot informed me that the call could not be completed. I then had to search for an alternate number and I called 1-863-688-3733. I should also mention that I have many years of experience working in software myself, so I'm very familiar with troubleshooting procedures and understand that issues can arise. What I don't understand is why this same problem continues to happen so frequently. And no I didn't forget my password as I log into the app many times per week. During my second call, my frustration got the better of me and I muttered an inappropriate curse word. I immediately apologized to the representative, as it was not directed at her personally. The representative then requested my member number. I had my checking and savings account numbers readily available, but I don't recall ever being given a customer/member number to provide during previous support calls? Given the circumstances, it left me wondering whether the interaction had changed because of my earlier remark, though I sincerely hope that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, the representative was unable to resolve my login issue. I requested to speak with a supervisor, but it became apparent that one was not going to be brought into the call, so I eventually ended the conversation. In all my years dealing with MIDFLORIDA's technical support department, I've never had an experience this disappointing. After nearly two decades as a customer and repeated issues with online banking access, I'm seriously considering moving my accounts to another financial institution. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and discouraging. At the moment, my login info has not been reset. Maybe get AI to replace the rep? I'm certain, I'd be online right now.

On April 18, 2025, the branch manager at the Odessa, FL University of South Florida Credit Union provided the stamp for the paperwork. Yasnay Basulto-Batista (branch manager) took care of this after making an appointment to see her. She also made copies and made me feel special during this transaction. It was not a difficult transaction but the branch manager at Regions bank (Hillsborough Avenue 33614) refused to do the transaction due to me not being a current customer though I had checking and savings account for two years and just closed my accounts two weeks prior. I closed the accounts due to fees being assessed monthly since I do not have direct deposit of my paycheck. My spouse still had an account with Regions but is switching to USF Credit Union. The Odessa USF Credit Union branch is small but the employees are friendly and helpful. April Johnson, at the branch, ordered new ATM cards for me and is also very professional. I only opened an account at Regions due to being a few blocks from my home. I rather travel a little further to get nice people to help me.
