I have my MC payments through these guys and a little over a year in ive never encountered and issue with being harrassed. I was glad they called me once because i misplaced their number. Im almost always on time or early with my payments, because, well isnt that how it works? I never do these cash advance type loans as every company that issues those have idiotic interest rates for them(same with car title loans) and anyone who doesnt know that by now either lives above their means or just doesnt pay attention to their bills. Thankfully ive never been great with my bills, but i know enough to stay away from those types of loans. I will give you the interest is a bit on the high side, but i also have terrible credit, and they gave me a better rate than at least 5 other companies that the MC seller came back with. I was first contacted for pre approval to refinance which then turned into "hey, we can get you some money in your pocket too as well as refinance." Then turned into "Oh we can't move forward." Two days ago I would have given a good review but yesterday when my daughter (who is not social & doesn't bother about rude people, so Mama Bear is leaving the review) went in to pay off the last $3.00+ of her loan, the receptionist was unnecessarily short with her because she was late being able to get in to pay it off. FOR THREE DOLLARS. They don't let you pay off online; you have to pay in person, but she works from 7 until 5. Karen countered with "we're open til 5:30". Bitch, it's 40 minutes from her job to your office in rush hour traffic. She managed to get off early yesterday & went straight in to pay you. I've had a LARGE loan with Regional for years with no problems, but as soon as I pay it off I'm so done with them because of how my daughter was talked to. Very incompetent. Do not use. They mixed up my wife's account with my own. First it took 2 weeks to process her check then they put it my account then charged her a late fee. On the phone she was told the payment on my account had to be returned to the bank. She paid the current balance due then RC sent a debit instead of credit. So double payment... Had to cancel the one at my bank... Still waiting for the credit back. While dealing with my wife's account I'm told that my account was late even though I made it online and on time... for September and my October was due in 5 days. After much back and forth RC said "oh yeah you made it but it was .04 short" (I selected payment due) online. Then said they couldn't take a debit under $1.00.. WTF.. again after much back and forth they agreed to credit my account .04.. That's right two weeks and 2hrs on the phone to separate and correct two accounts. This company Allegedly sent a live check as a loan Unsolicited to our house which was Allegedly cashed at a bank (not ours ) and now it's on our credit report When disputed with the credit unions they provided vague and non specific information as to skirt the FCRA. When contacted directly they had all information incorrect and attempted to phish information mostly likely to correct cover thier tracks. In what world do you need to fax/email a DL to verfiy your identity with a company you took a 3000 dollar loan put with during a phone call? Obvious violations basic rights. I believe there are many more victims of this heinous business practice, and they have stolen money from innocent people I think they usually pray on low income and people in financial need in the hopes they will not persue legal action. My disabled son and I went to our nearest office and we're treated incredibly rude. The first woman in the first desk was giving him odd looks and would just ignore his gentle attempts to relate to her by showing her his prized leaf and snoopy shirt. She wouldn't let me answer the questions she asked but son had to answer. I understand following rules. What she did next was ask the same question over and over and wouldnt accept his answer . I asked for a visual of the question so he can answer more clearly and she denied him either having it written down or read ithimself off the computer. Then she repeated the same question about 7 more times really fast and then said there is nothing they can do for us and its illegal to try to take a loan out with him and illegal for them to give us one. I recieved a check in the mail .I deposit it in my checking account. I got a friendly call letting me know when my payments would be due. I made my first payment online. I called to make sure they got it.They were very polite and said yes sir it is posted. I have made all my payments on line with no problems at all.I look forward to paying it off.I may consider getting a car loan in the future. I pay a little more each month over my set amount. Beware of this place -- I have never purchased a loan from them, but apparently someone did under my name. I recently bought a home so they sent one of those "You are approved for $1,000 credit" checks in the mail (I never received it.) They ran my credit WITHOUT my permission, allowed someone to start a loan under my name WITHOUT any proof of identification and they tell me that whoever cashed it probably went to a check cashing store, but that can't tell me where that would be. Don't they have to send the money somewhere? For those of you that have purchased a loan through these people, isn't there a contract that is signed? I think they are lying to me in order to cover their asses. I have officially filed a police report against the company and will lawyer up if necessary. The manager at the Round Rock location, Lisa Martinez ran an illegal inquiry on my credit report and continued to report that I had applied for a new line of credit. My wife received a check in the mail from Regional Finance Corp #570, but at the time she knew nothing of what the check was for or if it was even real. The amount of the check was around 1300.00. My wife did call the phone number that was with the check and she asked if the check was real. She was told by the person on the phone that it was a real check and that she can cash it. My wife asked if this was for a class action suit from Barnes & Noble that she was part of. My wife was told that it was part of that suit and that the check was hers to cash and keep. She was never told that it was a payday loan. She was able to cash the check she received in the mail, that she did not ask for, at a major bank. The check was legitimate, she did not ask for the money, and it came in the mail. Since then, Regional Finance Corp. is now suing my wife for 1700.00, for a check that came unsolicited in the mail, and upon calling for information, she was given false information in order to get her to cash the check. read more

A lifesaver. I was ready to cancel my cell phone service completely since no one ever calls. My dormant iPhone was just a reminder of how alone I am in this world. Then I fell behind on payments. Regional Finance Corp began calling every day. They referred to me by name. They were willing to talk to me. They were willing to work on payment terms. They showed compassion. Their terms were so agreeable that I was quickly able to catch up on payments, but then the silence resumed. As luck would have it my most recent visit to the ER overdrew my account. I was unaware of this. I was knotting the rope and picking out a branch and then suddenly, miraculously the phone rang. It was Regional Finance Corp. They asked for me by name and wanted to know when I was going to come by to settle payment. Someone wanted to see me. I matter to someone. THIS LOCATION HAS MOVED TO 8868 Research Blvd Here's the MOST important part of my review - if you pay them off before the term of the loan then take out another loan with them they WILL double your interest rate to get their money from you. My Hubby got an unsolicited check in the mail that we happened to actually need. It was disclosed that the interest rate was 39% clearly that's ridiculous but when you need it you need it. Our payments were for a year and around $115. Then we paid off the loan in about 3 months from the date we took it out. Sure enough my hubby is involved in a hit and run while he was on his motorcycle and we had bills start to add up so I told him - hey why don't you go and take out a loan from Regional? The payment was affordable and we really needed it. When it came time for the payment - I sent the check in early for the old amount and the company called my hubby asking him if he was going to make the additional $65 dollar payment to actually pay this month's balance. OF course I get hubby to take out the paperwork on the loan and start going over it to see that now our interest rate is 80%. I was totally disgusted and appalled but of course we need to pay it. On more than one occasion I've sent a check early only for them to hold it until the last minute before cashing it so that they can get every drop of interest from us. Yesterday, I went to pay a large chunk of it and happened to see the manager looming while I was paying and asked him if he felt it was OK to rob people? I never cursed or anything but I did complain about the fact that they DOUBLED a "good" customer's interest rate. The manager got VERY irate and angrily told me to NEVER COME AND TALK LIKE THAT TO HIM IN HIS STORE AGAIN. To which I asked, "Talk like what? Tell the truth?" He then told me it wasn't even MY account (which is wasn't) and that I needed to talk to my hubby. He was mad because I said things in front of other customer. Told me that this was HIS LIVELIHOOD and how dare I come and talk like that? Like me paying back 80% interest doesn't affect MY livelihood. I told him he took advantage of people that really needed it. He really was irate at me - I had my kids with me and everything and he was yelling. I think he KNOWS I hit some points just by his reaction. We NEVER would have retaken out the loan had we know the percentage. While the manager said he clearly explained it to my husband there is NO WAY he did. My hubby would have called me right away to let me know. Their paperwork follows the letter of the law (fair lending act) but in NO WAY is within the spirit of the law. Anyway - I KNOW that payday loans are a scam but we needed it. We'll be paying it off in August and they did get blood money from us. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more
