I have lived here for over a year, and, generally, I agree that it is a well built place to live. However, the from office is one of the worst run and inconsiderate condo offices I have ever come across. The maintenance crew is wonderful and nice. However, the front office is a joke. When I moved in I was made to reserve and pay for a rental of an elevator, and told that if there was any damage I would be charged for it. Then when I was moving in, someone else was also using the elevator to move. The front office essentially told me to deal with it, and that I would still be charged for any damage.
Later I found an animal roaming the hallways of the third floor (this is an interior locked building). When I told the front desk that someone had let an animal into the building, and/or that someone had lost an animal they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. They did not care, did not take the animal and did not look into the obvious breach in security that allowed the animal into the building.
Finally, I allowed my boyfriend to park in the parking space that I pay for over a weekend that I was not in town. They then decided, without informing me first, to deactivate my parking pass since I "parked two cars" in the garage. I did not park two cars in the garage, I pay for my parking space and there are MORE than enough spaces available. In order to get my parking pass reactivated (the pass which also lets me into the buliding) I need to pay the association $25. Which is essentially just their way to strong arm people into giving them money.
In short, while I have enjoyed the building, and my unit owner is wonderful, I am going to flee this Association the minute my lease is up. read more
