We stayed in this hotel as we had a works Do at another hotel but that hotel was already full.
We booked the 'Executive Suite', if you can call it that, more like a maisonette. There was a very small double bed, and for myself and my partner, who is into weightlifting it was not a comfortable night! Sink and cupboard (no plates or cutlery), microwave next to the bed and a very small, old TV. The facilities are very old and dated but the room itself was clean. There is no lift in the hotel and we were on the top floor, through about 8 doors to get to the back of the hotel to the actual stairs. The stairwells were used as storage for all kinds of things (very unsightly).
The room was cold and no way of turning any heat on.
No complementary bottles of water.
We couldn't get our car onto the carpark. We arrived just after booking in time and it was full. Probably enough room for around 10 cars at a squeeze. We had to park on an NHS car park and pay for 24 hours further down the road.
We have staying in many hotels in our time and I must say this has to be one of the worst.
In need of updating and tidying in general.
The staff are friendly enough.
I can't comment of the complementary breakfast as we decided not to stay to eat. read more
