I often walked past this cafe and I loved the coffee aroma coming from the inside. It reminded me of the times I was in San Francisco many years ago, sipping on "French roasted," coffee. So one day I purchased my favorite, a strong flat white. And boy, did it really hit the mark for me. It had a little froth on top, and a strong taste to my mouth, but it was not bitter. I thought it would be, In fact it was like a nutty flavor. So I have been going there ever since, for the last 2 months. In the mean time I have found out from Lucy, the owner, that she is a pastry chef, and she makes all the cakes, in house. What a surprise. I tried a raspberry, coconut muffin, and it was really delicious. It was not sweet, allowing the flavor of the raspberry to shine through, while the texture was not overly moist, allowing me to really savour all the incredients therein. Nice one. There is a wide range of food available, from hot food, bagels, salads, and of course cakes. Lucy also makes real croissants! Yummy. When you are in Kogarah next, give the Regency Cafe a try. It is located next to the railway station, and the Kogarah shopping centre. Thank you Lucy. read more
