We will not be returning after this visit for multiple reasons, #1 being the price is outrageous! If we had gone to B&B like we normally do we could've saved 30$. #2 the seats were disgusting and obviously not cleaned with the last movies trash still left in the seats. #3 the popcorn was not fresh, it was stale and tasted so gross it was a waste of my money, luckily I only got a small. I have an unlimited membership to this regal theater. The staff is always friendly, theaters are clean, and the reclining seats work great! You can now mobile order concessions, and it's ready when you get there. No unsupervised kids allowed, haven't seen any issues with juveniles unlike other theaters. I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and this place was the closest Regal to me so I went for the first time yesterday. The 4 stars I'm giving this place is basically because the seats are so awesome. But there are a few things that I didn't like about this theater. First, the popcorn is NOT good. Of course it's overpriced, no surprise there, but it tasted very old and chewy. And essentially had no taste. Second, I wish there were signs above each theater number telling us which movie was playing in it. A great comfortable theater with the worst concessions in the area. It gets tiring to always have a shit experience every time with trying to get popcorn and a drink before our movie. People are just standing around in an unorganized mob, one guy in the mob told me he was standing in two lines. I assume because the one line he was in was slow as hell! Why in God's name would they have 1 or 2 lines open on a Friday night?? Doesn't matter, when you give your order they stand around confused and then come back 3 times to ask if you want butter. We have been going to this cinema for over 15 years and have always enjoyed it , but it has definately changed. My husband and I wete going in to a matinee this afternoon and were rudely asked if we purchased tickets. We said we need to and walked to the concession stand (where no one was working at that moment). She then told us to finish or dump out the Starbucks we were drinking. At that point we decided to leave. We are over 65 and many times have stopped for a matinee after Starbucks. I understand that the rule is no outside food, but it could have been handled in a professional manner, not telling seniors to dump out their drinks. Also, the theatre was empty at the time, and the 2 employees were just standing around chatting. I will definitely not be back. This has been my favorite movie spot for years but tonight it was dirty, service was poor, bathrooms were disgusting and dryers broke. I'm so disappointed in how they let it get so run down. The manager with the shaved head is so incredibly rude. They've moved the ticket purchase to the concession stand. They have three people working so lines get backed up. It's ridiculous. The theatre is dirty, the garbage cans are overflowing and the whole place just looks dirty. So sad to see this theatre get this way. They made all the renovations a few years ago and have the great reclining seats with ample leg room. But with the prices they charge at the concessions alone they should be able to afford to hire some people to clean. A great way to spend a rainy Sunday was at the movies with the family. It was great to be able to get back in a theater and watch a movie on the big screen. I was glad we showed up early, almost a half an hour, because just like every other business they appeared to be short staffed. You had to buy the tickets at the concession stand which I think made the wait even longer as most people were buying their snacks as well. I do believe that you could buy tickets ahead of time online. You do have to pick where you sit which was nice as well. The theater it self was very clean. I have not been here since they put in the new seats which recline. That feature is awesome and almost a must now. The seats were also very comfortable. It was also great with the cup holders for each seat. My biggest gripe other than the long wait in line, which I didn't expect to be so long, was that the person at the counter was not very nice. I love the remodel of the theaters, the new reclining seats are nice and cozy and spacious which is nice. Their prices are basically average with other surrounding theaters. They have a decent variety of concession options. They recently started carrying coffee and monsters which is pretty smart on the "stay awake in comfy chairs and dark theater" note but not as great on the more frequent restroom breaks front. Their bathrooms are pretty clean which I appreciate it especially since there seems to always be a group of kids somewhere in the lobby even when I am seeing a late movie specifically to avoid children. We saw Endgame there last night, really enjoyed all the time choices. i do kind of wish they still had someone doing the theater walks like they used, maybe it would have discouraged the incredibly couple next to us. I can forgive loud chomping of popcorn, I guess I get slurping your beverage, shaking the ice left in your drink over an hour after your finished it was a bit annoying but seriously they never shut up. That I cannot forgive. If your date has never seen a marvel movie, please for the love of God do not take her the end of a series! She never stopped asking questions, he never stopped answering. They commented on every little thing. Any time it got even slightly suspenseful or action-y (newsflash dude, its an action movie) she would pound her hands together as if she wanted to clap but knew she shouldn't, and he would stomp his feet shaking my seat. At first I thought maybe it was the bass of the speakers but when I realized it was him, I was really frustrated. And they never took a hint as I kept shooting glares and my boyfriend shook his head repeatedly. please regal, do something to enforce movie etiquette. Even if its just a teenager with a flash light 3 times during the movie, at least I may have gotten 5 mins of un-distracted movie time. read more

My wife and I went to this theater, and were excited about visiting a place with recliners. The recliners were great, but unfortunately, the customer service was severely lacking. There was a fairly long line to buy tickets, and only one window open. When we got to the window, Alyssa couldn't have been more annoyed to have to deal with a customer. I'd never done the "choose your seats" thing, so I asked about what the colors on the seating chart meant. Then I was confused as to why we still owed a balance above the movie pass coupons that we'd purchased at Costco. Both times, she was extremely condescending in her response. I have two teenage daughters, but haven't seen eye rolls or heavy sighs like that in a while. We then went to the snack bar. Again, only a couple of lines open, with a bunch of employees standing around (who you'd think would be available to help customers). My wife got to the front of the line, and the employee working the line just turned around and walked away. A Manager then came over and told her that she'd have to get into a different line, as the concession worker had just gone on break. The theater was nice and clean, but the lack of customer service kind of ruined it for us. Regal Cinemas is my usual haunt for movies. It was a large array of theaters, about 16 screens total. It also has an arcade with Tekken! They do a pretty great job with Real-3d, and the picture on all films is digital and crystal clear. The sound is also fantastic, with butt bouncing bass. I like the concessions, you can get your basic popcorn, or those little ice cream bites; nachos, or hotdogs! Gosh dang, nothing like hot dog and a movie, I recommend it. One downside are the customers, but I guess that's not their fault. I had to walk out of a film today with my significant other because the loud and obnoxious talkers behind us kept me from following the story. I went and told the manager this and he happily gave me a set of no-strings attached admissions passes, usable anytime. Ok...we just spent 20 minutes standing in the concession line to get just two tickets for the movie. They actually closed the movie ticket area in front where we have ALWAYS bought our tickets...and we were directed by three staff that acted like lost dogs who didn't know which side was up, and told us to all go to the concession stand..and all six lines were packed. Did the Manager use ANY critical thinking skills and have just ONE REGISTER open to JUST SELL TICKETS ONLY? OH HELL NO!...cause again...that would mean that the in house manager would be using CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS! Duh!! And we were going to buy our usual large popcorn and Coke...but that's $12 that Regal will never see. Just came from a beautiful movie experience here at Regal Willoughby Commons. However, being older, we were not smart enough to come WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY after the posted start of the movie. Imagine our surprise when we were the only two to enter the theater at the time advertised...(only someone from the old school would do that) After paying over $18.00 for the two of us, we were accosted with over 35 minutes of advertising!!!!!!! Who on earth decided that this was a good idea. We are exposed to this on our cable network more and more. The movies is a place to get away from that. I guess it no longer is an escape! They removed the box office and now you must wait at the concession stand behind people deciding whether they wanted popcorn with butter or without and/ or what kind of soda each in the patty wanted. There was not one line with ropes to queue customers in an orderly fashion. Instead you had to choose a line at random relying on the people in front of you to be reasonable. Our line was held up 10 minutes by a high maintenance and indecisive individual. Each minute that went by, we thought, surely he must me done now. Not so. Why endure this again? I'm very territorial about my local movie theater. If I'm going to see a flick, I like to do it in my town, in my theater with the snack stand that I'm accustomed to. That's why I love going to Regal Cinemas of Willoughby. I love that it's 5-10 minutes from my house and that it's a nice theater. They always have the movie I want to see with a number of convenient show times. Add in stadium seating, great sound and extremely clean. You can't lose when you've got those three things. There's usually not too many teenagers, who in my opinion just go to the movies to waste $10 and text the person next to them, not to see the movie. And best of all, mindless entertainment is an awesome way to unwind after a long week of work. If you're on the East side, and looking to go to the movies, give me a buzz. If you are disabled, but not confined to a wheelchair, you are not permitted to sit in a handicapped seat at Regal Cinema across from Red Robin. They informed me that I could not have two disabled seats because they were for handicapped people. I said that's ok, I am disabled. Long story short, they didn't think I was disabled enough. When I refused the seats he offered to put us in in the front I stated no thank you, I can't with that close because of my limitations, and would just take two in the second to last up top. I usually don't even sit in the disabled seats if I can get seats in one of the two rows above it as I prefer them if I can get there. The clerk then exasperatedly sighs and states Nono. He will allow us to sit there, but if a, you know.... someone in a wheelchair comes in I have to move. I guess because he can tell by looking what's wrong with me? read more

The facilities are nice enough with reclining seats and stadium seating. But the staff is beyond incompetent, either that or they don't care about customer service. The movie watching experience itself is very good. Recliners and sound system are excellent. As mentioned in numerous other reviews, the Concession Stand experience is unbearable. They have 8 or 9 registers, but I have never seen more than 3 open and on many nights it is just 1. We have adjusted by showing up 30 minutes early just so that we can make it into the theater on time. So, plan ahead and be ready to wait if you need popcorn fix at the movies and you will be fine. read more

Went to willoughby Regal last Saturday and was not allowed in because I did not have a mask. Told the guy I could not wear one . He said I could not go in. The parking lot was empty. Probably no more then 10 people on the entire theater. Very sad day in America. Thats discrimination. read more

My son and I went to see Rogue one a Star Wars story and we chose this theater specifically for the recliner Lounge seats. I chose to purchase my tickets online and they always charge you a convenience fee which is kind of a hard pill to swallow because you're trying to avoid the box office but you're paying extra to avoid the box office so I got that Goin for me which is nice. It was really cool when we went to get our popcorn as they offered us free popcorn because of some promotion I've never heard of but free popcorn free popcorn LOL. With our popcorn and drinks in hand when I went to our nearly empty theater and got to sit in our side two seats of which I chose on the internet just like you would choose for a concert or baseball game. That in and of itself is really pretty cool especially when you have a movie that should be in high demand and you don't want to fight for a seat or arrive an hour early just to secure the seat that he want. My only real gripe is that this place along with every other movie theater at never been in it is pretty disgusting floor was especially around the bathrooms it was sticky and slippery which is a weird combination to have read more
