I went to a weekday matinee movie so the theater was not very crowded which was nice. The theater is a little older and there is lots of neon inside. A little sensory overload. The seats are not the recliner style I am used to in the newer theaters but it was not uncomfortable. The sound was extremely loud and actually painful. I thought it would get better when the previews ended and the movie started but it did not. Additionally, the theater was ice cold. I am someone who is never cold and it felt like a meat locker. I was surprised that nobody is coming in and checking the theaters for these issues. Staff was very limited and other than the snack bar, I only saw one employee who was taking tickets when we entered the main lobby. We were so uncomfortable we ultimately decided to leave as the movie was a bit of a disappointment as well.

Old theater, no luxury loungers, seats are tattered, good quality sounds but poor picture quality. Ticket price are kind of a little bit more than the nicer theaters I have been to. Could it be because of its location? Maybe... The auditorium we went to is big, a few seats were occupied. After the show, a custodian is waiting outside. Restrooms are clean and fully stocked. They have a few of them. Tickets are purchased at the concessions.

Horrible experience. There were 30 mins of ad's, no rocking chairs or recliners. And the theater was freezing cold.

This theater is truly luxury where you can order your food and drink right at your seat and they do have actual meals (such as burgers, etc.). They also do have alcohol and cocktails. The seating here is unique where it's two sweaters (great for couples). than the typical long row seating. The chairs are comfy and feels quite intimate to be honest. I would say the only downside is that you know the movie is ending when the servers come to drop off your check so it can be a bit distracting from that. But overall, it's a great movie theater where you can eat and watch with your loved ones!

The location is great, with a large parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. I still love the lobby and overall atmosphere. It feels a lot more upscale than your average movie theater, and everything seemed clean and well maintained. The biggest disappointment was the service. We ordered a popcorn refill and additional drinks during the movie and ended up waiting about 30 to 40 minutes for them to arrive. I also never received a receipt at the end and had to stop by customer service afterward. I also have to mention how much I miss the Greek bowl they used to serve. It had gyro meat and was hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I would love to see it make a comeback. I'll definitely be back because I still enjoy the theater overall, but I do feel like the experience isn't quite as good as it used to be.

These days, with new releases available directly on our living room screens, it takes a truly special experience to convince us to head out to the theater. But some movies just demand the full big-screen treatment. My son convinced us that the new Spider-Man was one of those "must-see in theaters" films, and he was completely right. Not only was the movie incredible, but Cinépolis in Vista turned out to be a fantastic spot for a family outing. Right as you walk in, you're greeted by a bright, welcoming arcade loaded with games that appeal to kids of all ages. Past the arcade is the food lobby--clean, simple, and very easy to navigate. We grabbed our essential movie theater popcorn along with an ICEE (my son's personal favorite tradition). The auditorium itself was free of any sticky floors, and featured super comfortable reclining leather seats that made the entire viewing experience enjoyable. Some Family Fun Tips: Arrive Early for Arcade Fun: Give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes before showtime so the kids can run around and play in the arcade without rushing to your seats. Look Out for Special Discount Days: Keep an eye out for weekday family promotions (like discounted tickets or snack deals) to enjoy a high-end luxury theater experience on a budget. I would recommend arriving earlier than the start time so that you can look over the menu and decide what to order and not feel rushed about the movie starting. There's a QR code at every seat - you scan that and then submit your order through the website. As a rewards sign up bonus, I got a free ice cream churro (normally $12). That was really good. We also got the cauliflower bites with thai chili and I's recommend that as well. We were at screen #8. Do not sit in the first two rows (A & B). The angle is not right. We had to crane our necks to look up the actors' noses. Row C might be OK, but it's still at the same lower level as A & B. Starting at row D is where the seats are on a raised platform and you could see the screen eye level.

The theater itself is in desperate need of attention. The carpets were filthy, the walls throughout the building were dirty and while the bathrooms were clean, the entire place felt rundown and overdue for a deep cleaning. We were in Auditorium 2, and the A/C wasn't working at all, so everyone was sitting in a hot, humid theater for the entire movie. This doesn't feel like the luxury experience Cinepolis is known for. I don't blame the employees or management, they can only work with what they're given. The owner really needs to invest in maintaining this theater because it's fallen well below the standard people expect.

We chose to watch it here because it's a 3 hr movie and the chairs fully recline, so it was more comfortable. My husband's button worked and they came quickly after we pressed his. They have a decent menu, but I wish that they had some more candy options. My favorite is Junior Mints and it's not on the menu, sadly. I like coming here on occasion but they get 4 stars because they could really use some upgrades or refurbishing. On my last two visits within the same month, the AC was not working properly. During The Odyssey, I sat through nearly three hours as the theater continued to get warmer. With the humidity we've been experiencing in San Diego, it was extremely uncomfortable. The same issue occurred during a movie I saw three weeks earlier, and the visit before that as well. At this point, I'm not sure if the AC is actually broken or if Cinepolis is simply not prioritizing the repair. If you're planning to see a movie during these hot summer months, I'd recommend calling ahead to confirm the AC is working in your theater. And don't be fooled by the freezing lobby--the individual theaters can be a completely different story.

The Lot is very unique in that they not only serve as a movie theater, but have a full-service dinner and bar area as well. Adjoining ASA Bakery is also on-site, serving creative, too-pretty-to-eat pastries and matcha drinks. Honestly, the $24 price tag for a movie experience might seem steep, but other movies theaters are in and around that price anyways. At The Lot, at least you're getting comfortable, plush seats, a seemingly private viewing experience with your partner in your recline-ready love seat, food and drink wait service at your seat (if you desire it), and superb picture with okay enough sound. On that note, some cons: -We recently watched The Odyssey and some of the scenes were blaringly LOUD to the point where my ears felt like they could bleed. They do not divulge their sound system either, only that it's "high-end". The sound could definitely use better balance. -Mentioned love seats are very apparent upon booking now, making selection easy with no confusion. The theaters do cater to them so if you're in a group, you'll feel far from them. -Try as we might to pay in person, we could not avoid the service fee applied to all sales. Service fees are my biggest gripe, enough to teeter this rating. The atmosphere though is rather spectacular, so some things are to be ignored. -No true matinee prices unless you're a member. $20-22, otherwise, on Wednesday's for non-members.

Each visit (three separate occasions), something I've ordered was either forgotten or brought out very late. On this particular visit (Fri, July 3rd), I went to see a movie for my birthday. Unfortunately, due to public transportation, I was unable to make it to the theater as early as I wanted. My movie started @ 1:30, but I didn't make it inside until about 1:40 or so. The trailers were still playing, but the lights were off inside and the other guests seemed to already have their food/drinks. So, I attribute some of the mishap to that. However, there were less than ten people in the theater. So, keep that in mind as well. I ordered poke nachos, a popcorn, and a soda. Pretty simple order, right? My "host" brought out the popcorn + drink pretty swiftly. The popcorn tasted stale, just like another time I'd visited. Even though I'm pretty sure their 1:30 movies are their first showing. About halfway through the movie, I pressed the call button because I still hadn't received my nachos. The host said, "They might be ready now. Let me check." Translation: "I forgot them." That was pretty annoying. Especially as this is the third time something like this has occurred at The Lot. And I've only been three times in total. Luckily, the popcorn was free because it was my birthday, which I had to remind the host twice before he tried charging me. Do not order it unless you enjoy stale popcorn. The nachos and ginger ale were tasty, though. Overall, the vibe/setup is nice for viewing films. I only which the service and attention to detail was better.
