What an amazing theater! Tons of different rooms with many selections for movies. The prices on food and beverages are bit high in my opinion, but thats all theaters I feel. Last time I was here getting I don't remember having a great experience but this time was better. Seats are comfortable. I think the only small issue is the last two times the bathrooms haven't been super clean. That may be used to crowds but it took me awhile to find a stall with toilet paper and that seemed usable. But that could be to consumer error. It's my local theatre so I'll keep coming and I like how easy parking is in the garage and operations are easy. Hey friends! This theater is so nostalgic. I remember coming here as far back as middle school years. I came here for a Superman free screening. The movie itself, I enjoyed. We had to sit in one of the rows closer to the screen. My distaste was that those seats are plush but don't recline. Weird that only the rows higher up recline. The ICEE was just syrup. The popcorn was stale. Neither were appetizing and were a waste of money. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. I most likely will return as I enjoy Downtown Silver Spring. read more

I went to see the movie predator badlands here. The theater was very clean and comfortable. The security guards were present and friendly. There was only kiosk to buy your movie tickets. The seats did not recline in the theater I was in but there was cup holders. The theater smelled extremely pleasant. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well. Honestly the inside of the theater looks better than the outside. I could definitely see another movie here at this theater. read more

Oh my Goodness. My family and I come here often because it's convenient, has accessible parking and it's priced relatively reasonably. Now considering driving to Bethesda. They also have only 2 you g people staffing concessions and 3-4 random cleaners walking around looking at their phones. Hell this is one of my favorite movie theatres in Silver Spring, Maryland . This is The Regal Majestic Theatres . I font like the Credit card kiosks they dont work well like the ones in the Rockville location . I think its a waste of time without human interaction with communities that come there bt it shows great movies sometimes I like here . It has a lower lobby and it has a straight up.escalators that are tall geting to the next level area . Upstairs it has concession stands that hsve better human interactions but te team i saw was down to a skeleton crew and it looks like business is slow there . It has hallways to all the different movie area of your choice and clean bathrooms. Hospitality is good but could be better in ways to boost business . But its one of my favorite places . I used to come as a teen to young adult . Its been a long time since the pandemic. We weete all at fault for the wrongful and unjustifiable behaviors till trust can be rebuilt again . I wish they make job applications easier instead of difficult . They made it harder than it has to be . I tried and it kicked me out . But I loved watching the Epic Elvis movie . I enjoyd it . This Regal is clean, has a huge selection of movies, and is right around the corner from another theater that plays art films. (That's the AFI Silver.) Staff are friendly and helpful, and at my last visit, I got a set of glasses to show me closed captioning. I used accumulated points to pay for the small popcorn in the picture. It was overloaded, Jenga-style, which was fun to try to eat without spilling. If I could ask for any changes, I would request a separate ticket-selling counter so if someone is not getting concessions, they can buy a ticket more quickly. I didn't look to see whether I could use a kiosk, but signs didn't route me to that. Anyhow, I'm sure that I'll be back soon! read more

I came here for a free screening and didn't get anything from concessions. I cannot speak to the prices or quality of the refreshments, but this location was updated and clean. The seats recline and you can easily change the angle of your seat at any point. The staff who checked our tickets were kind and efficient and helped point us in the correct location of the theater. I found the theater to be clean both outside and inside of the specific theater number we were at. The temperature was really comfortable and I did not find myself freezing inside for once. read more

Thanks to Yelp, I was able to score two free advanced screening tickets to see "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire." After a long day at work, we ventured from Baltimore to Silver Spring. The overall drive wasn't bad, parking was accessible, and the theater was easy to find. Theater was clean and exxxxxxtra roomy. Regal Majestic is truly massive. MASSIVE. Concession line could use some work, especially the staff. Each staff member seemed to hate their job. No one responded to our mannerisms. No "hi," "thank you," or "have a good one." Ordered a large popcorn (because movie popcorn is the BEST popcorn) in which I had to pull out hair strands twice from my mouth--disgusting. Movie setup was nice. Extra space, comfy seating, and a good crowd. Could have done without the babies and children 4 and under--maybe have a family kid-friendly advanced screening? The fam and I went to the Regal in silver springs to see little mermaid. Yes we are all adults but yes we enjoyed it lol. This was my first time at the regal and I must say I enjoyed myself. It is in downtown silver spring which is a whole vibe in itself. The regal is a large two story building with several theaters. I don't remember how many. The seating is stadium tiered style. The area was clean. Looks like the crew does a decent job cleaning up between audiences and the chairs were comfy. The only con was they didn't recline at least it didn't for me. The best thing about this theater is the reclining seats. They only serve Pepsi products that are ridiculously high priced and the employees move super slow. Bottled water was about $7. This is the most convenient theater for non-independent blockbuster films for me as it is short walking distance. They also have one of a few IMAXs in the area which is a nice option to have which I have utilized for an extra ten bucks (when it is 3D as well).I remember going here and feeling ripped off when the seats were old and non-reclining, but they have since upgraded to more comfortable reclining seats and the prices have remained the same. Due to my hearing loss, I utilize the captioning devices and they usually work and when they do not, I get readmit passes for me and sometimes whoever I am with. The big reason I will not give 5 stars, is it takes a few minute for a manager to get to guest services to help with various things including getting a captioning device. Luckily one of our friends who still works in a movie theater in Wisconsin despite being employed by the federal government, keeps giving us movie passes and gift cards. Hence, we can see many of the movies for free. We love to support our local theaters they were closed for nearly a year in Montgomery County. My wife also loves anime and we have seen two of them with the gift cards due to the no pass rule: Josee, the Tiger, and the Fish which is a disability themed anime that we totally recommend and My Neighbor Totoro. read more

The theater itself was dirty and smelled like they'd tried, though not hard, to clean up vomit. One of the seats we reserved had a sticky stain/spill on it. Thankfully it was a nearly empty showing so we moved over. The armrest of the next set of seats was broken and the (faux) leather was nearly completely rubbed off. Moreover, the movie start time was listed as 1:30. Previews didn't even begin until nearly 1:45 and the movie itself didn't begin until 2 pm. That's ridiculous. This is the second time I have come to this theater (Regal Majestic-Silver Spring, MD) and had to leave because of a rodent problem. I could not enjoy the movie. The first time I had to leave, the mice were chasing each around on the floor level. So, last month I tried again and I sat another level up, and one raced down the steps close to the seat I was sitting (end row). I left again and requested a refund. In times like this, when you are trying to draw people back to the theater, do you think they want to come and have to deal with this? I wasn't going to write, but I have to because this is ridiculous. EXTERMINATE THE THEATER, PLEASE! I wrote the corporate office also about this problem. read more

Great theater in the center of downtown Silver Spring, MD. This is my first time back in a theater since the pandemic and it feels great. The Regal majestic is my "go to" theater and one of my favorites in the DMV! I always enjoy checking out movies here. This movie theater complex is very accommodating and never overwhelmingly crowded like many around the city. My favorite thing about this theater is reserved seating and the comfortable, CLEAN "Captain Reclining Chairs." They are well spaced and you don't feel cramp. This cineplex has an IMAX theater as well which is great for viewing action flicks and blockbusters. There's also a huge concession stand area for ordering food and drinks. Typical moviegoer fare and prices. The service is average, but fast. Sorry, no bar at this time but I hope they will install one soon. :-) Overall, you can't go wrong with this theater....It's conveniently located around a shopping district full of restaurants and nightlife. My favorite thing about this theater is reserved seating. Also, it is very accessible both by car and the DC Metro subway is nearby. Street parking can be a little bit of a challenge, but there are parking garages across the street nearby that are $FREE.99 on the weekends. **NOTE: As of 11/4/2021 Masks are required inside. For those concerned about crowding, I've been there twice this week alone for big movies and it hasn't been to crowded at any of the times I was there. read more

Being part of Regal Unlimited has been interesting during a pandemic. Originally I bought a year long membership during a Black Friday sale in 2020 but as cinemas shut down due to Covid-19 not sure how much longer my membership will last. After being fully vaccinated I have gone to see a couple of movies. I accumulated enough points for a free drink and popcorn last time which was nice. Previously it did seem like Regal tried to enforce spacing between seats amongst strangers but last time I went that policy seems to have been relaxed. With the Delta variant it seems like they are mandating masks indoors but for a while before then if you were vaccinated you didn't need a mask. read more

This theater is OK, but the design is a little off. Since they have converted to the reclining chairs, it is not easy to see the screen. For some reason, they decided to build up walls in front of each row. If you recline your seat all the way back, you are not able to see the bottom of the screen. Also, they only sell Pepsi products and not Coke. Major turn off for me. read more

Regal Majestic is nestled in downtown Silver Spring. It's surrounded by restaurants, retail stores and amble parking along the street or parking garages. The bottom half is a line of ticket windows. When you make your way upstairs, you'll find the concession stand and entrance to the theaters. If you're a regal member, you can order food, drinks and snacks; on the app. The pick up location is located closest to the wall; you'll see a sign for mobile pick up. The staff is friendly and quick. So don't fret if you see a long line at the concession counter. The theater is comfy and clean; no complaints from what I've observed. Overall I like this theater. Catch a movie on the weekend to unwind from work or during the weekday to break the work week up. Perhaps take a day off during the week and enjoy a movie during the week or if that fits your schedule. Either way, you'll enjoy this location. read more

I visit Regal Majestic to see a movie premiere yesterday and here are my thoughts on the Theater. First let me say it's an Old theater building, so if you're looking for a lot of the amenities and dinning the newer theaters provide you are not going to get that here. However, the seats have been updated so they do have the recliner chairs Regal's are know for and this location does have an IMAX theater room for those that love their IMAX experience. The theater was was clean, large in size with lots of seating. The concession offered all the general fares of a movie theater so you can enjoy the popcorn movie theaters are known for. As for me... The best part of this theater is it's location. It's located in downtown Silver Spring, which has plenty of dinning and shopping in the area that you can plan your movie around. When my movie got out at 9:10 pm and I was heading back towards my car, the liveliness of the downtown streets made me want to stay and hang out a little longer.... I live in Gaithersburg so I don't frequent Silver Spring much but now that I have gotten a little taste of an evening in Silver Spring: I see all the places I must explore! I saw two different mice in the theater today! They came from under the seat next to me. They are clearly use to people and noise because as soon as the movie started/light went down, I saw the first one come out. I jumped and was on high alert. (I didn't leave after seeing the first one because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.) I kept looking at the same spot and screamed to my friend that there's a mouse. He saw it too. First the conseession stand is ridiculous. People cut the line and the cashiers say nothing or don't notice like they don't k own where the line begins. It was difficult to see exactly what size popcorn you're buying and the cashier didn't want to open her mouth to answer my questions. The slurpee machines are not working. To top it off I got to my seat an a mouse ran across the floor. I've lost my appetite for the popcorn I just purchased. From beginning to end there was terrible experience and terrible customer service. The associate who took my food and drink order had an attitude. I had ot ask if he had a bad day or something and that I hoped it got better for him because clearly everything was going wrong. Me just walking up to ask for a medium popcorn and popcorn salt was an annoyance. He asked if I wanted butter on the popcorn and I said sure a little is fine. He let a single drop of butter come out and took the popcorn bag back and I had to look at him like are you serious? You can do a little more. Whatever yall doing to this work he is stressed. Anywho, I sat down in the theatre and people were talking loudly next to me so I moved down to an open seat near the first floor. A man came in halfway through the movie and sat in another seat on the 1st row. He seemed like he was drunk or on drugs because he kept blowing out and deep sighing loudly. He even stood up in the space between the handicapped seat and my seat and started licking his hands and rubbing them on the wall up and down. Yes, it was insane. I immediately walked out and and went to let the employees at customer service know what happened and guess what, he was reluctant to help. I told him that I will not be returning to the movie because I'm currently out here communicating these issues instead of watching the move so I'd love a refund or voucher. While processing the the voucher for the next movie he says "I really shouldn't be giving you anything" and I responded that it was unnecessary to say that especially after I explained what was going on and the voucher was the bare minimum of what you should be doing but I''m going to be nice and you really can keep the voucher because I was never coming back here anyway. I have ambivalent feelings about this theater. It was fun while it lasted as a kid and then as years go by, there's some staff that seemed so unhappy every time my friends and I go. Now don't get me wrong, the theater rooms are great to sit back and relax. Another thing too I noticed is that some of the bathroom stalls have broken locks where you can't lock it in and out. In other words, they removed the locks. Not all stalls, but some. Had they fixed that problem and had better staffing, I probably would've given this 4 stars, lol! read more

Although Regal isn't my favorite movie theater, the Silver Spring location is definitely closest to my house and has been the hang out spot for me for several years. There's a large parking garage right across the street from the theater with several parking lots around the area. It's generally free of charge I believe some time in the evening. The reason I gave a rating of 3 stars is simply because of the atmosphere in down-town and the pricing on movie tickets. There's a lot of loud, young teens and children roaming around the area and homeless people surrounding the theater. I wouldn't recommend attending this location for someone going on a date. Instead, it feels more like a place where a group of friends can hang out together. Also, I noticed that the ticket pricing in this theater is about $3 more expensive compared to other locations with similar quality. What I do like about Majestic is the fact that it's quite large and their screen sizes are bigger than others. Staff is friendly and attentive and bathrooms are usually clean. I went on Friday (Opening night) to see the movie "Hustlers" with 2 of my best friends and we had a great experience. I reserved our seats ahead of time, they were easy to find and the reclinable chairs were super comfortable for all of us.
