This is a cozy old-fashioned theater in the Greenbelt area! The tickets were cheap and the concession stand was enticing. The theater was filled with locals, which is always a good sign. The seats are "old-fashioned" (i.e. not the most comfortable) and the Screen 2 theater was cozy. The sound system and the projection system were good. I recommend a visit.

The cutest local theater that I did not know was hidden nearby! I had a chance to go to a screening of Twilight: New Moon and was pleasantly surprised by the kind and welcoming staff, affordable prices, and general positive vibes we felt during the trivia game before the screening. Let's keep local cinemas alive!

Old Greenbelt Theatre transports you back in time with its original design and old school feel (in a good way). The theater was recently renovated but I'm glad that they maintained the integrity of the building. It's a one-room theater movie house but the room is pretty large and so is the screen. The seats were okay and I had no problem seeing the screen (we were close to the back and seated in the center). I can't speak on the concession stand or the bathroom but I'm sure those are just as fine too. I really like indie films and documentaries (I came here to see 'Eye in the Sky') and while I love E Street, it's good to know that I don't have to go into DC to see such films--I can see them right here in Prince George's County. If you like a theater with character and charm, and want a break from the ubiquitous movie theater chains that we've grown accustom to seeing, give Old Greenbelt Theatre a try, I think you'll like it.

Amazing independent theater. Prices are more affordable than chain and service is much better. Looking forward to returning.

It's a cute little cinema, not too expensive, and they show unique films. I'd recommend it.

Great movies, fairly priced. FYI, no cup holders! But you're an adult so I'm not worried about your enjoyment without them.

"It's goes way back to something roughly translated as 'The Wild Hunt.'" Nick points out, "We can't find [the killers]. We got no prints, no I.D., no record of where they came from..." "That's what I'm trying to tell you," Monroe interjects. "You don't have to find them. According to legend, the first thing you hear is terrible thunder and howling wind, as if the [ferocious wildesheer, also known as caccia morta] are being blown right out of hell." "Not so encouraging..." "They're hunters," Monroe continues, "and their life's blood is built upon killing powerful warriors; and it just so happens that the Grimm is, like, the post powerful warrior of all." "You think they know about me?" "I think it's no coincidence they're in Portland...listen, the most important thing is they will be coming after you...so what we can do is pick where [the fight] happens...and I highly suggest that's not my house." Although, lucky for us Marylanders, picking a theater for where to watch movies is not close to being a life-and-death matter, as choosing where to fight the caccia morta is for Nick and Monroe, it is still ideal to find a space that offers supremely comfortable reclining chairs with cupholders, that isn't attached to a mall or exists in the heart of a downtown metropolis, and that is less likely to have every screening jam-packed seat-to-seat with screaming kids, teenagers on their cell phones, and influencers more concerned with exuberantly filming themselves than silently watching and enjoying each film. For all of those reasons and more, my friends and I choose the AMC Center Park 8 Theatre on 4001 Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville.

Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips were both terrific. The one we voted for did indeed win, but they were both great! The Saturday we were there, there were two performances. We chose the 5pm one. It's a fast-paced show that kept us laughing, intrigued and highly entertained. A very fun, wonderful way to spend entertainment dollars in DC. Not a bad seat in the house! This is downstairs in the historic Mayflower Hotel, nice and close to the Farragut North Metro Stop. Definitely appropriate for all ages. Highly recommend!

I recognize that the Magic Duel takes huge pride in 5 star reviews on Yelp, which I deeply respect. But I did wish that we had seen the show in a different venue. I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician. After some quick research, you will end up at Magic Duel in this genre, so please go to Dupont or Georgetown.
