My husband & I came here to see Primetime Fri 9/25 around 2pm. Parking was quick and easy in the free dirty parking garage. We bought my ticket $10.19 senior price. My husband is an A24 member, so his was free. My husband asked the 2 emps who was checking tickets. One guy pointed to the other and said "him", but neither of them did. We proceeded to theater #2 but decided to sit up higher due to the previous issues we had last time. There were a lot more people this time, so we found our seats & sat down in the very slender fabric cushioned seats with a stiff fabric covered metal back. Once the 30 mins of TV commercials & a few trailers ended the movie finally started. A person came in and sat right behind me and proceeded to eat popcorn loudly which was quite annoying, and the movie was pretty quite most of the time. The A/C kicked on/off several times, but didn't seem to bother me as much this time, so maybe they actually changed the filters. I did use the women's restroom which was fairly clean, & the old hard water stains were gone, so it appears someone must be reading these reviews, which is wonderful. I was lucky to be able to use the handicapped stall since the other stalls are way too small, and I'm not a big person at all. read more

Absolutely unbelievable- they are now running Spider-Man on FOUR screens but only ONE 3D showing per day with 18 showings in lousy 2D!The past few months they've been showing plenty of other 3D movies with one or fewer 3D showings. They have four screens equipped with 3D, it makes NO sense to run 2D on a 3D-equipped screen! read more

Oh my goodness this movie theater is what I would imagine a horror movie to be filmed in haha! Very old school- nothing wrong with that but the vibes are what gives me that eerie feeling. When you walk in the popcorn smell takes over the place and you'd think it's the best popcorn you're about to have, unfortunately it's nothing like what it smells like. The pretzel was also pretty terrible. But at least finding your theater is so easy since there is only about 5 rooms! read more

This place just feels extremely unwelcoming and doesn't feel like a good time. Just went in after my final exam to catch a movie and felt like everyone in the movie theater was sniffing me up and down and judging me. Felt very uncomfortable watching the movie, and had to unfortunately get up and leave in the middle of the movie. Kind of a terrible experience. read more

Small cute theater This has to be the smallest theater I've been in. Nevertheless the movie was amazing! Minus the family in the back talking on the phone, talking to each other and wiggling around. Staff were super sweet and the experience was good. Definitely will be back! read more

The worst experience with this location they have the worst customer service at the concession, I believe he was the manager that was helping us and training one of this employee. We were slightly confused about one of our orders because the advertisement was very much misleading. The manager I assumed since he was the only one wearing different uniform was so rude and has no patience. After finishing our transaction we overheard him saying to the employee "see customers like that exactly what I'm saying" I really don't want a refund or anything but please train your employees the right way. read more

This place is nostalgic and it's crazy that it's almost exactly the same as it was in the 90s. You have to know going in that it's not updated nor fancy. But! It's clean and you can space out in the theater and they have lots of snacks. The workers are really nice! That said, the speakers could use some upgrades or repairs. Saw Wuthering Heights in theater 6 and the sound seemed off- like too tinny and almost unlistenable at points because it was so sharp. Would be great if the tech gets slight upgrades even if the rest of the theater stays basic. read more

This has always been my go-to theater in Davis. It's really easy to get to while walking downtown but there is a good parking garage above the theater as well. The entrance to the theater is always quite warm, but at least the theaters themselves are cooler and comfortable. The seats themselves aren't great but definitely good enough to sit through a movie for. read more

It would really be great if a clean and well kept movie theatre with marginally attentive help existed in my home town. Unfortunately, Regal doesn't fit the bill. It's dirty and run by young people who don't care. read more

Clean and nice staff. I understand the complaints about the chairs because it's not the large recliners that a lot of theaters have (or the food service that comes to your seat). As long as you don't expect that it's super clean and comfortable. Also the prices are cheaper than those theaters so definitely worth the cost. read more

Regal Davis Holiday - Row of seating - Cinema Near Me - Davis, California

Hard to rate. The service here is great and the people super nice. The ambiance or theater is old and nothing like the new movie theaters. But... it is nostalgic. The place is really clean and well taken care of. It reminds me of the theaters from 30 years ago. I give four stars because the people are really friendly and professional. And they keep this place nice and clean. It's first come first serve so you can't buy seats ahead and pick your seat. They have a good concession stand and selection of drinks snacks and popcorn. It is pricey for what you get. Prices should be lower And maybe upgrading one of the theaters to lounge chairs?? Would have been 2-3 stars if it wasn't for the service and clean theater. Aloha! read more

WOW FACTOR? No, just the opposite. I've seen two movies here over the last month and both had 30 minutes of ads, previews, ad and more previews. 30 minutes after the supposedly start time for the movie? Unacceptable. 10 minutes is ok. 15 minutes is too much. 30 minutes? Time to go elsewhere to see movies. read more

The manager, Alfredo, was a real MVP at Davis Regal. To try and promote the business more, he offered me and my boyfriend free tickets, not only that, but he also covered our drinks and popcorn!! It was such a nice surprise and something that I do not take for granted, especially during these hard times. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the theater, the snacks they had to offer, and even the small arcade room! He truly went above and beyond, and I am happy to say, they have a fan for life at this cinema! Thank you, Alfredo. I will definitely be back, and Davis Regal is lucky to have managers like you!! read more

Nostalgic and reminds me of long ago movie theaters BUT needs some improvements. Air conditioning should be their first priority. The theater rooms are warm. Seats are more narrow so you might be sitting elbow to elbow with the next person. Apple Pay or any electronic payments aren't taken. Only cash or your physical card. The WiFi connection isn't that great when you walk through the door. Staff isn't that welcoming. I definitely get why they have "clearance days" where the movies are cheap. It's helping to bring in people. Not sure how much longer this place will be open without improvements that make it more nice, comfortable and convenient for their customers. Not sure if I'd come back here or not. Leaning towards no. Sitting in a warm theater isn't really an enjoyable movie experience. read more

1 movie preview and 16 minutes of advertisements! Regal has destroyed the movie experience. Such a shame. read more

The previews and adds at the beginning of Jurassic World were absolutely absurdly long. Thirty minutes of adds. 30!!!! This is unacceptable. We paid money for the MOVIE, not the adds. read more

This movie theatre is very small and outdated. The seats are uncomfortable because it doesn't have a head rest. Definitely no recliners. You can buy tickets in advance but cannot reserve seats so you'll need to come early. I bought a pretzel and it was the worst I've ever had. Also watched them microwave it to warm it up. read more

I visited Regal Theaters today and found the associates to be very kind. The movie Wicked was great, but the seating was outdated and uncomfortable, particularly for larger individuals. Given that it's almost 2025, I expected them to have updated seating similar to other movie theaters in the area. However, I enjoyed the soda and chips with cheese, and the bathrooms and theater were very clean. read more

80 degrees outside, at least 90 in the auditorium that I was in. Claustrophobic, uncomfortable seating. First time ever that I have walked out of a movie - a movie I was initially excited to see. read more

Being the only other theater in Davis, I suppose you can't complain much. However, this is a very small and outdated theater. For the price of a ticket, you'd think it was a little more modern. On the bright side, it's been clean all the times I've visited. Another upside is that there is garage parking above and staff is generally friendly. I'm not motivated enough to drive to Sacramento for better quality theater, but it'd be nice to have a decent theater in Davis. read more

I will admit that out of the two Regal Theaters in Davis this one tends to be a little less desirable in terms of seating, theatre size, and general atmosphere. But - I have come to prefer the Regal Holiday due to the fact that in pandemic times such as these the showings of less popular or older movies here often come with a theatre to yourself! Recently I saw Reminiscence here a few weeks after it opened and there was not another soul in sight - just me, Hugh Jackman, and my small popcorn. And while I can't speak to the price of tickets here (I'm a Regal Unlimited card holder), I can say that the concessions are just as expensive as any other big name movie theatre in the world. So overall, given the circumstances, I think Regal Davis Holiday may be a better option than at first glance nowadays. read more

Nice theatre, seats are a little uncomfy. Also don't think there needs to be 30 mins of trailers and commercials. Employees talking very loudly during movies can be a bit distracting and unprofessional. Besides that it serves its purpose well. Cool theatre. Snacks and drinks WAY overpriced. Bring your own, read more

This theater is alright. The seats are placed on a slope, so there are no stairs to go up or down when you enter. I always sit in the back because I feel like I will strain my neck so badly if I sit in the front. It feels kind of old in comparison to other movie theaters I have visited. The movie screen size is still relatively big though, and the sound is not bad at all. I seriously only go to this theater because it's in Davis, and I am too lazy to drive over to the next city. Also, I really like how there's a parking structure right next to it because finding parking sometimes can be a struggle. Would this be my first choice movie theater? Not really... But it's convenient and more empty at least than other theaters (especially important to me during COVID times). I will still come here because again, I am too lazy to drive a little further. They also have a student discount, which is nice as a broke college student. read more

I recently saw the new hunger games here and it was so hot and muggy in the theater. Everyone ran out after the move complaining how hot and uncomfortable it was. Also as someone else mentioned the previews are terrible. I will not be seeing another movie here. read more

Actually the rudest employees I've ever interacted with for no reason. We wanted to see a movie and they wouldn't let us without an ID, despite us clearly all being adults. We offered to show photos, showed student ids, etc, but they refused. I wasn't aware regal cinemas had stricter id requirements than most bars in Davis. She also laughed at us when we tried to provide a solution. Probably the meanest customer service interaction I've ever had, me and my friends left the theater in shock that the staff were so rude. They also laughed at us when we tried to be polite and offer a solution, and unnecessarily strict about almost everything. Don't waste your time. read more

Happened to come here to watch a movie when visiting a friend at UC Davis. Movie theater is kind of old but cute and cozy. Seats are not super comfortable but again it's a movie theater in a small town. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I like the whole vibe and benches outside are very cute. read more

No air conditioning, my friends and I felt like we were being cooked alive. The screen for some reason also didn't look very clean, and the bathrooms were kinda gross. I feel like they should charge less if they're not gonna be spending money on air conditioning in the theaters, but oh well. read more

The worst experience EVER! The guy told me it was an inconvenience for them to make me a pretzel and pop corn because they didn't have anymore and it wasn't busy for them to make it. A full room 3 for the movie Barbie. Sadly the air conditioning wasn't working. The theater was so hot inside. Felt like it was over 90. They should have offered everyone a future free movie pass. read more

The theatre was not cool at all. On a hot day I expected to at least be sitting in a nice cool theater.

Old theater. Charges a premium for a not-so-premium experience. Not a huge place- I didn't have to walk down a number of hallways to find the showing. p.s. lady in front of me (it filled up sparsely eventually)- while it's nice that you tried to hide your texting mid-show, your smartphone gave off an awesome halo of light which was annoying. Regal Davis Holiday - "Let's all go to the lobby! Let's all go to the lobby!" - Cinema Near Me - Davis, California

If I could give zero stars I would. Buyer beware...we pre-purchased tickets to see a movie (for a group of people). When we got to the theater they were closed due to a power outage that had ended hours earlier. When I went to get my money back for the tickets they were unable to give me my money back as I did not cancel them the day of the show. I asked how I could have returned them when they were closed. They gave me readmission tickets that are only good for 30 days and told me that I would need to talk to their corporate offices. I contacted the corporate offices and they told me that since I did not are for a refund 1 hour prior to the movie there is nothing they can do. I asked how can I do that if the theater is closed? Lesson learned...do not pre-buy tickets from Regal! read more

Currently sitting in the movie theatre sipping on my overpriced drink watching Jurassic World . Just awesome when some dumbass employee opens the door to the auditorium every 5 mins for no apparent reason. Then proceeds to fumble keys trying to get into the utility closet while in the middle of the movie . Like wouldn't there be a better time for that . It's actually quite irritating . You come to watch a movie in a quiet setting just to hear little oddball noises from employees that's really not necessary or good timing. read more

Tried to beat the triple digit temperatures and go see Oppenheimer. Of course the theatre was packed, no surprise there. But what was more disappointing and borderline dangerous was how HOT it was inside the theatre. It did not feel like the AC was on or it maybe it was broken. The workers were nice and the place was clean and welcoming. But I'm deeply frustrated by the decision to run 10 minutes of commercials (not movie trailers) at the advertised showtime start. Of course watching 10-15 minutes of movie trailers---with a soft drink or snack ad dropped in every once in a while---is totally common. But 10 minutes of pure TV-style commercials followed by 15 more minutes of trailers is bananas. I'll be headed to the Varsity/Woodland/Sac next time. read more

First time at this theater and my first impression is that it's quit small compared to other regal theaters. Before we could even make it inside we had to find parking. Whhich took about 20 minutes on a Friday night. The parking structure on top of the theater was packed and the parking lot near the theater was overflowing as well. When we finally found parking several streets over, we were directed to go inside to purchase tickets at the concession stand. No biggie plus it got us out of the cold. It was only innside that I realized that its a little on dated side. It reminded me of cinemas from the 90s. Unlike other regal cinemas this location only have six theaters. The theater that we were in seemed like it had a curved screen. Idk, or it could be that it seemed curved that we were sitting so close to the screen. I would go back to this location again only if it was during a week day to avoid the weekend rush. read more
