I called in the order a few days ahead, they were super nice on the phone, helped me decide on how to order for 12 and gave me a discount on the queso birrias since I ordered quite a few. They had everything ready when I came in the restaurant to pick up and were a pleasure to talk with. My customers were thrilled with their food. The quesabirrias were so tasty, and the red and green sauces were great! Each had a nice kick to them. I also recommend the tacos. Put some of the red sauce on it and you're good to go!

The owner came out, greeted us, answered our questions about the menu, and the food came out very quickly. While this is more of a no-frills location with not much decoration, the food and value makes this easily a 5 star review for me. El Tostaco Regio does not serve typical Mexican cuisine. Their food is what you would find served on the streets of Mexico. So there's no refried beans, rice or a queso plate here. Most of their dishes comes with beans and a cup of broth. Their food is served fresh, but messy. Everything they make is packed with flavor, but not overpowered by spices. The tables have three complimentary sauces you can try with your dishes. If your other party is not in the mood for Mexican, El Tostaco Regio also have burgers and baked potatoes. Their menu is bilingual, thankfully. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are affordable. I will say that their AC system could've been better, considering we're in Summer now. They only have only bathroom. Aside from a TV playing Latino music, there's no decor inside at all. My major issue is that El Tostaco Regio is NOT wheelchair accessible. That's completely unacceptable!

It's become a rite of passage for street food loving folks, which is often the case for aa lunch time snack or a late night . While I can't say I was impressed with everything I had, I am pleased it was all simple and affordable. The first thing is the corn, which in this case is elote (on the cob) or elote en vaso (#2), which is served in a syrofoam cup. The condiments are self serve, so the toppings are as up to the customer. I personally likes of lime, cotija chese, chile powder, and a nice slab of butter. Some of my corn pieces in both the cob and cup version were a tinge dry, but it was enjoyable as a whole. Their Mexican style hot dog is likely the best thing they have. Wrapped in bacon and decked out in a myriad of peppers, onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, and sauces, it is a hefty dog for less than $5. There is a smaller sausage version for kids, but it's rarely available. They also have fajita tacos for $2 each. There are no other meats available, but the portions are very generous. Sadly, the tacos were average at best and the salsa verde was underwhelming. i also didn't appreciate the old limes that were just thrown into the bag without being separated in its own. Spanish is preferred and this is a cash only business. Seating options are zero, so plan to eat this on the small counter space on the spot, or back in the car for a takeout / take home date. This would be an excellent option for a casual lunch or a snack in the near-wee hours of the evening. __________ (#1) Tacos, mainly. (#2) Known in other circles as "esquite."
