Great staff but sleazy billing practices not only in Poland, but New Castle as well (daughter lives in New Castle). Just filed a Medicare fraud complaint with Medicare since the corporate office never responded to my issues with double billing. Has crowns done in 2022 and the insurance I has paid the bill. Yet they billed my new Medicare Advantage plan and have tried to shake me down for $192 co-pay. The bill was paid in full!!! I'm sure that many senior citizens are intimidated by their constant bills to end up paying what they may not even owe!!! BEWARE!!! read more

Stay far away from this place!!! The staff is completely incompetent and so disorganized that it's actually hard to watch in the waiting room. The front desk girl made up policies and when I challenged them she'd disappear to the back. I over heard walk to the back, talk to a lady that actually knew what she was doing and tell her that she was wrong.... Then she returned to the front desk and said that they could make an exception for me.... I've never experienced something so painful in my life and I didn't even get to see a dentist. read more

Beware!!! I went there a few years ago for dental work. I was quoted a price for it so agreed. Next thing I know I owe $400 more. Made numerous phone calls and even stopped in a couple of times to talk to someone. The phone calls were never returned and every time I went there in person there was a different office manager who conveniently was unavailable. The dental work was also unacceptable, so I ended up going elsewhere to get it straightened out. Now 4 years later, I am turned over for collection! Go figure. Called the office again and no answer. Left message and no return phone call. I would definitely NOT recommend Refresh in Poland, OH for any person or even your dog!! Funny that I have talked to a few other people who have had similar experiences. I guess you have to live and learn, and I definitely learned the hard way. Does not deserve 1 star, but that is the lowest I can rate them. I also did file with the BBB on them. read more

This is the most unprofessional dental office I've ever been to. The staff talks bad about each other and the dentist??? Is he a dentist? He run in and out of each room so quick and in a hurry. He has no bedside manner at all. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! He ripped my tooth out and ran out of the room no after care, no wash up, nothing! Leaving with blood all over me. I was extremely disappointed with Refresh Dental. Tried them for the first time and will not be back. Visited yesterday for a routine check up and cleaning. Doctor came in really fast. He was in the room for less than a minute. I scheduled to go back the following day to have a cavity filled. I asked how long it would take and was told an hour. It ended up taking 3 hours. They had to numb me twice. I did not feel that I was in good hands. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. read more

These people don't even deserve one star. Was supposed to have a composite filling replaced. First foreign dentist gave novacaine and never returned. Left me in chair over 2 hours until novacaine wore off. A second dentist came in and had to give novacaine again. He drilled WRONG tooth, destroying a porcelain onlay on my molar, causing me months of agonizing pain and infection. They refused to correct their mistake, leaving me to have to pay for root canal and now have to scrape up money for a crown. I am disabled from cancer and this was a horrible experience. read more

Very Unorganized office. I have been calling for months and every time I call, I'm told their computers "JUST" shut down and that they will call me back in the morning and NEVER do. They have messed up a crown 4 times. The girl in charge of sending and receiving from the labs is very rude and careless. The last time I came in, the dentist apologized for his dental assistant and told me he will need to take a 3RD casting of my temporary crown because they have the wrong crown yet again. So I allowed him too and while he was "struggling" to get the temporary crown off, he CRACKED and loosened my PERMANENT crown on the tooth next to it. I've called to try to get this straightened out but this office will not take accountability and they are missing my permanent crown AGAIN. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This Dentist should NOT be a dentist. He has no passion for his work and not through. read more

I have cancelled my appointment and will NOT go back to Refresh Dental in Poland, Ohio. I had gone there for a couple of years for my semi-annual checkup and they continue to disappoint. I had an appointment that I needed to reschedule but 90% of the time they do not answer their phone and although I called twice and left two voicemails they had not called me back 24 hours later. This is not the first time this has happened. I have never seen the same person twice while visiting here. Different receptionist, different hygienist, different dentist. When I first signed up, I got a special promotion of teeth-whitening kits for life but every time they conveniently "forget" to give me new kits. I ask about it, they look at my chart (which was in front of them the whole time), and then they apologize and give me two kits for the next 6 months. Every time. I would not recommend this site to anyone. read more
