I tried everything, including Rmt, Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, acupuncture, personal trainer etc. After a year of 3x a week Pilates with my certified Physio +, i just wasn't making enough progress and I was in far too much pain. The amount of body knowledge and strength I gained at Boditree after 3x a week for 1x month far eclipsed my year with my Physio on the same equipment. I cannot thank this dedicated team or recommend them enough! Well worth the investment.

Class size is also smaller than other studios with a maximum of 6 ppl per class. Rather than the regular reformer class I recommend their chair and tower class, there aren't a lot of studios that offer that in the city. I can physically feel my spine lengthen and is also helps alleviate my scoliosis but again if you have any pains pls do tell your instructor beforehand!

The studio is upstairs in what seems like an office type building. The environment is very trendy spa. They have some cool felted lamps. The facilities include two change rooms and some lockers that use key cards, which are provided by reception for free. There's several taps for water bottle refills, but no showers and no bathrooms, which is a bit strange. After putting away any items in the lockers, everyone waits in the reception on a couple of wooden benches for the instructor. The studio itself has huge windows so is very bright. It does have an open concept layout, which was weird because during the class, we could see and hear people not in the class discussing something in the hall. It seems like this place also offers massage therapy and physio. Veema was the instructor and she was super nice. She gave us an orientation to the machines and equipment before the class began. During the class, her instructions were very clear and she moved around the room, correcting people's form. The moves did seem progressive and then we did some stretches to close out the class.

This barre location has a big studio. It's carpeted, which makes it nice and soft, but also a bit…read moreweird for a gym where people sweat. They have fans going for temperature control, although I imagine if you are on the side of the studio where you are in the sun, it probably gets warm fast. They has two instructors at the open house class, which I tried, Kristin and Connie. This was kind of nice because it meant there was always one instructor free to correct people's form. Everyone working here was friendly. I found the method here was more like pilates than other barre classes. The class used lots of equipment and it was all provided (mats, ball, bands, weights, cushions). A nice touch is that towels were provided for working out. There are showers but only one washroom. The locker area is pretty small and there ends up being a bit of a line to change/access them. Since I attended an open house, they had a clothing pop up, mini facials and fresh juice. Epsom salts were given after the class to newbies and a one month deal. Newbies also were strategically placed between people with previous experience at the studio so there was a lot of thought put into making the experience good. Staff and instructors made sure to introduce themselves to newbies and to watch them during classes to provide extra assistance. They also checked in after the class ended. The negatives are that there is a dress code for this studio that includes no shorts and no midriff showing. I appreciate that this policy applies to all genders, but it is also a bit much, especially the shorts part and not great if you overheat easily. It is also a bit comtrary to body positivity. Another thing to note is that there is no instructor doing the moves with you so it is hard to follow if you are a visual person. The instructions are all verbal and that can be tricky.

This morning, I showed up to a 7:15 a.m. class to learn I'd accidentally registered for class the day before. Busy, working, single mom, mistakes happen. I was told, no problem, there is a spot in the class available - that will just be $37! When there is an empty space and I missed my class and I pay for a membership and already booked and paid for an extra class this week on top of my membership. I've taken over 500 classes with this studio and they'd rather let the class have an empty spot then let a loyal customer make up a class she's showed up to take. It just feels like a kick in the face every time I interact with reception. It's a great workout and two blocks from my house. But I just cannot continue to support a business that treats its customers so badly.

She is trained to level 3 Pilates, which outclasses my humble Pilates Mat Level 1. Her studio has specialty equipment like the Pilates reformer and the Cadillac, along with the padded mats. There is nowhere to hide in a crowd, like some studios, so you are guaranteed to get the instruction (and results) that you came for. I had the privilege of one-to-one training as well as training with a local group of triathletes. While that workout caught my attention, I also noticed that my right hip (that I had injured in a motorcycle accident) stopped clicking and my lower back stiffness took a holiday. Note: Most of the parking is taken up by the Fitness World, so you are better off parking on the road near the White Spot.
