Do not take your equipment to this shop. I had a 2000.00 DR tow behind lawn leaf vacuum that had a safety recall. Reeves was the only authorized DR repair agency close. The recall was to replace an incorrect bolt and washer. I took it to Reeves. I didn't hear from them for a month and they don't call back when you leave messages. i went up to the shop after one month and he said they just got the bolt and washer from DR and he would have my machine ready in a week. One month later I went back up to his shop to check the status of my machine and he walked me outside and pointed out my unit. They had literally broken the composite trailer bed into three pieces. this machine was only 6 months old when I took in into his shop. I asked him what happened to my trailer bed and his response was.." it was that way when you brought it in" Of course I was then about to have an out of body experience with Reeves. I assured him that it was practically new when I brought in in two months early and he was only supposed to change one bolt and washer. He told me that I could take my machine and leave. I left without the machine and called DR. They told me to go pick up my machine and take it to Ellis Equipment to get the recall worked and the trailer bed replaced, which I did. The trailer bed was 600.00 dollars. Fortunately DR paid for it all. Do NOT use Reeves if you care about your equipment. Dishonest read more

I took my mower here on June 6. I noticed a sign on the counter that said something about 4 weeks wait so I k ew going in it would take awhile. It's summer time so no surprise there. He estimated the charges at $30 but I thought there might more to it than that and there was. He replaced the fuel line and found it also needed a new carburetor and suggested anew air filter. I was not surprised about any of this but it is a nice mower so I said do it. I picked the mower up today(4 weeks) and it runs great. I can recommend this place but please understand you can't drop your mower off this week and expect to mow your lawn with it next week. Total cost $121.00 and worth it read more

Customer service is my main complaint. I brought in a riding mower to have an idler pulley and belt replaced. Decided to have the oil changed while it was there. They had my mower for 8 weeks and never once called me with an estimate or status. After many attempts to call them during that time, I was finally able to get someone to answer. They gave me excuses, but still no estimate and no status. I was off work today so decided to take my trailer and go get the mower -- whatever condition it was in. They had completed the work I requested, but decided the engine also needed a tuneup (which I declined), so THAT was why they had not called me!! I have no idea how long they would have kept my mower if I had not gone to pick it up. No apology was offered. read more

DONT TAKE YOUR ANYTHING HERE TO GET FIXED! We contact Reeves on June 1st and requested he come pick up our riding mower for some warranty work. The nut fell off the drive belt pulley assembly. It took him 3 weeks to come get the mower. We were understanding as he claimed to be very busy. He is the Troy-Bilt service center closest to us. After a couple months, we drove to the business to check on the mower. My husband was very frustrated and told Mr. Reeves that we would just pay cash as it was taking way to long to get the warranty approved and completed. He told my husband it would be ready the following day. When we got home I called Troy-Bilt warranty department to verify that the upgrade kit was needed and to find out why it was taking so long to get the work approved. I'm a mechanic but I can no longer do that kind of work, due to my disability. Troy-Bilt told me there was no upgrade kit of any kind and that they had not received any request for warranty work. When I called Mr. Reeves and told him that we would not be paying cash and that Troy-Bilt has no upgrade kit, nor any record for warranty repair, he got extremely angry and told me it would take months to get my mower now. Just because I called the company to verify his statements, he decided to make us suffer for it. 2 months later, he finally gets our mower done. He told me when we had it picked up, that they had to remove the body of the mower in order to put the nut back on. We had the original nut, which we sent with the mower. No parts were missing. When we finally got the mower back, he had cut a hole in the body, instead of removing the body. The hole is rough and will cut you if your not careful. The receipt shows that he had to replace the pulley, nut, bolt and washer. When I looked under the mower, there were no new parts. He is charging Troy-Bilt for parts and labor, that he didn't actually put on my mower. This is unacceptable to me. This company is so dishonest. I will never recommend, nor take anything to be fixed, to this company. It took 4 months and some days to get my mower back. He doesn't treat customers fairly. Don't use this company! He will cheat you and if doing warranty work, he will cheat the warranty company. read more

I have used Reeves Mow Better for the last 8 years on many repairs. They are honest and reliable. The mechanics are professional and very good.Reeves Mow Better is the best. I have a small engine certification but are to old and disabled to perform most services. I relate to all communications from Mr. Reeves and he does not try to take advantage of his customers.For good service and honest professional mechanics I would highly recommend Reeves Mow Better. read more

This guy and place is crooked and dishonest! Find another mow shop if you don't want to get ripped off. He would not do any warranty work and told me if my mower was less than 90 days old that it would be covered under warranty on the mow deck, even though it says right on it, 10 year warranty, he told me he had never heard of that in 15 plus years... he would have charged me $200 to fix the mow deck that he says is a very common issue, which tells me he has done this many, many times... That is dishonest and unacceptable. Again, DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! read more

He had my mower for 7 weeks. He never called to give me updates I always had to call him. I finally got sick of waiting and went and picked it up. No work had been done to the mower. I wish I didn't have to give 1 star because that's being to generous. read more

Took mower in in April for simple repair Never heard from them for over 4 weeks. Phoned them to inquire as to the status of repair and they could not tell me whether it had been done or not at that time. Said they would phone me as soon as they knew something. A week later I drove there with a trailer to pick up my machine. It was repaired but when I inquired as to why I had not received a phone call, the woman at the counter got rude with me as if I was being unreasonable with my inquiry. This lack of communication is unacceptable for any service business and I will never return again. read more
