In 2 months they increased my bill estimate by $20 but didn't give me the printout of the updated plan amount. Also, the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth stabbed my tongue with an implement so I yelled ouch! She also forgot to floss my bridge. I had to ask her. Billing acts as if you understand math without a calculator and if you ask questions about the plan, they make you feel like you're being cheap or something. Also, Dr. Gooch himself said we will do 2 cleanings, 4 hrs total. "You have a disease we will clean each quadrant an hour each". I didn't get it done right away because I had a slipped disc and when I went, I said I'm in some pain,. I might not be able to lie for 2 hours. This was supposed to be the first of two 2 hour appointments. Well guess what? The dental hygienist finished in 45 minutes. I paid $635 for 45 minutes! That's like $1,000/hr. The cleaning was supposed to take 4 hours total and it took 45 minutes! That means they're committing fraud - They are charging for a service that they did not provide. It is not a coincidence that they have a 3.8 rating here. I'm going to talk to the office manager and demand all itemized receipts, my records. They are literally overcharging me - more than the estimate I was shown.

This review is a long but necessary one for those parents like me that need more substance. Overall, we love Oak Mountain pediatric dentistry office and know you will too! Our daughter had to have a baby tooth pulled after a great attempt at keeping it as long as possible. Who on earth would think that a child would actually enjoy that experience? My daughter started off a little hesitant but quickly started singing to Frozen during the whole process. They made sure she was comfortable, alert and calm. They have tv's on the ceiling and the chairs are actually more like a relaxing bed. She was involved in the process from choosing her flavor gas to the colors of whatever tools had an option. It truly helped her relax and allow the process since she felt like the decision maker. When I tell you that as a parent, I actually almost teared up that we found this place. Not only were they able to extract the problem tooth, they identified a smaller cavity that could turn into a problem and fixed it at the same appointment in addition to coating her other molars to protect them. The quality of care is superb. They answered every question and even leading up to the procedure called to check on us. They provided after hours instructions. I could go on and on. If you're thinking about bringing your little ones here, I'd recommend acting now before they're full and can't take any new patients!

Everyone has a great personality--it's nothing like your typical cold, dim, stale dentist office. All of the dental assistants and front office staff seem genuinely happy where they're working, which is also atypical for most medical offices. I've even had several of them tell me how great Dr. Brewer is as an employer, and that definitely shows in the great customer service they provide. Dr. Brewer is a patient, thorough dentist that doesn't seem to be in a big rush to get done with you and on to the next patient, and is willing to answer any questions you may have. With that said, he's also very punctual to his schedule. I've been going to this office for about a year now and I've never waited more than 10 minutes to be taken back to a room for cleaning or for him to come in after the cleaning. Now that I've moved, this office is rather inconvenient to where I live, but they're so good it's well worth the drive. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

New patient process was super quick and simple, they immediately helped me fill out my forms and took me inside. Waiting room and the clinic was super clean. They made sure the treatment was painless and always made sure if I was comfortable. At the end of the treatment they consult me and gave me tips to maintain a healthy teeth. On top of that, after the treatment they gave me a dental kit. It was a great painless experience, I'm glad I found Dr. Brook and already booked my next appointment.
