This review is a long but necessary one for those parents like me that need more substance. Overall, we love Oak Mountain pediatric dentistry office and know you will too! Our daughter had to have a baby tooth pulled after a great attempt at keeping it as long as possible. Who on earth would think that a child would actually enjoy that experience? My daughter started off a little hesitant but quickly started singing to Frozen during the whole process. They made sure she was comfortable, alert and calm. They have tv's on the ceiling and the chairs are actually more like a relaxing bed. She was involved in the process from choosing her flavor gas to the colors of whatever tools had an option. It truly helped her relax and allow the process since she felt like the decision maker. When I tell you that as a parent, I actually almost teared up that we found this place. Not only were they able to extract the problem tooth, they identified a smaller cavity that could turn into a problem and fixed it at the same appointment in addition to coating her other molars to protect them. The quality of care is superb. They answered every question and even leading up to the procedure called to check on us. They provided after hours instructions. I could go on and on. If you're thinking about bringing your little ones here, I'd recommend acting now before they're full and can't take any new patients!

I'm new to Hoover & very happy to have found the pediatric branch of Brocks Gap Dentistry!…read more I scheduled an appointment for my oldest child, as a follow up to having a tooth extracted in our previous state. Upon entering the office we were pleasantly surprised to see his name displayed on an a-frame sign, welcoming him as a new patient. How thoughtful! I've since returned with my younger two children for cleanings & for follow up visits for my oldest. My entire crew enjoys visiting this practice! Staff has been consistently friendly & helpful. Hygienist and doctors are skilled & knowledgable. They have provided quality care and ongoing clear communication. Paperwork is complete online prior to appointments or in-office with a tablet. The waiting area are child friendly & fun -- complete with arcade style game machines (Pac-Man, Stargate, Galaga, Multicade) and sit-on monster trucks. If you're looking for a pediatric dentist, I highly recommend scheduling with Brock's Gap Pediatric Dentistry!

Not many people understand what it's like to parent a special needs child. In our case, every day is different and many times good oral hygiene is a struggle, leading to many, many teeth and gum issues. We have taken our daughter to over 20 dentists in the Birmingham metro area (yes, early on, we called UBA and the wait was a year for anesthesia), and Brocks Gap is THE ONLY DENTISTS who were willing to save our daughter's teeth. THEY CARE. Dentists, hygienists, DAs, managers, receptionists, etc. are there to help, but this is how they feed their families and they must be paid (this is a finger shaking to the negative reviewers who are angry that they charge a late or no-show fees). They went above and beyond to help a middle-class family who did not have all the funds to give their daughter a new start with her teeth. They are working with a new company that doesn't focus on credit score allows patients to make monthly payments for dental work, so if you think you can't afford to go to the dentist, give them a call. They have so many options for struggling families just like us. If you have a fear of dental work, you can even request anesthesia, which is a must with our child, who has extreme anxiety and could not tolerate the time sensitive and lengthy dental care she needed. If you have a child who is autistic, you will be in VERY SAFE HANDS at Brocks Dental. We will be letting families everywhere know that there is a dental facility that can care for the whole family, but ESPECIALLY our autism babies who need the kind of care that they give. We will never, ever forget the compassion and empathy given by each person who makes Brocks Gap what it is, a place where parents are not judged, and a true love of children and their well-being is so very apparent. Thank you to everyone who has greeted us with a smile, understood when we needed to reschedule due to melt downs or blown tires (we drive over an hour to them, because it's worth it). given patience to a very sensitive 16 year old and still helped us when Mom has had stress induced breakdowns. We would not trust anyone else with our daughter. There's a special place in heaven for those who care about children and who are humbly gracious with the struggles of others. We are so blessed to know them! Lisa Dolce

I was thinking I would have to have braces again and at my age I didn't want wire ,I wanted Invisaligns. This would have cost around $1600. Dr. Browne assured me that I wouldn't need to get braced up again and that my teeth had not lost much alignment. Whew! Instead, I paid for an impression for a new top retainer and I picked up in 2 days! I couldn't believe the short turn around time. BUT WAIT there's more! My bottom retainer had a rough edge on it. Dr. Browne clipped and smoothed it off and it was as good as new. No charge! (+) I am most appreciative to Dr. Browne's HONESTY. No one tried to upsell me or get me to buy products I didn't really need. I'm grateful to the efficiency of the staff and getting the work done in such a timely manner. Gentle music, calm atmosphere, massage chairs, a blanket if you want - all the things. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and the staff and doctors are so attentive. I've had regular cleanings as well as fillings and, most recently, a crown (same day!) at this location. I have zero complaints about any of these interactions. They develop a care plan with you before treatment, so there are no surprises when you're done. My 5-year old daughter also is seen here and she has developed an early enjoyment of going to the dentist, which I know is uncommon. They are so patient and gentle with her and she has no qualms about going for her cleanings. All-in-all, I would recommend this group to anyone seeking dental care.

Finally on April 12,2026, weeks of discomfort and denial of assistance, I contacted an emergency dental clinic, was seen immediately and the diagnosis was I needed a root canal and antibiotics. The infection could have entered my bloodstream, possibly resulting in death. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR ANY SERVICE!!!
