Unfortunately, I had 3 bad experiences with this company. My brother selected them to replace our…read moreair conditioner. Their bid was the highest but we chose them based on their high rating. The first problem was they exposed black wiring to the new thermostat. With the high contract price I was expecting above average installation techniques. A black wire showing against my white bedroom wall was not attractive. It should have been hidden. Second, the condenser located in the outdoor space between my unit and my neighbor's banged and rattled when turning on and off so loudly that my neighbor's complained to me insisting I have the noise investigated. So I called Apollo to look at it and accepted their service fee even though it was a new unit. They came out, collected their $95 fee and said the noise was normal and there was nothing to be done about it. As I later found out from another contractor, all it needed was a very small cushion spacer to pad the metal grate that protects the coils. My neighbors are speaking to me again. Third, one day I came home to a blank thermostat screen. Since my home is a second home, I rely on the ac to run to keep mold from growing. Who knows how long the thermostat had no power? After reporting the problem to Apollo they suggested checking the pvc condensation line for a clog, offering to come check it for another $95 fee. I decided to explore the issue myself and discovered an old, burned out fuse in the exterior electrical disconnect box. I can't believe they didn't install new fuses along with their high installation fee of my new ac. The unit is only 15 months old. Three strikes, they are out. I can't recommend them.
