Other companies were quick to advise me that certain other trees needed to be taken down in order to access the 3 large pines we wanted to be removed for safety reasons. I was extremely pleased that Jon was able to "think outside the box", coming up with a way to remove the large pines without taking out other trees. I knew at that moment that he was the man for the job! The cost was quite reasonable and the time of year (Feb '22) didn't deter them from doing the work in a timely, efficient manner. Timmy, the foreman, and his crew cut down 5 trees ( 2 were oak) in all, showing much skill in operating the crane and other equipment in very tight quarters. Before leaving for the day, they did a thorough job cleaning the yard. I also appreciated the crew taking the time to show me the red rot and/or cracks they discovered in the pine tree trunks, along with an explanation, once they were taken down. The service they provide is exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for future tree work!

It was an agonizing and expensive decision, but McClures showed up on time -as promised, and within 7 hours left nothing but sawdust. The crew was exceptionally professional and focused and did not even take a lunch break!! They made sure the area was secured, and reassured us it was the safest decision. There were options, but all of the options eventually would've led to the taking down of the tree. We are no longer worried about the safety of our home or the homes and vehicles of our surrounding neighbors.

I was impressed by their professionalism and teamwork (by a crew of four, utilizing built-in radios in their helmets for communications). They did an excellent job cleaning the slash and stacking logs to be processed for firewood. They showed up on time and completed the job in four hours, including a trip back to their shop to bring in a tracked excavator. I've worked with two other tree service companies and Wilcox is by far a "monadnock" by comparison, both in terms of performance and cost. Wilcox will be my "go-to" company for all future tree work! Jon verified that the tree did need to come down; he and his crew removed it (and one other abutting a neighbor's property). Their work was impeccable - there was virtually no evidence of their having been on the property when they were done, and though the 2nd tree was dropped (with permission) on the neighboring field, there was not a branch left anywhere to indicate that this had been done. Their staging area was completely cleared and raked clean before they left. We will certainly call them again should the need arise.

We hired S K Lawn Care for the mowing season to take care of two properties. After a month had…read moregone by between mows, reached out and was told a vehicle was in the shop. When we tried to get an ETA we were not responded to for nearly a week. After finally mowing, they again didn't return to the properties for over a month claiming their phone had poor service. When checking the properties after they finally did mow it was clear they rushed through the job, left areas untouched, and we had significant overgrowth in parts of the properties that hadn't been touched all season. Tenants reported they were only at the property for about 15 minutes, and it was obvious there had been no trimming/edging done in addition to large swaths being uncut. When reaching out about the issues they asked what was wrong and we provided with numerous pictures of the issues, to which they just stopped communicating completely. Just the worst possible level of quality and communication.
