I was quite impressed with Phil's Tree Service from point of contact to completion of the job. Jon was prompt in returning my phone calls and emails, taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions I had. Other companies were quick to advise me that certain other trees needed to be taken down in order to access the 3 large pines we wanted to be removed for safety reasons. I was extremely pleased that Jon was able to "think outside the box", coming up with a way to remove the large pines without taking out other trees. I knew at that moment that he was the man for the job! The cost was quite reasonable and the time of year (Feb '22) didn't deter them from doing the work in a timely, efficient manner. Timmy, the foreman, and his crew cut down 5 trees ( 2 were oak) in all, showing much skill in operating the crane and other equipment in very tight quarters. Before leaving for the day, they did a thorough job cleaning the yard. I also appreciated the crew taking the time to show me the red rot and/or cracks they discovered in the pine tree trunks, along with an explanation, once they were taken down. I was surprised when they called to say they were on their way because there was a bad storm in the area recently with a lot of trees down and they still found time to do the trimming and cutting I needed. They were very efficient. No wasted movement. It was like a well choreographed dance. They were very respectful of all the other trees and plantings and they cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know they were here. I would definitely use them again. read more

Phil's Tree service did a great job removing 2 huge trees and trimming up some other trees in my yard. They are timely, professional, reasonably priced and did a fantastic job cleaning up the mess after removal. I highly recommend them! 5 Stars all the way! It was awesome to watch them taking out a huge Hemlock with the crane, over houses and between trees. Amazing! Phil's Tree Service is absolutely the BEST. We had Phil take down some trees and grind stumps (2 visits). Phil is so professional and great to talk to ...he was informative about our tree removal and gave solid recommendations. He quoted us a reasonable price and threw in a couple of misc. limbs that were going over the house, free of charge. He showed up when he promised, and the area was all cleaned up nice, like no one had even been there. I called him 8 months later or so to grind some stumps we couldn't remove on our own. Again, he was responsive, quoted us a fair price and did the job when he promised and left no mess! Great guy, great service. I am so pleased with the work Phil's Tree Service did for us. When we decided to have the large tree & stump removed from our front yard, we called 5 tree companies in the area to give us quotes. Phil immediately called us back and came out that day. His quote was the lowest (1 company never called back). I was so pleased that his quote was the lowest, because I liked him the best out of the 4 that I met with. He was honest and didn't try to get me to do more than we wanted done. His crew came quickly and they were so neat and tidy that you'd hardly know they were here. They cleaned up everything including the dust in the road. I was very impressed. We had delayed getting down some trees on our property for years because of two other quotes that were far beyond our budget. Saw Phil's Tree truck around Keene and after a recommendation, I gave him a call. He called back in a reasonable amount of time, came by quickly and gave us a quote that we almost couldn't believe. Due to the snow storms and cold this winter, him being able to come was delayed, but he finally showed up on a Saturday morning with his crew and went to work. Very professional, but friendly! Took the amount of time he said it would and cleaned up well and fast. Extremely pleased. Plus, the actual cost was surprisingly below the quote he had given us. Quick, Responsive, Honest, Straightforward, and Professional. I had a tree half dead in my back yard in an area where it is not easy to get any equipment. Phil's came in with their crane and took care of it no problem. Much to my surprise when I came home the only evidence that they had been there was the stump left in the back yard from where they cut the tree from.
